I did independent design work for the owner, and the communication and professionalism were extremely disappointing. The owner routinely went long periods without responding, which dragged the project out far longer than necessary. Getting paid for the completed work took far longer than what was agreed upon, and I had to repeatedly follow up just to get the compensation I was owed. What concerned me most was the behavior once I started asking about overdue payment. Instead of resolving things professionally, the owner made inappropriate comments to me and about contacting another company I work with previously and threatened to share untrue negative claims about me. That type of behavior felt completely unprofessional and unnecessary. After I posted a previous review about my experience, the owner's wife contacted Yelp claiming there was a "conflict of interest," even though I was never an employee -- I simply provided them services as an independent contractor. Saying this is my first amendment right protected under the constitution of the United States for free speech. This was my honest experience, and I would encourage anyone considering using them in any capacity to be aware of the communication issues and the lack of professionalism I encountered.
