Dr. Henderson saved my life from  ME/CFS via Long Covid while all the other doctors were wrong (and there were a lot of them...).  For a follow-up to that, even though he is not a gastroenterologist, he figured out my lymphocytic colitis. (The gastro doctors figured out that I had it but not why.). Dr. Henderson figured out why (Bartonella, I had a low-grade bacterial infection from an insect bite years previous, and that had plagued me for years with the colitis. Then treated and cured that too.  A great experience with the team for my follow-up light therapy treatments also. read more

I first found Dr Henderson when my daughter was in junior high in the in the early 2000's. She had Spinal Meningitis when she was 4. She was a basket case. She didn't understand why she felt the they way she did. She really liked Dr Henderson things seemed to be going better, than she got to old for his practice (Dr Henderson was seeing only children) and my insurance wouldn't cover his fee's. She did well until she turned 30 and things started to changIng. She would say things like Mom my life has not been good, I've just been going through the motion. I can't do this anymore more. She would say the best that it ever was was with Dr Henderson. In 2017 she took her own life at 30 1 month and 1 day. Thank you, Dr Henderson for all your help and guidance. You were Wonderful with her. read more

Ted henderson is a pompous ass. He was unapologetically 15 minutes late for our appointment to start. Then, even though his office is full of expensive Native American artwork, his approach was confrontational with my son who is of indigenous ancestry. I suggested that this is not the best approach to use with certain cultures and he scoffed at me . My son walked out; I paid out--for nothing. This man is for people who like to pay $$$ to someone who is too paternalistic and condescending to listen to any view but his own. read more

I miss Dr. Henderson! Yelp has my 2015 review stored without stars. I recommended him then and I recommend him now! He is organized, caring and smart! My son was not depressed when he was under Dr. Henderson's care! He is suffering now. I wish he could see this doctor again. Don't fool yourself, he is strict, straight and to the point. However, he knows how to treat the mental illness and the side effects of drugs. He does not concentrate only on the mental illness. That is why my son was doing so well. Sorry to have to leave Dr. Henderson. read more

Our family has greatly benefited and thrived under the ministrations of Dr. Henderson for many years now. He's been a godsend in seeking the right treatments and medications for our son who has suffered significantly from ADHD and Bipolar Disorder since the age of four. His current success as a well-adjusted college student now is nothing short of miraculous. We've seen other special needs children suffer by not getting proper and/or quality medical attention, and they're much further behind. Also, our daughter suffered chronic fatigue during her high school years and could barely manage her symptoms of a disorder that has no cure. Dr. Henderson's research and therapeutic pioneering brought about a markedly suppressive therapy for her debilitating condition. As an adult wife and mother now, she leads a much better quality of life. Another family member who suffered long-term, medication-resistant depression underwent Ketamine infusion therapy with Dr. Henderson at his Neuro-Luminance clinic. She experienced immediate and lasting results after two procedures and is feeling better than she has in years. This family's advice to you is this: if you're truly serious about getting well, are in-tune with your symptoms & behaviors, and are able to articulate them to your psychiatrist, you will yield far better results and more directly impact your mental health success. Look no further. Call Dr. Henderson today. You'll be glad you did. read more

My experience with Dr. Theodore Henderson has been immensely life-changing!! He is a brilliant Psychiatrist who has taken the lead in providing treatment options that are not only traditional, but that are innovative, cutting-edge, and unconventional. He listens to my concerns, he asks me questions, he treats me with respect, he answers my questions, he has an uncanny intuition that I admire, he is accessible, he has called unannounced to see how I'm feeling following a procedure, and he collaborates with my other doctor. Initially, I remember feeling very frightened, cautious, and hesitant....but above all that, I was desperate for help. I'm so thankful that I chose to pursue treatment with Dr. Henderson. I trust that Dr. Henderson will not give up on me (or any of his patients) "Until there is no room for improvement." -Dr. Theodore Henderson read more

Dr. Henderson has been treating me for the past five years. He's direct and caring. I leave him a question on my update and he typically calls me back within a couple of hours at the most in a day. His expertise in a variety of areas has been invaluable to me. Not only is he the best psychiatrist I've seen he is also treating my chronic fatigue. Dr. Henderson inherited me from my retired doctor and not once has he let me down or abandoned me. He truly has turned my life around. He always listens. We do not always agree initially but we always discuss the situation and come to an agreement in the end. Thank you Dr. Henderson for being you and being my Doctor! read more

If you want to be pitied, cried over, and sick don't go to Dr Henderson, because he will make you well. I've been self paying for psychiatry for years before I met Dr Henderson, it seems all the really good ones are self pay. He is innovative and relentless in his pursuit of your good health. I have gone from being s shut in to being out of the house almost every day. If a new symptom arises, I am never told to deal with it as I have been in the past. I don't think his brain understands the concept of give up. I can understand why his other reviewers have given less stars. They wanted someone to indulge in their sickness and Dr Henderson's whole purpose is to make them well. This review is based upon 5 years of care. read more

We are still going strong with Dr. Henderson. Like I said before it has been a long journey from where we started to where we are today. My teens are 17 and 18+. Still Dr. Henderson strives to stay on top of any issues they experience. The medication treatment plan is working and the therapy is beneficial. Way to go Dr. Henderson! The problems are no more. Bipolar is not hanging out so people don't even see it. And the personality of the other teen is so controlled. He never has outbreaks and the previous breakdowns of anxiety have disappeared. We are pleased with the plan he created for our children. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a child psychiatrist who treats the whole person; not just the mental illness. read more

I'm very thankful that my family found Dr. Henderson. He approaches psychiatry as an art and a science. Frankly, it is the science part that drew us to Dr. Henderson because he looks at possibilities such as viruses, head injuries, and other factors when making a diagnosis. In the case of treatment-resistant depression, Dr. Henderson recognized that the underlying factor was untreated anxiety, something previous two psychiatrists didn't recognize even though we had seen them for several years each. Dr. Henderson is compassionate and very professional. (Trust me, we've spent a lot of time with various doctors of all kinds over the years.) read more

Dr Henderson is a fantastic psychiatrist. I've been suicidal for a decade now, having attempted suicide twice. After seeing at least 10 psychiatrists over the years with no meaningful progress, I found Doctor Henderson. He absolutely, absolutely saved me from a third suicide attempt; he literally saved my life. I couldn't recommend him more highly. read more

The only thing Dr. Henderson knows how to do is numb you with drugs. He told me the symptoms would go away after my body got used to the drugs, 7 months later I was still a zombie. For every side effect, he would prescribe a new medication to fix that side effect. He was dishonest with me in telling me Risperdal would make me gain 5 to 10 pounds and then nothing more. I gained 30 pounds in 2 months. I was worse off after seeing him than before I went. read more

After being diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome and I was profoundly afraid. I was afraid both because of the horrific dimensions of the disease, and the limited options for effective medical treatments. I had met with several doctors, many of whom seemed incapable of coming to a confirmed diagnosis nor offering effective treatment. After a exhaustive search I was very lucky to find Dr. Theodore Henderson MD, PhD, who was able to offer both an accurate diagnosis and a personally customized treatment plan. His work in understanding and treating my disease is completely unparalleled. He was able to use ketamine infusions to improve my moods, substantially moreso than any other pharmacological-model presently available. Additionally, he was able to offer an extremely successful experimental treatment of using antiviral medications that suppress the suspected viral cause of the disease. The combination success of the ketamine infusions and the antiviral medications, successfully suppressed the symptoms of my horrible disease, to a reasonable level; where the pain was then possible to manage and the crushing depressions were dramatically minimized. Dr. Henderson's masterful understanding of psychopharmacology is in a class of its own, and his ability to customize my treatment to suit the dimensions of my disease is unparalleled mastery of medicine. Where other physicians could only shrug and give up, Dr. Henderson quickly utilized all of his extensive diagnostic-resources to give an accurate diagnosis and viable treatment model, that restored the my quality of life, better than I thought was even possible. I often passionately recommend Dr. Henderson's practice to anyone I speak to that is living with CRPS. I would highly recommend the ketamine infusion treatment to anyone suffering from serious depression, as it is unquestionably the most effective possible pharmacological method available today. I believe that the antiviral treatment will likely become a front line treatment option for people who are suffering from complex regional pain syndrome, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, autism, and chronic fatigue syndrome. All of these mysterious diseases are suspected to be of viral origin. The only catch for the ailing patient is that they have to be disciplined in taking their meds for several months and it will take several months of consuming the antiviral meds every single day to see the full benefits emerge. Yet if the patient will do so properly and disciplined fashion, they are likely to see impressive results. Results that are so impressive, so life-changing, that it borders on the miraculous. read more

Incredibly smart doctor. He has been able to figure out our child when many other doctors and facilities were not. We have a particularly difficult case and he does not give up. These things do not get fixed over night and can take time - we appreciate the constant thought and analysis he puts into our case. The results so far have been outstanding. read more

I don't know where we'd be without Dr. Henderson. He is the best physician I've ever encountered. He provides hope in medically complex cases, admits when he doesn't know, and gives encouragement that he will "never give up in finding an answer." That is rare in today's medicine. We would never consider going anywhere else. read more

I am pleased with the services provided by Dr. Theodore Henderson. He is focused on his patients' health and well-being. Dr. Henderson helped me get off SSRIs, which I had been on for many years. This has not been an easy process, especially because I did not want to depend on more drugs. He was open to working with my naturopath's recommendations in addition to his own. The following pros and cons are based on my experience. Pros: - Dr. Henderson did not just guess about why I had symptoms and then prescribe the standard medications. He used objective diagnostic testing to find out what may be the biological cause(s) of the symptoms before prescribing treatment. He addressed nutritional deficiencies in addition to using medication. - He educates his patients. He stays up to date on current research and is also is involved in research and writing for various journals. He shares this information with his patients so they can learn about their condition and understand why he is recommending the treatment he prescribes. I was able to find and read most of the articles online. - Dr. Henderson values patient privacy. He does not use email or EMR systems to manage your medical data. - He incorporates holistic health practices in addition to his treatments, such as recommending meditation, which have been shown to provide relief for anxiety and other issues. Cons: - Dr. Henderson does not deal directly with insurance companies so it can be expensive up front. It is up to the patient to submit to their insurance provider. - He does not have a receptionist which means you will need to leave a phone message for him. He does return non-urgent calls within a day or two and it is easy to schedule appointments with him. If it is urgent, he will get back to you within a few hours. - He does not have an online appointment website. read more
