It definitely has its slow days, but Valentine's here and some of the small markets the set up are definitely gorgeous and well-themed. We went on a Saturday during the daytime and it was peaceful and quiet. I want to say we were one of 4 other couples/families that had stopped by. Their boozy buckets are amazing!!

Very beautiful place. The food is amazing. Perfect scenery for photography and a girls night. Beautiful during the day as well. Very good prices, free entry, games, drinks and food available.

Cute place to go and hang out! They have a full bar and small restaurant. The pizza was great and all of the staff were friendly. The grounds are kept clean and plenty of space to sit. Parking can be tricky but found a spot in the back. Pet friendly and good vibes!

Back in the day, you'd hear reminiscing about taking a Sunday drive to get away from the city. The Acre provides the same experience without leaving the metro area. The outdoor venue surprised me by the way I felt like I had been transported to someplace other than Orlando. The trees, bushes, bamboo groves, and other green flora plus the strategic placement of small structures, provides new adventures for children and different locations for adults to hang out. The Lodge provides a break from the Florida heat and humidity and includes TV monitors streaming sports, comfy furniture and a pool table. The Kitchen provides a limited number of food choices and adult beverages. I enjoyed the soft pretzel with cheese sauce and spicy mustard. At least two other locations also served adult beverages. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available for purchase. Each time I visited, the Little Coffee house was closed, so a return visit is in order. Movie nights and other events can be found on their website. Parking is plentiful. Be sure to use an app to find the place! The rules are simple. Be sure to kick back and enjoy a lovely venue located right here in the metro area.

Garden room with tables near the field where they play movies on a projector. Also has its own bar inside.

My partner and I are always at the acre. We discovered it back in January of 2024 and we've seen this place grow so much. I absolutely love their pizza's and it's always a fun time. We've brought so many friends here over the past year and I try to make it out to almost every collective corner Sunday (flea market held on the first Sunday of every month). We've gotten henna tattoos done there and we love playing pool when we go. I love that they hold events and it's so family and pet friendly. We've spoken to the staff on a few different occasions and they are all so friendly. I love seeing the familiar faces as time goes on because it really shows the character of this place. All in all good vibes and a good time. And as a bonus, they are sister companies with the Wellborn! Another place I love (but wish the parking was better at the wellborn). You can also reserve the Acre for its initial purpose, which was a wedding and event venue!

I have been wanting to visit for a long time, and when I saw that Collective Corner was having a pop-up market here, I thought it was the perfect time to come by. I arrived at 11am on a Sunday when the market started. There are a few different grass lots to park in, but even right at 11, it was a little tight. The layout of The Acre is really unique. It has many small structures on the property that have a little market, a bar, pizza, etc. I made my way to the booths and shopped around. It was a good layout with plenty of room to wander. The venue is dog friendly and I brought my pup with me. It was a very enjoyable time spent here. There was a van transformed into a bar where I ordered a Blood Orange Mexican Mule. The bartender was great. I like that the juices used are fresh and not just bought mixer. The attention to crafting the cocktail was perfection. We sat in the table area where I enjoyed my wonderful drink and environment. I can't wait to come back at night time to see all the lights lit up and try a pizza.

In case you didn't know, The Acre is under new ownership and is now more than just a wedding & event venue. They are open on select days to the public and have been hosting a variety of fun family-friendly events, markets, and festivals. So far, I've been to the Asian Moonlight Fest and Collective Corner market, and The Acre really does lend itself well to these sorts of events. The only challenge is always parking. I've attended (and worked) several weddings & events at The Acre in years past and I love what they've done with the property to make it feel more like a welcoming gathering place for kids and adults. It's always been a unique venue to enjoy the outdoors and with the nicer weather starting to roll in, this is sure to be a local hot spot this fall/winter. I visited this past weekend with my husband and baby to check out their normal operations (outside of when they have events & pop-ups happening). They have a little coffee & ice cream hut, a market & kitchen featuring ciabatta pizzas and beer/wine, multiple bars, plenty of seating areas and tables, an indoor lounge with a pool table, a tequila truck, firepit, kids playground area, restrooms, and more. On the weekends, they also bring in their own entertainment like stilt walkers, magicians, caricature artists, face painting, etc. Be sure to check their IG for upcoming events, hours, and special entertainment offerings. We tried the cacio e pepe dip, veggie pizza & pepperoni pizza. The dip was amazing -- it's made with ricotta & pesto and was served with perfectly toasted bread. I will say they really have that ciabatta on lock. I also enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. We ordered a couple Aperol spritzes to sip and enjoy in a nice shady spot. I appreciate that they have a couple indoor spaces as well and that the property is (mostly) stroller friendly. There are a few all grass/gravel areas and a few places with steps to enter. Right now, it's all decorated for fall with lots of pumpkins everywhere. It's definitely a great place to take you fall photos and I'm excited to see what they do for the holidays!

I will always sing The Acre's praises! We came to check out a collective market and had a great experience! All the vendors were really well curated. Everything was organized. Parking was good. We love the veggie pizza and enjoyed eating it in their indoor area. This is such a great venue to hang out and explore. They have food, drinks, coffee, and so much to do!

Cute little spot to hang out and grab drinks with friends. I did feel like the price for food was a bit much. I ordered two adult pizzas, a small can of pringles, and a bottle of water. It cost me $40, which I feet is a little pricey. The cocktails are also good. Some nights they offer movies which is a fun and a good way to add to the experience.

This place is awesome! A nice little nook hidden away in plain sight. I was really surprised and now cozy this place was. Plenty of places for the kids to run and play, fantastic photo ops and delicious food and drinks. They have something for everyone there and I absolutely love how it's all outside. The only thing that I can see becoming a problem is the parking but that's really it. I can't wait to go back!

I came on a Sunday when they had their maker's market and it was packed. So packed, all their parking lots were full and we were directed to park in the church across the street. There was no crosswalk which made it dangerous to have to run to across, dodging cars, especially for families with children. The inside venue was cute and effortlessly chic. It was straight from a Pinterest board. I've been to similar venues like this in other countries so it's nice to have somewhere like this in Orlando. The market I saw had pizza, disassembled drinks and snacks you'd find at a convenience store. I was hoping for it to be a market with locally made food like other similar venues. Since it's Florida it was really hot, and most of the seating was under the sun and there were not enough umbrellas or shades. They had a really cute small coffee stand that is in a small shed, they have matcha latte and a graham cracker drink that looked tasty. I think overall this is a good start and I love the concept!

Three words - SO. STINKIN. CUTE. This venue hosts events such as weddings, or any group gathering really. I came here for a fitness event (Pilates Class hosted by HILI Fitness and Nona Socialista Run Club). After the event, there were vendors and you could explore the Acre a bit. They have a little playground for the kiddos, a restaurant and a coffee shop. The coffee shop, Little Coffee, was so petite and yummy. I love the Acre!

4 Stars for location, location, location!…read more Eola House is a historic 1924 house-turned-rental space owned by the city, right by Lake Eola. It may seem like an odd sight in the middle of the park, but in fact it used to exist in a line of historic homes that were taken down for the park expansion. Now it sits alone, right off of the walking path surrounding the Lake. The home is lovely and features a sunroom, living room, parlor, outdoor terrace, upstairs area with a balcony, bridal changing room, and more. Recently I went for a lunch meeting in their upstairs space, the Summerlin Room ($75/hr rental with a 2 hr min). It was a lovely spot and fit our group of fifteen perfectly. I'll admit that I had been to the house once before to help with another event and the room wasn't set to the specifications agreed upon so we had to move and reset the chairs and tables right before the meeting. I remember the event organizer was quite annoyed... Hopefully it was a fluke! Side note- There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This is worth mentioning in case your event includes someone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair. As I was heading out I stopped in a room by the front and appreciated the array of pamphlets set up- ranging from history of the house to an Orlando biking map. There were also tourist pamphlets with the typical attractions (presumably for out of town guests of weddings of meetings). Overall, this is a beautiful meeting/event space that is priced reasonably and located in the heart of the city.

Today the house is owned by the City of Orlando and they rent it for reasonable rates for private events like parties and weddings. A full listing of the prices can be found on their website. In addition the house has a welcome center and park offices. On the day I visited the house was closed and I could only peak through the windows. This looks like a fabulous venue for weddings and outdoor parties on the lawn.

Them: "No, it's a food hall in the Packing District." Me: "You are literally making up random words to me right now and saying them."   If you've lived in Orlando for most of your life like I have, you might've thought the only thing worth your time in this neighborhood was long-time staple Fairvilla Megastore. While Fairvilla's stamina and staying power are still going strong, there's a new entry into this previously otherwise under stimulating area--gentrification. Princeton & North OBT apparently underwent an industrial chic makeover in the past few years, becoming essentially "New College Park" (CP is a few blocks east), gaining a Publix, some trendy apartments called the Cannery, and the Great Southern Box Company food hall.   The GSBC concept is honestly great--it's a collection of locally-owned restaurants arrayed around a central bar in the middle of a big hall. There's large, open seating both inside and especially outside, where there's a large astroturf lawn with lounging chairs and lawn games. My review mostly focuses on the venue as a whole, specifically the bar in the middle, but there are multiple individual small businesses and vendors within that definitely deserve their own separate, stellar reviews at a later date, as the food at these is amazing - - these include Eighty Twenty, Antica Pizzeria, Fui Yo Mexicana, A Lo Cubano, Braza Brazilian Steakhouse, Waffle Sandwich Bar, and more. The sheer amount of choices makes this place a definite recommendation even though my group's most recent experience at the middle bar wasn't as good as my last one- - the concept and overall vibe is just that good.   A group of us went on a Friday night after work (my second visit) and sat in a booth near the bar. Prices are ok, $5-7 for beers, and $10-$14 for cocktails. The drinks on this trip were "Meh." A friend had already arrived and ordered one cocktail, sharing that she'd taken a while to get noticed even though the bar was not crowded and there were many bartenders. She also said her drink was mostly mixer ("It's all juice!"). I walked over to the bar and was served right away but was told that on a Friday night they were out of all beers except for two (Smithwick and an IPA). I ordered the Smithwick, which wasn't filled to the top; I later ordered a Honey & Thyme, which turned out to be a very light pour and mostly the lemon zest mixer, same as my friend's. My other friend ordered a Tony's Spicy Rita ($14) at that point and received it in a small plastic cup, as there were no more glasses.   That said, I'd visited here a year ago and remembered that the drinks and service were great, so I don't know if this was a rare off night or indicative of a longer, more permanent slide in quality. We ordered some GREAT food from Eighty Twenty, but more on that in a separate review of that business, as it deserves its own accolades.   The inconsistency of my two experiences in the center bar (each a year apart) is the only reason I give four stars instead of five, but I really do appreciate this concept as a whole, and I very much hope this place and the businesses within succeed and continue to be around for a long time.   I'll be visiting again for sure, and hopefully the next time will be a bit closer to what I remember on my first visit. Again, the concept and overall vibe is just that good. I DO recommend that Orlando residents (especially long-time residents who are just learning for the first time that Orlando has a Packing District) check this out, as no matter what, you'll find something good for every member of your group that will make it worth your time.

My first time having them, I fell immediately in love with their beef noodle option: Beef & Broccoli. It is flavorful and filling! The price points are standard (roughly $17.00 for the Beef & Broccoli). All other dishes are reasonably priced. As for A La Cart City as a place, it's centrally located off Orange Ave. There is PAID parking all around - sadly, unless you use the DTO promo code for a free two hours of parking, you will have to pay to park just about anywhere in Downtown Orlando. Parking is ample, but it can get pricey depending on when / where you park. There is ample seating downstairs and upstairs. It is service animal-friendly. They have a large screen for viewing sports or displaying any video (if you reserve the space for an event). The staff is kind, attentive, and helpful. They have a decent (not super large, but decent nonetheless) beer and wine selection. Price points are comparable to the other A La Cart locations. The overall location is great in the sense that it's a great spot to start a "bar-hop" vibe and make your way down into the thick of DTO. All in all, I am a fan of all three A La Cart lcoations. Also, did I mention, it is a great little spot for events! So, definitely visit them if you have not already.

It is now." -- The words painted on the stairs leading to this magical place. How can I not be a fan of The Space? This DIY venue, with no signage, located above Anthony's Pizza in Mills 50 is just so crazy that it makes me want more. They host a bunch of odd/quirky/artistic events including Literocalypse (a monthly reading series featuring local writers), figure drawing art sessions, crazy dance parties (ex: SPACE-FEST), nude yoga, zine-release parties, musicians from all around, etc. Park behind Anthony's and walk up the stairs to find fantastically decorated hallways (sheets, sheets, and more sheets!) in what I imagine used to be a regular apartment. I went for Literocalypse one night and found myself wandering the apartment between readings. It seemed like people lived there- the kitchen looked like I had stocked it in my early college days and there were some homemade brownies sitting there, tempting anyone brave enough to take one. Their website, though minimal, hints to the goals of this place with a simple message at the top: "culture. expression. collaboration. education. inspiration. community. progress." It seems you can rent the space for events or to live there- "rental rates are flexible and donation based." I dig that they have a calendar of events that seems to be kept up to date. Unfortunately, I've heard that they've recently been throwing shows and events to raise money to save The Space and I hear that the actual physical space is for sale, but hopefully with the support of the arts community it will remain in its current iteration or another. In the end, Orlando is better for having these types of unique, non-judgemental venues for young artists to explore themselves and for us less artistic folks to enjoy something very real and untainted. And yes, I hear the dance parties are pretty freaking nuts (and hot, with only window AC units).

And as to be expected, the event was amazing. Drinks were good - averagely priced. We also got a welcome shot and a glass of champagne to toast with to bring in the new year! Staff were super friendly and very attentive. I believe the control of the guest capacity aided in that as well because the staff were not overwhelmed and had the ability to attend to all guests in a timely manner. The music (DJ invited to curate the tunes for that evening) was great! Vibes were perfect and again, I put emphasis on the fact that this event was private so we were not crammed into this space. The Oliv Bar is on the quainter side of local bars but it's truly a nice venue. It has tree in the center - which adds a unique twits to the space. The bay windows add another level of uniqueness to the space as well but, pose a capacity challenge since the space is circular in nature. And circular spaces tend to foster areas of non-usable space. Beyond that, it's a unique design experience that isn't necessarily seen in most places. So, I appreciate that as an architectural designer. All in all, I'll definitely recommend this local bar. It's worth going on a regular night as well, as they aren't super packed and you can experience the vibes of the space without being overwhelmed with larger crowds - like you'll see more in the bars in downtown. Great event. Great space. Cannot wait to see what this year brings us all!!
