It's crazy how one injector can ruin the whole experience and almost your face. I forgot her name because I haven't been assigned her for filler before but I showed her a photo of a beautiful influencer I loved her face shape and it was slim feminine with a nice defined side jaw line. My face shape is not far from this influencers face shape just wanted it more defined and emphasized slim and feminine. This injector did it so poorly that it made my jawline more masculine and poorly distributed that it's lumpy! It's one thing to be a good injector and look out for the best interest of your clients to say realistically if it's obtainable through filler or make the right suggestion but she clearly didn't and proceeded to do something she probably hasn't done before and ruining a clients face. It's been 2 weeks and I was thinking it must just be the swelling that has it looking lumpy and chipmunky but it's definitely not I can feel how uneven the filler is and even my friends who saw me said they thought I just gained weight and my face isn't as slim as before and very uneven! I spend $1600 this was not the result I was expecting and it made my face worse than it was before. I'll be booking an appointment to get this dissolved asap and finding out the name of that injector to include in this review but she was an older lady with blond hair BEWARE!

I've now been two or three times under the new ownership. Sadly, the previous staff is gone -- who can blame them given the rocky transition. I had one or two favourite therapists and I miss them. The staff size has also been reduced so there is way less availability during the day. The massage therapist I've been seeing is good, but overall I feel the facility is losing ground. The place used to be immaculate and really felt like a spa like experience. I was in there last week, and spa shoes were dirty (they aren't cleaning them between clients - something I've noticed during previous visits), the floor has traces of salt and snow on it whereas it used to always be pristine, the decor is not as sleek as before -- there's a white leather couch that looks kind of tacky and holiday decorations that look the same. I always loved that they sent you away with a cup of hot tea. The tea is still there. I wasn't offered one during my last visit, but the time before was offered one -- so overall it's an inconsistent practice and I feel too silly to ask when not offered. I probably won't be returning once I use up my massage series, unless these new folks up their game soon.

The changeroom was very clean, warm, and the sauna is a nice touch. I loved the smell of the products that were used on my face, and that's rare cuz I hate most scented stuff. I came out of there feeling refreshed and looking at least 5 years younger! I contacted the clinic after my appointment about the issues and was advised someone would call me in 24 hours and never did? After this Yelp review (which was 3+ months ago), the same day a copy of this review was sent to SkinScience to rectify and respond too and didn't? If SkinScience wanted to rectify this in a timely matter, they had plenty of opportunities to do so the last few months. If reviews "were/are so important" to SkinScience why wouldn't I be contacted till now? SkinScience does have my phone number, mailing address and email address. So, called a few times afterward to book the rest of the IPL as we were going to do another spot treatment to equal the one session and then use the second one for other spot treatments instead of full facial. She was certainly happy to take my money but not to return my calls to book me in again. Not impressed with the low level of service, the cost of the Groupon and extra dermavradion and not getting the full service plus the lack of professionalism in returning calls and providing a client with what they paid for. Fast forward to the day of my PDO threadlift procedure, everything was good until I realized that there was not much of a difference. I asked him if he could do more threads (as we were allowed to do so). He ended up hitting a vessel and made my face SWOLE AND BRUISE for a good couple of weeks. He PROMISED me that he would top up the rest of my face in a month since we couldn't finish that day because of the swelling. During the virtual follow up, he told me again that we will do a top up and his exact words were "Don't worry.. I will not charge you more than $250 for this. Top ups are very cheap". He even added a "I will give you botox on your eyebrow as a complimentary". A week later, I tried emailing him to set up a date for my follow up procedure.. No response. I emailed him again and he told me "I will be back in Calgary this week or next week" (date was June 22). I then emailed back saying I was going to Toronto and he replied asking when. I told him I was leaving on July 6. He responded saying "I won't be back to Calgary until July 10". This confused because he told me he would be back before that. So, this immediately made me believe that he was trying to avoid me. I became angry but was desperate on getting that follow up as half of my face is now BIGGER than the other cheek and looks abnormal. I CHANGED my flight to Toronto just so I could see him and get my face fixed. He then told me that the cost for the top up was $500 ON EACH CHEEK!!! This made be become more furious as I already spent almost $4000 on the first treatment. And mind you, he told me that his only availability is JULY 10th. He is a liar, scammer, incompetent at what he does, and unprofessional. He has now cancelled my appointment because my attitude was "unacceptable". I have every right to be angry. I have no problem posting our emails and also showing our recorded virtual meet up when he said "i will only charge you no more than $250 for this" UNBELIEVABLE
