Even the kids gave us great feedback There are many that provide this service so why use Smiles and Beyond? - We were lucky to reach out to them last minute and they were able to come out to our party. So flexibility - across all aspects. - Pricing is very fair. The service alone was above and beyond from our experience. -- Most importantly - they went above and beyond. We had a projector and some speakers (not that great). Leo asked me if we wanted him to hook up his speaker and projector. I said no it'll do not wanting to bother. He said no, it has to be perfect and so we switched to Leo's speaker and video adapter. So glad we did! (My husband got sick last year and we had to cancel our wedding so this was a way to celebrate our union with family and friends). Leo could have stayed at the booth doing what we hired him for, instead he saw me struggling a little and offered to help. Ella and Leo even came looking for me at the end of the party before packing up just to see if there was anyone else I wanted to take a picture with - knowing I did not get to take many pictures at all while entertaining our guests. So although many will provide a service ... very few actually put people first - and Leo and Ella did just that. From our very first contact - their attention to detail and especially the caring human touch was truly impeccable. With the rain and another party to go to - they did not run out the door when the clock hit 4. Instead Leo and Ella made sure our guests and I were happy - me especially :) Would use them again and if you're shopping around - at least meet with Leo and Ella. AND WE LOVED THEM. They followed my portal and must play songs to a T- and perfectly nailed when to play every genre I had. We had such a wide array of ages within the crowd, yet everyone was dancing the entire night! There was not one minute, besides when people were eating dinner, that the dance floor wasn't full. They was professional, diligent, and met with me for multiple times before the wedding on the phone to go through all of our details from start to finish. I had a lot of details and specific songs we wanted at specific times throughout the night, and I am still stunned at how well everything was executed. The violinist during the ceremony was flawless. The percussionist made sure to hop on the dance floor so we could join in. And, Jan even had the idea to use the CO2 cannons at midnight when the hall dropped for our NYE wedding- a touch that was one of our favorite parts of the night. In regards to our photo booth, it was great. We did the Salsa booth and our guests had so much fun with it. (It also came with a ring light- so everyone looked incredible.) I have personally known them both for many years and couldn't wait to call them when I got engaged. This is not their first time around the rodeo, both of these fellas have been in this industry for years and know how to throw down. I had 210 guests, I would say over 50 people who I spoke with after the wedding RAVED about how good of a time they had, how the music was so good and a little over half of which claimed it was the "best" wedding they ever went to. I will concur with all three of those statements. Not only was Jan a breeze to deal with during all of the wedding planning, but the actual day of was honestly flawless. I had a list of about 20 "must have" songs that I wanted to be played, all of which were played. When it comes to music these guys know how to read a crowd. What was refreshing was the different music choices they selected. There is NOTHING WORSE than a CHEESY DJ playing the same music you hear at every wedding-womp womp.....If that is your fear, fear no MO! They even had grandma up on that dance floor JAMMING OUT- a sight I have not seen in over a decade- no joke.I'd say we got WAY more than we paid for, as far s quality is concerned. In both areas, his passion for capturing memories and making sure this special day goes smoothly is clearly evident. At a recent wedding, my job was to take video throughout the day, so I was with Victor and his crew a lot of the time. Before the wedding, he worked with the bride on the "day of" schedule with a timeline letting everyone know where and when they should be, including his crew. This included bride and groom prep, and also time for portraits, first look, etc. When the big day arrived, Victor was essential in helping everyone stay on schedule. With his cross body leather holster, slinging different camera bodies, armed with an array of lenses and equipment, he was in his element. From posing the bride and capturing her in the best light to getting a throng of family members to look in the same direction, his abilities shined. His demeanor and direction helped everyone get relaxed and ready to smile. He also set up professional lights for the portraits, making sure everyone looked good. On the flip side, Victor in ninja-style fashion was also able to capture some sweet, intimate moments between the bride and groom without them knowing. Here are some other little things I took note of that just made the day a little bit better for the couple. - The day is long and tiring, so in the afternoon, Victor had someone drop off pizza to make sure the couple and his crew were not starving. (very thoughtful) - When early arrivals started coming through the wrong entrance and hotel staff were not quick to fix the situation, he quickly decided to have one of his crew members bock off the area with his truck. - The photo booth had a serious collection of props and the resolution on the photos are amazing. Without question, I would recommend Victor if you need a photographer and/or photo booth. Not just for his abilities and skill, but for his leadership in making sure the day goes smoothly.
