We usually bring our own board games and just enjoy hanging out with friends. We love the bar and the pizza. We've been coming here for a little over a year now and always have a great experience. The movie nights are also such a fun touch and make it a really relaxed, chill space. The only small suggestion would be possibly extending the menu in the future, but honestly, no complaints at all, we love this place.

The Acre has fairly limited hours, so make sure you double check before you head over. There is grassy parking lot with lots of spots, and then it is just a few steps to The Acre. There are a couple of different buildings on the property, and lots of outdoor seating and grassy areas. You can grab flatbreads from the Market and drinks from the bar. The menus are fairly limited, but it is so great sipping on a drink or enjoying a flatbread while lounging outside. We grabbed the Margherita Flatbread and White Flatbread. While slightly on the expensive side, they were delicious. The crust had a nice crunch, with a fluffy inside. The toppings were fresh. We also tried three of the drinks, and they were all good! My favorites were the Garden Mule and Bougainvillea. This is an ideal spot to hang out for a few hours and we love that there isn't any pressure to get in and out. You walk over to the bars and market, so whenever you want something you can grab it, but there aren't any waiters or the worry that you are spending too long at a table. There are pretty lights at night, and it is just such a cozy and relaxing spot!
Canvas Event Venue

Orlando definitely lacks good venue rental options for larger events, so I'm happy to see this new option. It's located right in front of the Florida Mall, so there was plenty of parking, but they also offered a valet service which was very helpful. I like that it is a 2-floor open concept so you still feel connected to what's happening downstairs, but you're able to break up the crowd a bit. I believe there were about 400 people in attendance and it never felt overly congested. I can definitely see this becoming a popular wedding and party venue and there are so many ways to get creative with the space and tailor it to your individualized needs. I added the listing to Yelp since they weren't on here yet (in the hopes of helping more people discover this space), so the photos are from their website.

They have two food trucks and a small bar that serves canned beer and seltzers. The food trucks are over priced and don't have a ton of food options. I'm not sure if outside food and drink is allowed because you'd probably be better off bringing your own items while you enjoy any games that play.

I've had the pleasure of attending a yoga event as well as a salsa event at The Balcony and both times I left wanting to figure out an event to host at this beautiful site. Though getting in to the building and up to the right floor is a bit of a process, the view that awaits is worth every head scratch. This is truly a Balcony, but much larger than you'd imagine. They've used the space for cocktail parties, seated dinners, weddings, fitness events, and I imagine a photo shoot or two. The space is available for rent, and I've made a point to take a tour (which you can schedule any time) to check it out when they didn't have an active event happening. The indoor space you'd walk thru for The Balcony is actually a marketing agency. I haven't been in several months, but it doesn't seem to provide a lot of weather backup space, so one thing to note. Then again, this place is so unique, you'll be convinced to cross your fingers and pray for clear skies!

From an intimate 7 person dinner party to a literary function with a stage and full house- this flex-space has functioned well and left people with lots of share-worthy moments. In terms of a venue there's the advantage of a small kitchen as well as storage space that is closed off from the main area. Additionally, there is a parking lot that services the warehouses and that is largely unused in the evening. Eola House
(3 reviews)
4 Stars for location, location, location!…read more Eola House is a historic 1924 house-turned-rental space owned by the city, right by Lake Eola. It may seem like an odd sight in the middle of the park, but in fact it used to exist in a line of historic homes that were taken down for the park expansion. Now it sits alone, right off of the walking path surrounding the Lake. The home is lovely and features a sunroom, living room, parlor, outdoor terrace, upstairs area with a balcony, bridal changing room, and more. Recently I went for a lunch meeting in their upstairs space, the Summerlin Room ($75/hr rental with a 2 hr min). It was a lovely spot and fit our group of fifteen perfectly. I'll admit that I had been to the house once before to help with another event and the room wasn't set to the specifications agreed upon so we had to move and reset the chairs and tables right before the meeting. I remember the event organizer was quite annoyed... Hopefully it was a fluke! Side note- There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This is worth mentioning in case your event includes someone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair. As I was heading out I stopped in a room by the front and appreciated the array of pamphlets set up- ranging from history of the house to an Orlando biking map. There were also tourist pamphlets with the typical attractions (presumably for out of town guests of weddings of meetings). Overall, this is a beautiful meeting/event space that is priced reasonably and located in the heart of the city.

Today the house is owned by the City of Orlando and they rent it for reasonable rates for private events like parties and weddings. A full listing of the prices can be found on their website. In addition the house has a welcome center and park offices. On the day I visited the house was closed and I could only peak through the windows. This looks like a fabulous venue for weddings and outdoor parties on the lawn.

We weren't told what it was so I can't say, but I'll post a photo of it. It was cooked perfectly. Parking was plentiful. the venue is on the second floor. It's beautiful inside. The colors, aesthetic, layout. The play area is gated off. Everything is baby proofed. Two story play area with climbing, ball pit, low stimulation touch screen game, mini trampolines, and more. There's a small area specifically for infants. I climbed around the entire structure as well. There's at least one worker supervising and cleaning the play area. The cafe is outside of the play area, but very close where you can supervise your child. There are also 4 cameras so you can see your child even if they're inside of or behind a structure. There are 2 large companion restrooms with diaper pails, stairs for toddlers to reach the sink, & most everything is touch free. I really appreciated how clean everything was. We will definitely be back!

You can have one part of the event or all at the club. They have ceremony space, reception space, and cocktail hour space if you are willing to host part of the event outdoors. We used the club just for our ceremony and it was so perfect. We had about 80 guests seated which took up about 2/3 of the room. I think they can do up to around 150 seated. There are beautiful mantels on either end of the main room which we used for our event. It was so beautiful and intimate. We loved the historic touches which had also been recently renovated before our event. At the end of our wedding, our guests were directed to the lawn. We then exited down the sidewalk aisle into our getaway car. A wonderful photo opp! Easy to work with, they have a very fair price. Ceremony alone here cost us less than $1,000!
