I checked out the New Moon Reading Series at Luna Stage this month. According to the website, "New Moon Readings provide playwrights an opportunity to hear their work read aloud by professional actors, and to receive supportive yet constructive feedback." For viewers, it's an opportunity to see a creative work in progress and hear directly from the playwright, which I thought was really cool. I randomly came across the read-through of TRAD on their website, and booked tickets online (free - but you can also donate what you wish). It was a neat experience and would recommend it!

I am a big fan of Luna and I financially support them but &SONS is a miserable show and an insult to the audience. It is amateurish, booring and both loud at times and too low to hear the characters dialogue at others. This show could have been better presented as a very short 5-10 play and nothing would have been lost. Luna has a pay what you want policy which is great but this time I wish it was a pay after you view the show.

As a long time recreational tap dancer, I was originally drawn to BPA to experience another teacher's tap style, but soon after working with Mark, he discovered what I really needed to grow - other dance styles and full body movement. Thanks to Mark, I am learning how to work with my body, which has significantly enhanced the performance quality of my tap routines. It is my pleasure to recommend Broadway Performing Arts!

When my daughter wanted to start tap lessons, she was a little older than most kids and she didn't want to be in a beginner class with all 6 year olds.  BPA had a beginner adult/teen class that was perfect.  She learned so much with Mark in one year she skipped a level the next year. My daughter loved it here so much she would get up early on Saturdays to help out as an assistant in a dance class for the little kids before her own ballet class. Elisa and Mark are professionals from Broadway, TV and film so they are very talented and are excellent teachers but also have a warm and fun environment.   My daughter is in college now training to be an actor and I know Elisa and Mark's teaching and encouragement helped her make it to college

I've done several showcases and none compare to the showcase I completed in Oct 2019 in Manhattan, I received, good and honest feedback from SIX casting directors that knew what they were talking about and were totally honest. Not feeding you "yes man" feedback to string you along. AVS has a variety of training classes that are not only well put together but also given when it's convenient and the price is reasonable. I live in DC and I haven't found the equivalent training here. I've found most classes/courses are way more expensive, not as efficient and they want you to sign a contract for a long term. I hate that and if I'm not 100% satisfied, I don't want to be unhappy and locked into a contract with someone that sucks. Loving AAVS! I take the early bus to Manhattan from Union Station and knock out work or an audition during the day and go to training in the evening. I've gotten a lot of work in NYC since I first found AVS and prior to the COVID pandemic, I was working in Manhattan it-least once a week.

On the day of the event, he kept me posted on his travel time (he was driving in from NYC), and ended up arriving early, which is something I always appreciate. It was an adult-only party, and he was able to cater to this crowd very well. One of my guests is a fan of magic and compared his performance to some of the top-notch shows in NYC he's been to (the ones that are impossible to get tickets to). Allen's flexibility on timing, and pleasing the guests again showed his upmost professionalism in every way. Since my event has passed, pretty much all of my guests asked for his contact information. He was funny (as accurately advertised), engaging, and good at his job! lol We hired Allen very last minute for a community talent show hosted by our church. We were grateful for his availability and quick correspondence. He arrived early for our sound check and was easy to work with. We had him on stage for 30 min then on walk around for the 30 min intermission. The stage performance was fantastic. Allen works the crowd up and gets people involved. The room shifted quickly from entertained applause to a loud "OH SNAPS"and "NOOO". I stepped outside during intermission but could hear very clearly the intermittent "OHHHHH's" as Allen performed his walk-around. Long story short - I am very thankful Allen pursued his magic side gig and I'm on the lookout for another chance to hire him.
