Even the kids gave us great feedback There are many that provide this service so why use Smiles and Beyond? - We were lucky to reach out to them last minute and they were able to come out to our party. So flexibility - across all aspects. - Pricing is very fair. The service alone was above and beyond from our experience. -- Most importantly - they went above and beyond. We had a projector and some speakers (not that great). Leo asked me if we wanted him to hook up his speaker and projector. I said no it'll do not wanting to bother. He said no, it has to be perfect and so we switched to Leo's speaker and video adapter. So glad we did! (My husband got sick last year and we had to cancel our wedding so this was a way to celebrate our union with family and friends). Leo could have stayed at the booth doing what we hired him for, instead he saw me struggling a little and offered to help. Ella and Leo even came looking for me at the end of the party before packing up just to see if there was anyone else I wanted to take a picture with - knowing I did not get to take many pictures at all while entertaining our guests. So although many will provide a service ... very few actually put people first - and Leo and Ella did just that. From our very first contact - their attention to detail and especially the caring human touch was truly impeccable. With the rain and another party to go to - they did not run out the door when the clock hit 4. Instead Leo and Ella made sure our guests and I were happy - me especially :) Would use them again and if you're shopping around - at least meet with Leo and Ella. The only thing you have to lose is possibly a vendor that cares more about your needs than the paycheck at the end of the party. And I genuinely mean that.

Then we met her husband Denny who is a DJ and fell in love, he has the greatest personality and we had no doubt he would make sure the dance floor was packed and the music was great! We had 130 guests come to our wedding in Jamaica and every single person has not stopped talking about how awesome Kate's photos are and how great Denny was for a DJ! I have very mixed reviews of Off Beet, who photographed my wedding. Kate, the owner, and one of her…read moreemployees did the wedding. Kate Testa is a lovely person and she takes nice pictures. The large prints that we had made for the wall are delightful. But, I will say, I don't think she is worth the VERY steep price that she charges. Here's why: 1. She doesn't arrive until noon for an afternoon wedding. Or, you can pay more for her to get there earlier. Other photographers will give you the whole day. She missed a lot of photos I would have liked to have had of myself with my bridal party. 2. I think the photos she took of the ceremony were fairly mediocre, although the reception pictures were really good. She does a "photo journalism" style that's better than having all posed photos. 3. She has someone else create the albums, and that person hasn't a damned clue. The original mock-up of the album was bizarrely out of order, and if I hadn't fixed it, the album would be in a strange order. And, my mother was never given a mock up of the parent album, and hers WAS in a strange order. She complained about it, and Kate basically said "tough toenails" (I'm paraphrasing). I'd say this was a good experience in comparison with some of the photographers that my friends worked with. Most of the photos were really good--especially a great photo of me and my husband during a particularly absurd toast. But, for the price we paid for everything, I'm disappointed in some of the pictures that WEREN'T taken, and, frankly, more than a bit pissed off that my parents' album isn't what they wanted.
