We've been going to Thida for years back to the old location. It use to be the best. However for the past year, their service absolutely is the WORST. Placed an online order tonight. Called the business to confirm they received it, no answer. Called a few mins later, someone answered, then hung up. Called back 15 mins later, someone answered and then left the phone on. Drove 20 mins to pick it up. Got there, "oh we didn't know we had this order. It's not ready." NEVER AGAIN and I caution those of you who value your time and money. read more

This place is really good. It's a little pricey, and the lunch may be cheaper, but the food was good. I had the crab fried rice, and the salmon skin salad appetizer was good. I'll have to try their sushi next time. Their seared ahi tuna was decent also. Good presentation. read more

Smyrna is growing tremendously and I am so glad they have a good Thai restaurant! Thida Thai had great customer service and were very attentive. We arrived about a quarter til 4 and there was one occupied table. We opted to sit st the bar. We ordered a few different sushi rolls, spring rolls, and wonton noodle soup. Sushi chef gave us complimentary rice ball sushi thing and it was delicious!! The sushi rolls were also amazing. The spring rolls were bland. The soup was okay but lacked a little flavor. It wasn't salty but it did have a little sweetness that didn't do well with the flavor of the noodles. read more

The food is very good. Service can be hit or miss. We ordered food at 5:30pm over the phone to be ready at 6:30pm. Food was not ready when we arrived. Waited for 20-25 minutes after we arrived for food to be ready. Might have just been a bad night, but there were a number of customers there who were having similar experiences. You're in Smyrna, so I don't expect Michelin stars. Having said that, it's pretty good Thai food for the area. I was surprised that four of five stars wasn't particularly hot. The steamed dumplings were good. I had a green curry with pork that was fine. The hot sake ok but not great. I wasn't offered a second drink, so I can't report on others. My dad once came here and waited 10-15 minutes without being served, so he left. I thought it might happen again tonight, as initial service is VERY slow. Definitely an area for improvement. Service was better after the food arrived. Atmosphere is fine. I'd return when visiting, but improved initial service would make for a better experience. read more

Thida Thai does not advertise their correct price. I ordered an item of the menu I always order and the price was more than $10 more per plate. Their prices changes depending on who's there. They told me one price over the phone, and then by the time I got in to pick up my food it was $25 more than what they told me over the phone. I won't be back. You don't get a decent portion for the food ordered. I ordered for three people and the bill was over $95! Waste of $$. Won't be back!! read more

The customer service here is AWFUL. I walked in the restaurant and stood by the host station to request my Togo order and 2 people looked directly at me and didn't acknowledge my existence. Didn't think much of it until 2 family walked in after me and one of the ladies immediately sat them down. This didn't happen once BUT TWICE! First visit this evening. We arrived at 7:15, and was seated right away. Perfect timing because it filled up soon after that. Good thing there is a patio. Our server got our drink orders, brought them back and took our food order and that was the last time we saw her. She got a big table out on the patio. Didn't let us know we would have a different server. No biggie, but we had to ask the servers that delivered our food for soy sauce, and another bowl for the huge bowl of Pho we ordered. The bowl she brought was dirty, so my friend didn't even get to taste it. (She didn't want to wait for another bowl as she had somewhere else to be tonight after we finished) She ordered the Curry fried rice dish, "3 Hot" with chicken. It wasn't hot at all. Couldn't really even taste the Curry in it. (We both LOVE Curry) I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with just vegetables. It was OK. I ate about half of it because I was pretty hungry. Not the best I've ever had. We thought they had forgot about our Pho, they finally brought it out about 10-15 minutes later. It was average. Not a bad price $12.95. I've definitely had much better. Its a little bit high priced, compared to other Thai places I've been to in Murfreesboro and elsewhere. I think if they had at least one more server our experience would have been better. It was my friends first time trying Thai food, and she wasn't impressed, at all. I'll definitely take her elsewhere though! I LOVE Thai food. I won't going back. read more

Thida Thai hasn't not disappointed us since we moved to La Vergne in 2020!

Arrived a few minutes before 2:00. Hostess/waitress didn't seem happy to see us. After she sat us with menus, she came back about 5 minutes later (2:04). I asked if they had any lunch specials because we got the dinner menu, she said (In a nasty tone) that lunch stops at 2:00, I said it is now 5 after and we got here before 2:00, she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I noticed that the clock over the register is set about 15 minutes fast. If you go through that much trouble to stop serving lunch... Why serve it at all? To be fair I started writing this review while waiting for my food and had given them 1 star. The food is a solid 4 plus.. But points deducted for bad customer service. read more

We've been to the old location a few times and haven't been blown away. I don't know why I thought new location would equal better food. It's not horrible, but its just not great. I do like the new location, it was beautiful night last night so we sat in their outdoor patio. I've gotta say, service here is fast. Inside was almost full, and outside was filling up quickly, but the food managed to come out pretty fast. For our appetizers - we had the California Roll, Shrimp Fresh Roll, and ahi tuna poke. California roll was fine, fresh roll needed some improvement - the wrap was hard and chewy, there was little to no shrimp (see pictures) and we just didn't enjoy the plum sauce. Ahi tuna poke was ok, the sauce was a little sweet, but not bad. Entrees: Wonton Noodle Soup with egg noodles - the broth was good, not overly salty, and the wontons had good flavor, but it was such a small portion for $10 Combination Lad Nah - hearty portion, comes in a bowl, but flavor was off, too much oyster sauce. And pricey at $15 Tilapia with mushrooms - pretty good flavor, crispy fish and plenty of mushrooms For the price we paid, we were highly underwhelmed. my favorite food, pho, is some of the best I've had in Nashville area. Since they close on Sunday, it's best to get pho Tuesday or later, so it can stew longer. Try the lard na, tom kha gai, spring rolls, mee krob, Sua Rong Hai, pho and Yum Pla Muk. The soups are the best already had the pad phed, green curry, and pad thai. I've had better. Some friends and I went to Thida Thai for dinner on a Thursday night, I had never been before, but they both really liked it, so I figured I'd give it a shot! We were seated right away, and started looking over the menu. They have a large variety of Thai, sushi, pho and Vietnamese options. Our waitress didn't speak very well English, so it was a little difficulty order, but everything came out quickly and tasted delicious. The food did end up making me a little sick later that evening, but I will give them one more try so make sure it wasn't just a fluke! read more

I live and work, basically, across the street from this place. Lot has happened since my last review and thus the upgrade to 5 stars. Where do I start? New location - this layout feels more welcoming as the cash register/host greets you as soon as the door opens. Expanded menu - there is, now, a sushi bar that offers a variety of items. Tuna tataki is an appetizer every time we dine in. You can taste the tuna, presentation is appealing, with 10 pieces - good for sharing with 2-3 friends. While I still continue to enjoy the duck noodle soup, the pad thai has also taken a permanent spot on my list of go-to items. Throw in a level 4 heat and I'm good! Their lunch sized portion is a satisfying portion, but beware that "combination" is not on the discounted lunch menu. Note: American Express is no longer accepted here. read more

I've liked everything I tried and don't have any complaints about the place. The food comes out fast, the staff are real friendly, and the prices are real low.
