This place was a great little find, I was lost in the neighborhood looking for another restaurant and first off the smell hit me it was fantastic and I noticed an open sign so I decided to go for it. first thing I noticed was that my wife and I were the only people in there and everyone in there kind of seemed shocked to see anyone in there, so I was thinking great another flop but were here so why not. we got seated and the waiter (whom later we found out was Theo) told us that they haven't even got invitations out for their soft opening and they weren't really expecting anyone to actually come in, but he was an excellent and informative waiter.
He sold us on some drinks with watermelon rum and something else which was amazing, then I tried the vegan burger (wasn't really a burger) it came on a bed of rice and greens and drizzled with what can only be described as awesomeness. my wife had the curry tofu which was also excellent. The presentation of the food was good and the building was quite nice and the staff was very friendly.
After drinks, two entrees and desert we were expecting this to come out to $80 at least given our previous experiences dining out on St. Thomas. and I would have gladly payed that. but it came out to around $50 I was floored I've had lunch with two sandwiches and two beers come out to $45 on this island and to have a proper dinner come out to $50.
This place is a must try, and yes they have stuff for people who eat meat as well, as I was re-reading this it looked like it might have been a veg restaurant. read more
