please do not go here. my child in the first month had a bruised eye with a cut as if someone punched her and dug their fingers into her eye. I was so upset this happened and they ou let me knoe at the end of the day. the bcba accidentally added me to an email that she asked the boss (owner wife) what she should say to me before I saw my child's injury. you would have thought they would have reached out to apologize or address my concern. they didn't even respond or care. .my bill was always in the thousands, double billed etc. I was even advised by the owner to get the insurance he likes with a insurancr broker he knows after paying him a fee of 85.00. the professional thing would have been to just tell me the name of the anthem plan so I can buy it for free under the marketplace but no you pay him a referral fee to help you get a plan he likes that they can charge unlimited aba of which your child may not need. they always request more hours than needed as the charge nearly 1600 a DAY. there is no education they are doing that is special. he will even dissuade you from putting your cild in school so he can make over 150k a year from your insurance. he is a sales man and couldn't care less about the progress of your child. get your child in home aba. they generalize it better as being in a center is slower progress if ANY. then put them in prek. my child is not only talking at nearly age level but also potty trained in less than 3months of leaving that place. watch your tab!!! they will bill EVERYTHING. they wanted me to pay 15 for a bookbag the said broke a clear cheap bookbag..when I asked how does a bookbag break and and refused they were upset. For 1:1 care my child being injured was terrible. her eye was red. I can post a picture. also SPEECH was a joke.. they were playing YouTube through ever session i attended and had the nervr to bill 245 for a session for 30 minutes. typical places charge 90. OT was 350 a session! this place bilks money. m read more

If I could give it a 0 rate I would. My son never got seen here... we never got to that part even after 2 months... I provided every paper work needed and I contacted them every so often to check on my status in hopes to have my son with an ongoing schedule, but nothing! There was always some kind of excuse for my files to not be looked at by the billing department. Mind you, my insurance covered it all and I did everything right on my part. It was a serious headache. From getting all of the paper work the owner was asking for to the communication of him. I had to look somewhere else and I'm so glad I did because the following week, I received services. Until this day, many many weeks later, the owner hasn't reached out to me. How pathetic of a place. read more

We had a super bad experience. They just try to cram services down your throat that the child does not need. Our child needed an evaluation for a specific type of speech. We verified in advance that an AAC specialist was available to do the evaluation. All we ever got was a sales pitch for pt, ot and traditional speech. Go elsewhere. read more

I have been a BCBA at Therapyland's Alpharetta location for almost a year and a half. I have been in and around the field of ABA for going on 10 years and I have never been so happy with a clinic, a work environment, a work life balance, leadership, or the progress the kiddos make as I have at Therapyland. Therapyland takes pride in training their therapists, ensuring quality supervision for therapists, clients, and BCBA candidates. Leadership truly has an open door policy and I have never felt so heard and supported as an employee. The progress I have seen children make while growing and learning at Therapyland is unmatched. I know this can be attributed to the fact that the Therapyland team values training, supervision, the families wants and needs, and sees each child as an individual. The leaders of the ABA department truly have a passion for their work and are motivated and devoted to staying up to date with research and implementing only the most evidence based practices. One of my favorite parts of working at Therapyland is that I have never gone home a single day without learning something new. I'm super proud to be a part of Therapyland and extremely fortunate to be a part of such an awesome team! read more

Unhappy therapists, tyrannical management, questionable billing rates (by far the highest I've ever seen), high staff turnover, unforgiving scheduling (WHEN (and I really mean when, not if) your therapist leaves, you won't get the same time slot and they'll sometimes even tell you "sorry, we're booked" instead of, idk, HIRING PEOPLE AND/OR KEEPING THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE HAPPY). Anywhoooo, it's a generally miserable experience for all parties involved. It's very clear that the owners (a husband and wife) are in it for the cash money stacks and not for the betterment of children. read more

My son was denied access to ABA therapy here due to "behaviors." Isn't this a place FOR behaviors? Also, Irma, the front desk lady was less than professional when telling me that I filled the papers out "too fast" and that most parents take weeks to do it. DO NOT waste your time with these people. read more

My 6 yr old was diagnosed with ASD in March 2020. He started at Therapyland at the end of his 1st grade school year, May 2020 for ABA and OT. For his first 3 weeks at TL he showed small improvements with self-regulation and communication. After 6 weeks of being at TL, he started to regress. He became very defiant and he started mimicking the behavior of everyone around him. Most of his time was not spent with his ABA therapist or an Assistant ABA therapist. He was paired with different ABA technicians, so there was no consistency in the strategies/techniques used to aid him. There was no communication informing us when someone new was assigned to work with him. We decided to end services mid-August 2020 due to my son's regression and the slanderous, unethical behavior of the ABA staff members on my son's team. I waited two months to write this review because I wanted to make sure there were no billing "discrepancies" in retaliation to my comments. Which brings me to TL's billing practices. They are shotty, as we received duplicate statements for invoices already paid. If you choose to use TL's services, you will have to be vigilant to make sure your invoices match the dates of service, and once paid make sure that you are not billed more than once for services. read more

My nephew was recently diagnosed with being on the autism spectrum. We were clueless as to what to do. He needed therapy services; however, we didn't know where to begin, where to go, who was good, would we be able to afford it, etc. On the day of his diagnosis, his psychologist told me about Therapyland. Therapyland has only been open for just over a year. However, it's already one of the best facilities in GA from which anyone could ever hope to receive help. Therapyland is a 12,000 sq ft facility that offers pediatric developmental services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and applied behavioral analysis therapy. The owner, Thane, meets with every interested parent. He is very patient and because his daughter is also autistic, understands exactly what parents of diagnosed children are experiencing. He then takes you on a tour of the facility, which is nothing short of amazing! You MUST check out the sensory room! You'll wish you could have one in your home, guaranteed! Also, check out the parent lounge. It was created just for parents to have a quiet place to relax or get some work done! All of his staff members and therapists are extremely knowledgeable and personable. Irma, the administrative assistant, is very personable and a joy to communicate with. Angie, the billing manager, is patient, understanding, and a joy to work with (unlike many other medical billing offices I've encountered). Cheri, the COO and scheduler, works hard to accommodate scheduling needs of parents. My nephew's BCBA, Catherine J. is amazing and makes it her personal goal to see that the children under her care succeed. The hosts of therapists that my nephew and I have encountered (many of which share the same name haha) the Kellys, Courtneys, Markus, Summer, Clare, and even the ones I've only seen on occasion as they speak with other parents in the lobby, are all amazing as professionals and as individuals. In case you can't tell, I can't say ENOUGH amazing things about this facility. Therapyland offers a 1:1 ratio. Each child is assigned his/her very own therapist for the time that he/she is receiving services at Therapyland. My nephew (who is usually apprehensive around strangers and have major separation anxiety) quickly became acclimated to not only his own personal therapists but the other therapists that work closely around him. His therapists not only update me with what my nephew learned that day and any improvements shown, they also follow up with emailed (and very detailed) reports. There's also a system that parents can access for ABA therapy where the skills being taught are tracked via charts and graphs! I can't say enough wonderful things about Therapyland and it's staff. I love the carnival theme of the office. I go to Therapyland every day for my nephew and I get to see the same parents and children each day. Everyone has nothing but great things to say and the children love it! If your child has recently been diagnosed with autism or is otherwise in need of speech, occupational, physical, or ABA therapy, I implore you to check out Therapyland. Just call, speak to Thane, make an appointment to take the tour... you have nothing to lose and you WILL NOT regret it! Enrolling my nephew there was the best decision I could have made for my nephew. He deserves the best and Therapyland is it! As a final note, I recently met with a doctor at the Marcus Autism Center, even she was impressed with what Therapyland had to offer. Get in on this amazing facility while it's still up and coming. Love this place. My son was in the ABA program here and showed amazing progress. Both of my children now receive therapies here and I can honestly say all the therapists are great and extremely caring. Billing and scheduling is very organized and has always been able to accommodate our busy schedule when other clinics couldn't. I would definitely recommend ! read more

I have one child with ASD that comes here for OT, ST, PT, and ABA. The progress is phenomenal. Special shout out to kind and smart therapists we have worked with: Courtney, Clare, Vicky, Meredith, Summer M, Portia H, and Huimin. My other child has come here for Feeding therapy which was an incredible service for our family. Thanks to Carly for her sharp skills to identify my child's oral motor delay when other feeding therapists we had seen in the past didn't. Bringing my children here is the best decision we could have made. read more

Debbie at the front desk was so sweet on the phone when getting me set up and is always so friendly whenever we need help. We were paired with Jorri and she's incredible. When I say she saved me that's an understatement. I have postpartum anxiety and my baby struggling to eat was really triggering and Jorri was SO understanding and so helpful, literally answering my texts at all hours when I needed help outside of a session. Jorri brought in their in house craniosacral therapist who helped her confirm her suspected diagnosis of a posterior tongue tie. She and Stacy worked together and gave me the tools we needed to help my sweet girl eat comfortably. Jorri has continued to support me through all her stages and when she starts struggling to drink. Due to COVID I had a strong inclination that my sone would need speech therapy at two. When my son was referred for speech therapy, Building Bridges was my instant choice. Jorri is now working weekly with my son and he has come leaps and bounds. We have been with her a few months and I get comments from strangers on how great my son speaks! I could not be more proud or more grateful. I am hoping my daughter will pick up skills from my son as she learns to speak, but if she also needs speech therapy we will be headed right back to Building Bridges. If you are referred for therapy I highly recommend Building Bridges! I see how each of their therapist greet their patients and interact in the hall and they are all so sweet with the kids, while Jorri is my favorite I would trust any one of them with my babies.

They told me I was on the schedule, then put me on hold for over 10 minutes. Since I had a 30-minute drive, I eventually hung up and headed there. When I arrived, I was asked to wait another 10-15 minutes, only to be told that the audiologist, Dr. Kim, had suddenly left due to an "injury." No one had called me to cancel my appointment--despite the fact that I had just spoken with them! When I questioned this, one receptionist claimed she called my cell (a lie, she did not--I showed her my phone), and another said they called my home number. I asked, in this day and age, why would you rely on a home number and not call both, especially for something this significant?!!! This appointment required planning my entire day, including arranging for a driver due to the nature of the test and how it would make me dizzy. Their lack of communication and accountability was incredibly frustrating! To make matters worse, the response I received was a nonchalant apology and a $5 gas gift card, which is a complete joke since gas is like $4.00/gallon now! I am a current RBT at Therapyland and have been with the company since April. I have been a RBT for 17 months. I have a family member who has autism which has inspired me to get into this field. I have worked at 3 places in the past 4 years starting off as a ABA therapist then getting my RBT. This by far is the largest company I have worked for and especially one that has some many employees and kids. I have been very impressed with the structure of the company. All of the previous companies were unorganized. This company is by far the opposite of this. I have always thought I was a good therapist but once I learned how things were setup at Therapyland I realized I had a lot more growing to do. My BCBA's that I work with are all wonderful. They all support me and help me grow. I was getting caught up in a small group of therapist that are not happy people and they would always bring in outside personal issues and try and stir up the pot. My director and the VP of the company met with me and explained that I had a lot of potential and it was up to me to decide if I wanted this to be a job or a career. I chose a career. They put a performance review in place and helped me work through it. They could have ended my time at the company but instead they supported me. I am very happy with the company the managers the kids that I treat and the owners for creating such a special place. read more

I worked at Therapyland for almost 4 years. I just recently left the company because my family is moving out of state. I was a RBT and I loved the working environment. It was a very fast paced work life. I knew this going in. When you are dealing with special needs kiddos you should expect this. The facility has lots of different theme rooms and this makes it fun for the children and the staff. You work with a lot of different therapist and you get support from Occupational speech and Physical therapist. My BCBA were always there to help me and support me when needed. I would average 3 hours a week of supervision or more. My Clinic director and behavioral directors were always in the same location and always their for the entire team. I really respect the owners I have never seen 2 individuals more dedicated to the kids and to the employees. and they do this with being special needs parents. I will miss my family. Anyone reading this I would encourage you to join this company. I have seen ABA therapist come and go and thinking it is greener on the other side and I still am in contact with most of them and they mostly agree with me that they should not have left. read more

Grateful for Therapyland! We are just starting so it's hard to give a full review on services but I will update later. But so far the pace at which they work to get your child services is incredible (Gwinnett Location just opening ). I've never worked with a more efficient and effective team of therapists in my life! Everyone at the front desk, the therapists and Thane the owner all have a smile on their faces and are ready to help my son receive an excellent experience, every time I have encountered them. I'm really hoping it works out because we have had some horrible experiences in the past. So far I am very pleased with Therapyland and their enthusiasm and excellent of care and service so far ! We have been taking our son to Therapyland for nearly a year. We found out he has autism. My wife and I did not know what to do. We were refereed to Therapyland by many sources our doctors and parents and everyone said this place was the best. I met the owner and he spent nearly 2 hours walking us through everything. No selling and very compassionate to us and our needs. We worked with the billing department and were able to get our services covered. Our son is doing things now that we never thought he could or would be able to do. I love this place the therapist love our son and it shows. I wish I could give more stars to this place. I have two kiddos 3 and 7 and both come to Therapyland in Lawrenceville Georgia. I started my first child at Therapyland 2 years ago in the Alpharetta location and then moved closer to Lawrenceville last year. My kids come for a combination of OT, ABA, Feeding and Speech. I have to start out and say how impressed I am with this company. I have seen such growth in both of my children and I feel everyone of our kids therapist cares about what they are doing and the level of therapy is second to none. I have a daughter ADHD and ASD that started going to Therapyland last August. We go for ABA Occupational and Speech therapy. My daughter is 4 and she is in the ABA program all day. She gets the other services throughout the week. I love the communication between all the therapist and our BCBA is incredible. I feel like she is involved in every aspect of my daughters care. She is the best and she really gives us great support especially on the days that parents like me have being a parent of a special needs child. My son has been going to Therapyland in Lawrenceville, GA for 9 months. We moved here from Texas last year and were doing ABA, speech and occupational therapy. We were happy to find Therapyland because they offer all services in one place. The progress we have seen has been fantastic. We have had 2 separate BCBA's and both have helped us see improvement. I have been impressed with everyone at Therapyland. My mother came in last weekend to visit us and have not see our son in nearly 6 months. She was floored with how much he has improved. We are so happy with Therapyland. I am writing the review on behalf of my mother and father. I have a little brother that goes to Therapyland for applied behavioral analysis (ABA), OT, PT and ST. He has been going their for 2 years. Our entire family has seen such growth in his communication and his overall behaviors. My mother has been able to take him out to more events as much as the current times allow. My mothers fiends have all noticed a big difference and he is starting to blossom. My son was diagnosed with autism a couple of years ago. We moved to Georgia and needed to find help. Our pediatrician gave us a recommendation to call Therapyland. We did some research and realized they had great reviews and offer multiple services in one place. We spoke to Sarah at the front desk and she was so helpful. We have been coming to Therapyland for ABA, OT, ST and we are working on getting a device to help my son speak. My wife and really my whole family has seen improvements. I have two kids one has ASD and one most likely does and we are waiting on test results. Both children go to Therapyland. My son who has ASD is in the ABA program for 40 hours a week. He also gets OT, PT, ST. We have been in the program for over a year and have seen great progress. My family loves that everything is under one roof. All of his therapist are so nice and really care about his success. My other 2 year old goes for speech, physical therapy and occupational therapy and most likely will be going for ABA. I have a daughter that that comes to Therapyland for PT, ST, OT and ABA. We have been in the program for more then a year. We love this place and we love the therapist. My parents were in for a birthday party this weekend and it reminded me to write this review. My parents have not see my daughter in 8 months and the first thing they both said is how much she is improving. Her behaviors are so much better and she can do so many things she was unable to do before. For My parents to notice that is a big deal. Thank you for all you do for our children. read more

My granddaughter attends Therapyland and she has for a couple of years. I never understood what it takes to have a child let a lone a grand child with special needs. I have learned a lot about all of the different kinds of therapy. We come for ABA, occupational and speech therapy. We use to come for Physical and graduated out. The entire staff of therapist, managers and the billing department are all wonderful and are always here to help. We have see a lot of really nice improvements with our granddaughter. T. Therapyland is by far the most professional therapy center I have ever seen. I have a 13 year old boy and he gets OT,PT and ST and has for the past 9 years. We moved to Atlanta from up North and I have been blown away with his progress. All of the therapist are nice, always happy and love my son. The woman at the front desk always helps me with anything I need and the management always emails me back in a timely manor. This company is the real deal. My daughter started at Therapyland 2 years ago in Alpharetta and moved to the Lawrenceville location a year ago. We have since received a autism diagnosis and have added ABA to her ST and OT services. Things have been going great and my husband and I are so proud of her and everything she has been able to accomplish. We could not have done this without all of her therapist at Therapyland. Former Employee - ABA Therapist "I worked at Therapyland full-time (Less than a year) Pros Great with kids, excellent service provided to children, amazing therapists. Cons Small business, constantly changing rules, management friends with owner, your stability with the company depends on if a manager likes you, favoritism shown, only people that have been fired were minorities, no real HR department, no lunch breaks. I have taken my child to Therapyland for 2 years. He comes for ABA, OT and ST. Therapyland has been one of the best choices I have made for my child. He has made such improvement. I recently took my son to his grandparents home and they had not seen him in 6 months. They were in shock on how much he has improved. Therapyland entire team is Amazing. My son comes to Therapyland for ABA, OT, ST and Feeding. He graduated out of PT. The skills he has mastered in the last year are crazy good. Therapyland has been simply fantastic for our son. Not only his skills have improved significantly, but we also have a tremendous support and caring from all the staff. Everything that glitters isn't gold. There were a myriad of issues. They don't care about the children. They only want the money. It wasn't safe for child. read more
