Such a cool food hall in Orlando! We met up with some friends and enjoyed the multicultural foodie possibilities! Grabbed a Jamaican beef patty. Got incredible Thai green curry. Enjoyed poke!! There's a big beautiful bar in the middle of the court to enjoy libations. Outdoor space for cornhole and pet friendly with dog bowls and big space. The free parking garage is conveniently located directly in front. Great Southern Box is the perfect one stop shop for a yummy night!

Recently came to Great Southern Box for lunch and loved all the food options. They have lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor) which is great for large groups. Happy hour is also a must -- margaritas start at $5! Can't beat that!

Such a fantastic venue space. Parking garage easily accessible across the street, gentle ramp from the road into the front lawn for moving, turf and shaded patios, and delicious food options. This is turning into one of my favorite venues to take photos at as well.

Stumbled upon this food hall on a night where they were having an 80/90's throwback night and it was a great time! Different food options available but the wings at EightyTwenty were my favorite! They run specials and the prices are not bad at all, along with delicious wings and burgers. There's, of course, a bar right in the center and everyone was fast and attentive. Outside there's lawn games and activities to do while you wait for your food or just to hang out after you eat. Great place!

    Antica pizza just right.

Great pizza. Just as good as Altamonte Springs location. Southern box has a nice atmosphere on a Tuesday afternoon.

This is another great food hall added to the Orlando area. There's a ton of amazing restaurants: Thai, Italian, Caribbean, Japanese, Mexican, soul food, coffee and large bar in the middle and so much more! I want to keep coming back to continue to try their offerings. They are closed on mondays and there is a parking garage for easy access.

Went to the Hall for the first time for Antica pizza. I was wowed by the variety and the vibe. Lots of options beyond Antica. But let me tell you, Antica is it!! It is simply the best pizza thus Jersey boy has had in Florida. After one bite I was transported to my favorite Italian restaurant at home. Wow!!

Ok so super cool concept with a TON of really good food options. Food tbh is on the pricey side, but I feel like portions are adequate. I went here this past Friday and Saturday. Honestly my biggest pet peeve was the DJ on Saturday playing at 6pm and continuously raising the volume... it was a weird vibe. At 6pm it's too loud for anyone to talk inside. At all. I know they are testing the waters, but it's a no go for me. If the crowd you're searching for is under 30 with no kids then it shouldn't cater to the lack of outdoor seats for families ... With that said the bar is cool, cocktails around $12. I ordered a tikka masala from the Indian/napal restaurant and it was good. The meat seemed like it was from a chicken thigh.. not really cubed but decent flavor and the samosas were good. Tbh there aren't many kid friendly places. There's pizza and one other restaurant which was sold out of everything by 7 and we got fries ... I think they need a clear view of their target audience because I think it's all over the place. Also, why isn't there an ice cream place....

I came here for the first time this past weekend for a day party and loved it! There are so many options for food and a large bar in the middle. I tried some sushi and a shawarma from two of the spots, and was blown away by how tasty both items were. The event was great, but having only one bar with a full room of party people made wait times longer than expected, but the bartenders were graceful and handled us well. The parking garage was full when we arrived, so keep that in mind on busy days.

There are a couple of things I really love about Great Southern Box. First of all, there is a large complimentary parking garage right next door. There is also lots of seating both inside and outside. Plus there is a huge variety of vendors (11 vendors and a cocktail bar). I was happy to see that most of the vendors offer up a different selection of food, there was some small overlap, but I am glad the food hall has lots of different options. Everything we tried was delicious! Our personal favorites were the Birria Egg Rolls from Fuiyo Mexican and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich from Eighty Twenty. My main complaint is that most of the dishes are very pricy. However, the meals all tasted good and fresh, but don't come here expecting a cheap meal. We also had issues with the text system while we were there. You give the vendor your phone number and they text you when it is ready but we only got one text and we tried four different booths, but it sounds like there was some sort of issue going on. Hopefully that is resolved quickly though! I will definitely be back and I think this is a great place to meet friends and hang out. Be prepared for more expensive options, but we loved the vibe and atmosphere and all the options!

This is a great venue for a day date or evening out with your special person, friends or family. There are about 10-12 food options to choose from and a full service bar in the middle of the building. Choices range from pizza to Cuban , sushi and Caribbean , burgers and birria Mexican ! The indoor decor is modern and chic and there is tons of bar stools and tables inside to sit down . Outdoors there are several areas with chairs and tables and covered areas in case of rain. This place is a 10 for me. One of my favorite hangout spots!

Had such a fun and tasty experience here! I made my own sushi bowl with fried shrimp. I loved that you can pick your own sauces, protein, toppings, and base. Everything was super fresh and flavorful, and the price was really reasonable for the portion size. They also had Musical Disney Bingo going on while I was there, which added such a fun and lively vibe to the place. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They really made the whole experience even better. Can't wait to come back and try something new!

I recently went to Great Southern Box. They're a handful of food places to try and from every background. You order at the counter and you get a text to pickup when it's ready. It's convenient and easy! I ordered empanadas from Alo Cubano kitchen as an appetizer and they were really good. My main dish came from Kayos Jamaican Grill, it was good and I like the option of a bowl in a to go container. I did not eat it all in one sitting and it was good as leftovers later. I will be back to try other food options. The environment was nice and welcoming for the whole family, I'd recommend. Plus complimentary garage parking is free.

It may seem like an odd sight in the middle of the park, but in fact it used to exist in a line of historic homes that were taken down for the park expansion. Now it sits alone, right off of the walking path surrounding the Lake. The home is lovely and features a sunroom, living room, parlor, outdoor terrace, upstairs area with a balcony, bridal changing room, and more. Recently I went for a lunch meeting in their upstairs space, the Summerlin Room ($75/hr rental with a 2 hr min). It was a lovely spot and fit our group of fifteen perfectly. I'll admit that I had been to the house once before to help with another event and the room wasn't set to the specifications agreed upon so we had to move and reset the chairs and tables right before the meeting. I remember the event organizer was quite annoyed... Hopefully it was a fluke! Side note- There is no elevator and the stairs are quite narrow. This is worth mentioning in case your event includes someone with mobility issues or who uses a wheelchair. As I was heading out I stopped in a room by the front and appreciated the array of pamphlets set up- ranging from history of the house to an Orlando biking map. There were also tourist pamphlets with the typical attractions (presumably for out of town guests of weddings of meetings). Overall, this is a beautiful meeting/event space that is priced reasonably and located in the heart of the city.

Now, diving in, I've only had food from Red Panda Noodle - which I initially discovered during Tasty Tuesdays in the Milk District. My first time having them, I fell immediately in love with their beef noodle option: Beef & Broccoli. It is flavorful and filling! The price points are standard (roughly $17.00 for the Beef & Broccoli). All other dishes are reasonably priced. As for A La Cart City as a place, it's centrally located off Orange Ave. There is PAID parking all around - sadly, unless you use the DTO promo code for a free two hours of parking, you will have to pay to park just about anywhere in Downtown Orlando. Parking is ample, but it can get pricey depending on when / where you park. There is ample seating downstairs and upstairs. It is service animal-friendly. They have a large screen for viewing sports or displaying any video (if you reserve the space for an event). The staff is kind, attentive, and helpful. They have a decent (not super large, but decent nonetheless) beer and wine selection. Price points are comparable to the other A La Cart locations. The overall location is great in the sense that it's a great spot to start a "bar-hop" vibe and make your way down into the thick of DTO. All in all, I am a fan of all three A La Cart lcoations. Also, did I mention, it is a great little spot for events! So, definitely visit them if you have not already.

It is now." -- The words painted on the stairs leading to this magical place. How can I not be a fan of The Space? This DIY venue, with no signage, located above Anthony's Pizza in Mills 50 is just so crazy that it makes me want more. They host a bunch of odd/quirky/artistic events including Literocalypse (a monthly reading series featuring local writers), figure drawing art sessions, crazy dance parties (ex: SPACE-FEST), nude yoga, zine-release parties, musicians from all around, etc. Park behind Anthony's and walk up the stairs to find fantastically decorated hallways (sheets, sheets, and more sheets!) in what I imagine used to be a regular apartment. I went for Literocalypse one night and found myself wandering the apartment between readings. It seemed like people lived there- the kitchen looked like I had stocked it in my early college days and there were some homemade brownies sitting there, tempting anyone brave enough to take one. Their website, though minimal, hints to the goals of this place with a simple message at the top: "culture. expression. collaboration. education. inspiration. community. progress." It seems you can rent the space for events or to live there- "rental rates are flexible and donation based." I dig that they have a calendar of events that seems to be kept up to date. Unfortunately, I've heard that they've recently been throwing shows and events to raise money to save The Space and I hear that the actual physical space is for sale, but hopefully with the support of the arts community it will remain in its current iteration or another. In the end, Orlando is better for having these types of unique, non-judgemental venues for young artists to explore themselves and for us less artistic folks to enjoy something very real and untainted. And yes, I hear the dance parties are pretty freaking nuts (and hot, with only window AC units).

And as to be expected, the event was amazing. Drinks were good - averagely priced. We also got a welcome shot and a glass of champagne to toast with to bring in the new year! Staff were super friendly and very attentive. I believe the control of the guest capacity aided in that as well because the staff were not overwhelmed and had the ability to attend to all guests in a timely manner. The music (DJ invited to curate the tunes for that evening) was great! Vibes were perfect and again, I put emphasis on the fact that this event was private so we were not crammed into this space. The Oliv Bar is on the quainter side of local bars but it's truly a nice venue. It has tree in the center - which adds a unique twits to the space. The bay windows add another level of uniqueness to the space as well but, pose a capacity challenge since the space is circular in nature. And circular spaces tend to foster areas of non-usable space. Beyond that, it's a unique design experience that isn't necessarily seen in most places. So, I appreciate that as an architectural designer. All in all, I'll definitely recommend this local bar. It's worth going on a regular night as well, as they aren't super packed and you can experience the vibes of the space without being overwhelmed with larger crowds - like you'll see more in the bars in downtown. Great event. Great space. Cannot wait to see what this year brings us all!!
