Josh was managing things when we started and he understood the level of care we needed.  Only had one bad experience and after talking with Josh he didn't charge us for that day.  Early on Josh had set a schedule so for the most part we had the same caregivers. They became part of the family. The caregivers also had to deal with my Mom and to say the least she wasn't handling Dad's illness very well.  But, they were kind and respectful.  Josh handed the day to day operations over to Melanie during this period and the level of care never changed.   About 2 years after my Dad passed away, Mom needed some physical therapy but we didn't want her driving anymore.  Called Visiting Angels and once again they got us setup with some wonderful caregivers. By the time COVID hit and my Mom was now isolated we decided to have caregivers come just to spend time with her.  They were a perfect match as my Mom would enjoy gabbing away with them.  They would do anything she asked. If you're trying to make the decision about bringing strangers into a loved ones home, know that Melanie and the other Visiting Angels staff will do their utmost to help you through a difficult time. I will reserve star ratings but I will say this I started with Hope and Freedom the day after labor…read moreday 2023 I had 7 days so I was assigned 2 care attendants Sun-Thurs And Fri^ Sat At first everything with my weekday lady was wonderful and was until she got comfortable she became unreliable the weekend lady was great except she had a chronic cough and refused to practice social distancing or washing her hands so it became necessary for me to get others involved she still refused if I catch a cold it could wipe and no one seemed The office staff were bullies who tried to intimidate me on a few occasions into changing my hours to accommodate other clients as if they were more important it became necessary for me to switch agencies months before having them as my agency they were my incontinence supplier I did not know this I thought my case manager sent that stuff just to petty after I left them they cut off my supplies that is the most unprofessional move they could make because they show how unprofessional they are one of the lowest paying agencies in town and wonder why the staff member had no gas to get to work. I am appalled that to try to exact revenge on me was at the forefront of their mind acting as if they were hurting me by pulling my supplies that is petty inhumane and unprofessional I am sorry I ever used this agency for thar alone not to mention the mental distress of running from someone who was here in my home to give care with a chronic cough and refusing to do due diligence to ease my mind I am glad they showed my case manager their true colors at least in my case germs are germs not to mention the weekday aid went in and out of my refrigerator like she bought groceries and ate 70 eggs in 2weeks alone
