Once you get through the language barrier of making the appointment, I have to say it was the best 30 minute back massage I've ever gotten. In terms of the language barrier, when I was asking if I could come in right away, it felt like I didn't get a confirmation and the conversation was ended with a dead dial tone. When I called back again she did confirm that it was okay to walk in. When I got there two ladies popped out and they were nice and welcoming. You pay up front before the massage. $2 extra for credit card. Then in the massage room, the first 10 minutes is a slow build up. I felt like with the language barrier I needed to speak up more of what I preferred. So I had to mention I had a bad kink on my lower right back that I'd like her to work on. Then I had to ask for a little harder massage. She asked if I wante oil and I said yes. Then after a slower first 10 minute start I asked for more emphasis on my lower right kink on my back again. She asked if there was pain. I said yes. Then she started the magic work of bringing the hot stones as a free addition. I've never had a masseuse use all six hot stones to build up to sooth the pain on my pack before. She started with 2 then added 2 more then another 2. She lined all 6 stones in 3 rows of 2 along my spine and used the heat to sort out the kink on my lower right back. Her massage got deeper and more intense as she navigated all around my back. There was light focus on the leg and arms and no front massage in the 30 minutes but it was the perfect bit of massage I needed to feel better about my back.

She said that Thai style is a very deep tissue type of massage. No kidding! I'm a medic and I got injured at work moving patients about 6 months ago. I've been on workers comp since then. I've been under the care of doctors since and I've seen physical therapists, gotten Lint treatments done, acupressure, and taken plenty of meds. Nothing has work like this massage. To be honest it was a bit on the painful side. She really worked it in. But it's the type of pain that also feels good at the same time. It's hard to explain. None the less, my lower back pain is almost gone. Like we say in the medical field, from a scale of one to ten, my pain went from a 6 down to a 1. My upper back, where I get deep tissue muscle spams, when from also a 6 or 7 to a 2. I'm not BSing you, I'm dead serious. That was yesterday and today I still feel just as good. I think that I've seen cheaper elsewhere. But don't quote me on that, I'm new at getting massages. I don't mind paying 50 bucks again. If the 90 minutes was cheaper, like 70 bucks, I would rather get that one. All I can say is that I I can't wait to go see Lina again. I think that another two or three of those massages and I'll be ready to go back to work. I assume and hope! It's amazing how a bunch of dumb nuts (doctors) with all their medical training could do what Lina did in one hour. But it shouldn't surprise me. I'm a medic and I see the bull that doctors do, say, and give to their patients all the time. There's something very wrong with our health care system that needs to be fixed right away. I will dare to point my fingers to the pharmaceutical companies and their huge "donations" to medical schools. Like a doctor admired to me one "medical school does not teach you to cure anything. They train you to diagnose the condition, give meds, and if the meds cure the condition great! If not, then keep giving them meds." Sad but true! Please understand that this was my own personal experience with Thai massage and my injury. It seems to have worked for me and I'm not saying that it will work in every case or condition.

Making an appointment was very easy as I called the facility to tell them what I wanted & about my groupon, told them the date & time I was looking at, then received confirmation that my appointment was set up! A whole week before & we were excited to find out what this was all about. The place itself is not that small but not very spacious. We arrived promptly and were asked to wait a few minutes for them to finish with the clients before us. While waiting, we were shown the different scrubs and asked to choose 1; I decided on rejuvenate. Once ready, they asked us to undress, put on the robes & shower shoes, then head over to their "scrub room." It was located next to the facility's laundry station. The actual room itself is a shower room, but felt nothing different like a shower at the gym. That sort of icky musty feeling. My friend & I sat side by side while each lady scrubbed us down from neck down to our feet (they don't go into any private areas) After rinsing off the scrub, we were brought to our massage room for the quickest 10 minutes. Apparently the 60 minutes INCLUDED the time it would take us to rinse, change, what have you.. that we were not aware of! Sigh, maybe it was a good thing as my friend was very sensitive to any pressure her lady applied to her neck & back. Mine was decent, but like I said 10 minutes isn't enough to even relax. Why are there separate numbers for this business on the website and on Google maps? There are too many inconsistencies to list out here in this review, but please take my word for it. Why is the open sign on but there is consistently misinformation online about when they're open? I think the Better Business Bureau needs to investigate this further.
