I spoke with our hosts over the phone before the party. They answered all of my questions, offered to configure the lobby for our needs, and assured me that there would be several volunteers assisting on the night of the party. We loved hosting such a unique party. All our daughter's friends were mesmerized by the cats. With so many cats in multiple rooms (kitten room, main room, quiet room), each of the girls and adults found their "spot" and had a great time. There was more than enough space for the 23 guests we had The cats were so sweet and fun. With dozens of cats in the same room, you might think that the cats would be fighting or disruptive, but it was just the right mix of calm and playfulness. We brought in pizza and cupcakes, which we set up in the lobby. Cat Nap graciously provided tablecloths and some paper goods. The lobby is small and doesn't have the space for seating, but the girls didn't mind standing or sitting on the floor while they ate. They were eager to get back to the cats, so we didn't spend much time with the food. The volunteers absolutely blew us away with their hospitality. They offered to help us set up and haul trash, and they provided a first aid kit to a couple of our guests who got scratched by the kitties. They answered questions from our curious guests, and they kept the space very clean through the whole evening. Overall, we are so happy to have hosted a party at Cat Nap! Several of our guests are now asking their parents to have their birthday parties there, too!

Called Petco for time they would set up for adoption event and was told 1 hour after they open 10AM. Went to event Saturday June 8 at 10. Was told by Second chance all the dogs would arrive at 11AM. We stayed for the hour and was then told the dogs I wanted would not be there for another 2 weeks, by Second Chance Manager. She then lied to me and said their web site said this, I questioned her and then she said the site says soon. She lied again and said she sent me an email with questions never received, though I did receive auto response email. All of the volunteers acted like they didn't want to be there and treated us extremely rude. Not a place I would want to get a pet from. Think twice And do your homework.

Packing/sorting the peaches is a messy job and either that or the onions got some type of allergen on our forearms, making us super itchy. On the box packing assembly line I was given two stations so I worked like a dog as fast/hard as I could so I wouldn't let the rest of the line down even though I probably should've taken a break. It was like an hour long cardio workout and I was drenched in sweat by the end of it, but we got A LOT of boxes packed.

So, complete waste of time. Disorganized. And with all the time I spent answering all their invasive questions which included my drivers license and personal information, you think they could at least, I don't know, answer the damn phone and follow simple directions without leaving a condescending @$$ voicemail on my phone. I feel really bad for the animals stuck with these people. Stay away and go with a rescue that isn't here to waste your time. Pay attention to the 1 star reviews. There's not that much parking around though but the space is pretty big for card shows. Inside seems pretty cramped but in the gymnasium there's so many tables with all kinds of people and cards.
