The store didnt follow the new, updated layout which has been rolled across many Waterstones stores lately so the store didn't have that beautifully excellent contrast of old and new which are usually my favourite parts about Waterstones store. Again, with no staff members on the shop floor and only at the checkouts, especially for a book-store where you should be able to find staff and talk to them perhaps about recommendations, it's a shame this was virtually impossible without holding a queue up of people who already have a book and want to pay etc. They did have some comments from staff members underneath big name and popular books, but not to the extent of other stores - again this was nice to see. A store which surely does need a refurb as it has been left behind compared to other Waterstones branches with the selection being OK at best - despite low staffing levels this store does remain a nice brand to have in Warrington so the brand being here does benefit the city, although this is far from one of the better stores the brand has. 2*

The store is a decent size but the layout of the store really does make it feel smaller with boxes in the way of the aisles which are already pretty narrow - making the store hard to get around, especially if it's a busy time or you require extra space anyway due to having a pushchair for example. It does have a Post Office inside which is useful as it is the only one in Warrington town centre - I don't recall seeing this on my first visit to the store so I do presume this is a pretty new thing, which by the looks of thing is the only improvement this store has made in years. Product range again lacks compared to other stores in larger towns and cities such as Manchester - Market Street and Liverpool One, which are both quite close-by (virtually the same distance north or south of here). Despite its' flaws, it still is a useful brand to have in Warrington with the added benefit of housing the only Post Office in the town centre. 2*

There are actually three floors of furniture and you will everything you can imagine here in all styles--beds, bookcases, night stands, CD storage, display cabinets for collectables, you-name-it.
