I LOOOOVVVEEEE The Acre. I've been a fan since 10+ years ago when I attended a Yelp event there and it's been one of my favorite spots ever since. I am so happy that they are now open to the public and it's not just for private events anymore. It's such a wonderful space with so many little areas to sit and chill and tons of great photo spots too! My sister and I recently went to one of the markets on a Sunday and had a great time just wandering around and shopping. We waited for about 20 minutes for coffee, there was only 1 person in there but I understand why, it's a super tight space. I do wish the coffee menu was posted OUTSIDE of the coffee hut. It made it awkward to have to squeeze into the actual coffee shop to see the menu and decide if waiting was worth it or not. We did not eat at The Acre but saw some of the food items and everything looked wonderful! The pizzas were definitely something I want to come back for! We stopped into the little shop to see what the offerings were. The cocktail ingredients ready to go is such a cute idea, when i'm not pregnant I definitely want to try one! The line for food was super long so we didn't wait to purchase anything this time. It's a great spot for date night or a relaxed group hang. read more

ve been wanting to check this place out for a while after seeing it all over social media, and I finally got the chance to visit during their Sunday market. The market features some amazing vendors, including a couple of vintage stores that I absolutely loved. This spot is perfect for hanging out with family--it's super kid-friendly and has two campfires that make the atmosphere feel cozy and magical. There's also a really cute coffee shop and a couple of bars scattered around the property, adding to its charm. They serve pizza, but I didn't try it since the portions seemed small for the price. One thing to note is that finding the place can be a bit tricky because it's tucked away in a suburban area--you can literally see people's backyards! Parking can also be a challenge, but if you visit on a weekday, it's likely to be less busy. read more

Ive heard nothing but amazing things about this place. So I finally got the chance to visit it! Parking was a bit tricky but I hear they are expanding the lot. They provide parking across the street when the lot is full. We went on a Saturday so we expected it to be busy. The ambiance is so relaxing. I love how it's kid friendly. My son played on the playground the whole time. I do wish that the playground was on grass rather than dirt. I tried the garden mule cocktail at the Wine Bar and it was 10/10. This place feels like an adult playground meets a cabin retreat! It's free entry, so this can be a budget-friendly night out whether it's a girls night, date night, or family outing! They have pretty late hours so no need to rush when the gates open. We saw plenty of families & pups out on a Saturday night, so bring whoever you'd like! We decided to grab a pizza from one of the restaurants that double as a convenient store. They have a few basic options in the menu, so we went with a Margherita style! For $14 at a place like this, not bad at all! It was more like a focaccia style crispy dough, generously topped, garden fresh tomatoey sauce - just perfection. It was enough to hold us over, but I would recommend getting an appetizer or a snack from the store if you want to feel like you ate a meal. There was a throwback movie playing on a projector in the larger green by the entrance with tables sprawled across the yard so bring a blanket or pillows if you want to have a cute lil picnic! There was also several open faced cabin style hangouts if you wanted to sit & play games (e.g. We're Not Really Strangers!), chit chat, have a drink, etc. They're all thoughtfully curated, cozy, & plenty of space to spread out with your group! There is SO MUCH seating everywhere, a little koi pond, campfires (you can buy a s'mores kit!), & even a lil rinky dink playground for you to explore. My only gripe is parking was tedious. It's a popular hangout, the spaces are skinny, & you may have to drive around the back loop to find anything close. I would suggest parking across the street then walking over to save yourself the headache. Great atmosphere and place to hang out outdoors. We decided to go on a Friday night to get out the house with our daughter and there was plenty of chairs and places to sits, despite the crowd. The pizza was delicious and are buzz ball drink creations were amazing. They topped the night off by playing the Spider-Man movie on the projector. There's games, fire pit and the day I went there was a pop up market. Also got a cookie butter cappuccino from one of the pop up vendors and it was so good. The acre recently opened up to the public for weekday/weekend events and get togethers. I have always wondered what this cute little area would look like and I was amazed at how beautifully it was all set up. 1) The pizza and the boozy cups were absolutely great! I didnt know what to expect besides some basic dish and weak drink but boy I was wrong. 2)Parking is a complete down fall though. For such a small area its impossible to find a parking spot. 3) It can get crowded although there is alot of room to roam about. This is a great place to hang out for sure though. I would love to go back and see the new additions they have. I hope they will be able to have more small business vendors as I feel itll be a great addition. read more

For starters, the parking situation is AWFUL here!!! It's all grass and gravel parking, so there aren't actual spots. People were parked everywhere!! Some people even double parked which made it very hard to maneuver. There is additional parking in the back but that is just as bad!!! I first checked their website to make sure it was open and they were not hosting any closed events. Parking is free and entrance is free. The place itself is really cool. There's so many different areas to hang out. Lots of games to partake in. Some food but not a lot. A bar area and lots of bottles of wine to choose from in the market area. Dog friendly, family friendly, photo op friendly lol. The overall vibes were great! We went on Sunday and they set up the fire pit for s'mores and they also put up the movie screen but played no movies (?) it was weird. The other downfall is the place closed at 8. Sun goes down right now at 6, so it felt like they closed super early. It would have been nice to continue hanging out. Also when we went, there was only one bathroom/stall open for everyone to use so the bathroom line was super long the entire time. Due to parking and the early closing, I give this place a 4/5 star. Wow !! What an amazing place, great for the family or a date. The proprietor of this spot did an amazing job making you feel as if you're in the middle of a farm or large wooded lot. Meanwhile , you're right off of Edgewater drive in Orlando. They have a little bit of everything . Kid friendly and Dog friendly . From tequila trucks to espresso martinis in the 'little coffee'. We had to scramble to find a new location and update all of our guests, vendors, parties involved. Started to rain as Florida does so we got a table inside had a couple drinks & played jenga. While sitting we noticed Patty doing everything she could to keep everyone dry. Terrible experience!! I booked The Acre as a wedding venue and below are the problems I encountered. 1) When booking the property they had added all new grass. On the day of my wedding 90% of the grass was completely dead and 1/2 of the lawn was roped off so people did not walk on it because they had a sewage issue that was causing water to pool on the grass making it muddy. 2) Half way through the planning process their event coordinator who was very knowledgeable of the property stopped working there and they hired someone who was very unfamiliar with what you could/couldn't do on the property in regards to size of tent, placement of tent, time to access the property, etc. 3) I was told I could access the bridal suite starting at 8:30am. About 2 weeks before the wedding they told me I couldn't access it till 1:30pm even though we paid for the full day package of the property. The only other alternative was to "rent" their "Brick House" for the day across the street. This house was literally the owner of The Acres home. When I asked the property manager if we need to take everything out at 1:30pm he said "yes because the owner will want to get back in ASAP." Meaning he had just walked out moments before we arrived! The place was dirty, dark and smelled of smoke making it a horrible place for a wedding party to relax and get their hair/makeup done. For how much this venue cost I would NEVER suggest getting married here as their contract basically says they can change the property however they would like during your agreement period and you will get what you get. i.e. the completely dead grass with access to only half the lawn. Don't let the pretty greenery and string lights fool you into thinking this is a good place to have an event. There are countless hiccups to be had. read more

What an absolutely gorgeous location! If you are looking for an outdoor space for an event, this should definitely be on your list to look at! It's nicely located on a green and lush plot of land with a parking lot just outside their own gate. It's closed in and once you're on the property it feels very intimate and private. There are several buildings around for various set ups; including, photo booths, catering, bathrooms, ready rooms for bride / groom if needed, live music / band, etc. there are lots of picture locations on site too, so you can take snaps for memories to keep for years to come. The staff was excellent and kept everyone happy throughout the event. Although it was hot out when we went, it was still enjoyable and there was a/c in the larger building and bathrooms if you needed a break. Overall: A+ Gorgeous property with a ton of potential for just about any event type! read more

Let me start off by saying that The Acre is an INCREDIBLE venue with an INCREDIBLE owner who goes above and beyond for his brides. That being said, we originally had a contract with The Summerlin House (before it was taken over by The Neighborhood Rogue). We gave our $1000 deposit to the person we believed to be the owner/manager of the property only to find out she was illegally living at the property and had been told to vacate the property only a week prior. She kept seeing brides, taking their money and drawing up fake contracts. The new owner was so gracious and honored our contract and saved our date. Unfortunately, it just didn't work out because we knew we were going to have a VERY DIY wedding due to our budget. We began our search for a new venue and that is when a friend suggested The Acre. We were IN LOVE from the minute we stepped on the property. It was beautiful, it was unique... it was everything we wanted and more in a wedding venue. The venue is whimsical, a blank slate. It's perfect for anyone who has a vision and wants to execute it in their own manner. There is not an area on the property that isn't visually stunning. The only reason I gave The Acre a 4 out of 5 is because of the professionalism and it has NOTHING to do with the property owner....he is INCREDIBLE. Everything that needed to be fixed was done almost immediately. The property manager on the other hand was inefficient, very unclear of the terms and prices and not such a pleasure to encounter. Not only was she this way with me but to several other brides who I know are getting married there. She gave every bride I know a different price and it really made me worry that our terms would change from day to day. She was not relatable whatsoever with her brides. Luckily, the property OWNER realized how uncomfortable we were with her and made sure we weren't dealing with her after a certain point. Had we not dealt with this woman at all, I would have given this place 5 out of 5 for everything. If you want your run of the mill wedding, book somewhere else. If you are looking for a unique, beautiful and dreamy wedding venue.... book here! read more

Parking was such a hassle, and I mean major hassle, that I did not even go into the venue. The lots are tiny and unlit, the public streets are one way with no one directing people, so you get trapped on these narrow one way streets. It sounds like a nice place to go, maybe someday if they fix the parking issues. read more

This lovely little venue was the recent site of a friend's wedding and we were all charmed by the outdoors setting. Blink and you'll miss the turn off on Edgewater, but make no mistake, you will be pleased when you arrive at your destination. Multiple buildings are available for brides to prepare, caterers to set up, and DJs to get ready to spin. If you are looking for a small party setting, The Acre is for you. Guests may have a hard time finding the venue and the outdoor bathroom may be off-putting for some, but I think this small setting will save you some pennies and allow for great memories of doing something different where you didn't know you could. Review #864. I have been here before, and I am surprised that I did not review this outdoor venue sooner. I know what you are all thinking, an outdoor venue in Florida. The heat. Let me tell you this place is a landscaped absolutely beautifully. So much so, that the trees and foliage create a microclimate in the area. There are plenty of white open spaces to hold your get together. Also a few Air conditioned buildings on the property also. One of them even resembles a very small chapel. There is another air-conditioned building that was barn, this is multi use building. There is also a shell of a home that is on the property. What I mean by that is the roof has been totally removed, and they left a lot of vines up and over the walls. This makes for some really cool pictures. So if you ever want to have a function at an outdoor venue, you may want to consider this. Or if you ever are invited to an event here feel free to check out my comments. If you do come here, please dress appropriately. By that I mean dress for outdoor Florida weather. read more

Oh my lord, I want to live here. Guys, this place is glorious. So rustic, romantic and electric all at the same time. I can't wait for everyone to uncover it just as I have. I found out about it from some local photographers and after seeing it with my own eyes, I can see why photographers love it so much; such an open, fun canvas! This is an acre (yes, nifty name) of property that is right off of Edgewater/Fairbanks and if you blink, you will think it's just someones land. Actually, if you stare you will also think it's just someones land but... trust me, enter, it's more than land, it's a magical venue that can make people come alive. There are so many cool things to describe, let's see if I can do it any justice with words. The entrance alone is cool, iron gate with a small walkway leading to the main "house" and everything is just lush with greenery. The main house has a utility kitchen for small prep including sinks and a location for warming food. There is a room above on the second floor in the house that is set for events and bride prep etc. It's really event friendly. Right outside of that main house is a small fishpond that really adds to the amazingness and natural, rustic feel of this place and of course, there is a fire pit right next to it with benches. Perfection. This walkway leads to another house that has built in audio and lighting and an adorable vintage bar. There are speakers on the outside too so if there is someone playing inside, you can hear it outside as well. Then you head to another house that is all open, various windows and doors, all white washed wood inside with hanging lanterns and a working fireplace. It was a literal photo defining Shabby chic - seriously would makes Rachel Ashwell's knees grow weak. There is also an outdoor stage that is about 2 feet off the ground and a pretty large platform, a really great spot for setting up a band, a wedding, a table setting, really a blank canvas like the entire place. They have an annual Localtopia fest with tons of live music, vendors and fun, it's coming this October, check it out. I could sit here and continue on trying to explain the electricity of this location but I would be wasting your time because you really have to experience it for yourself. This place is so special! Had my wedding there today! We did the 3 hour booking that includes the officiant and cake. The cake is to die for! Made by Sugar Buzz. ..Italian buttercream. Its a 9" round 3 layer cake. Kristen the event planner was a great help and very professional. Our wedding photographer Gian Carlo loves this venue as much as us! The small merry go round is awesome!! Plenty of parking. Great sound system that we plugged our lap top into for music. read more

The set-up allows more than ample space for comfort. There were so many people at this event that I attended earlier- I was impressed that people weren't tripping all over each other. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! My fiancée and I arranged to originally have our wedding here in February of 2021. Once COVID-19 hit we decided it was for the best to move back our date so that all out of town family members and friends could safety attend. Up until the point of moving our date we were speaking with and making arrangements with a coordinator named Kristen, but sometime in July received word that she no longer was employed at The Acre. We were then given the contact information of the manger, Shannon and told to relay all communication through her. This is when it started to go down hill. My first interaction with Shannon was sometime in August when we had a brief phone call and she informed me that she would have to "call me back within an hour"...three hours passed and I had still not heard word back. I eventually had to be the one to follow up via email and say that I figured we'd need to reschedule since she never got back to me. When responding to said email Shannon never apologized or acknowledged missing our call. This is a common theme throughout my experience here that has left me feeling disregarded as a whole. Once finally getting through to her on the phone, days later, I asked that she please *immediately* send over a list of available 2022 dates for us to reschedule but once again, that email never materialized and I had to follow up and ask for a second time (again, no acknowledgment or apology). Then came our contract, which we received later than promised and it had OVER $1000 worth of false charges AND our last names were misspelled. I tried to have the contract updated for weeks to no avail and no response....then two weeks later I am receiving various emails, at 9:00 and 10:00 at night, pressuring me to sign the contract within a matter of days (again, you guessed it, no acknowledgment or apology). To receive this level of inconsiderate service in relation to what is commonly regarded as the biggest day of one's life; the untimely responses, lack of acknowledgment or apologies, incorrect spelling of names, false charges and the hypocritical rush to have us sign and send me emails late at night, is beyond disrespectful. Eventually I had gotten to my wits end and decided to cancel, so I scheduled a phone call with Shannon and she blew me off at the last minute and passed me off to a brand new employee who wasn't even aware of half of what I was talking about. Now they're keeping our $3,000 and refusing to refund us any of it! I understand not getting back a security deposit but we atleast expected to be refunded the money we spent on small "upgrades" like nicer tables and chairs, etc. In addition to being disappointed about not receiving any money back, I sent an email to Shannon speaking on these very concerns and never heard back! Not an email or a phone call. Ultimately Im disappointed by the lack of communication and acknowledgment of where they slipped up. I understand these are hard times for everyone but a simple apology would have gone a LONG way! read more
