This is a cool little shop located within the town of Clifton right next to Trattoria Villagio. They have a variety of wine from around the world. They also give tastings of wine, which when my husband and I went they had three samples to try. We ended up buying one of the whites that we tried in the tasting. This was my first time visiting here. The store is located on the second floor of the building. After you arrive up the staircase, the first area is a wine tasting area with some bottles of wine on display. The second room had more wine on display. The shop is nice and appears to be high end, mostly dedicated to wine. I did not compare wine prices, but my impression is that wine here is more expensive than some of the national or regional retail chains such as Costco, Total Wine, Binny's Beverage Depot, etc. They also offer cigars, beer and cheese. We did not buy anything during our visit. When we were leaving, a customer arrived to buy some wine. If we ever run out of wine we will stop here to buy wine or other items. read more

Been here a few times and just now getting around to a review. This chic Wine store sits above the Italian restaurant in downtown Clifton. You can enter the store from the street or from the side where the train is located. When you go inside, there is a tasting room to the left where the tasting and education takes place. They also have Olive oils and the PA made cheeses for sale in this section. To the right you will have the rest of the store which sells beer, wine and farmer meats (also from PA I believe). We popped in today because we saw an advertisement for the Washington Nationals championship bottle that was released. While we were in, BF picked up some beers and even found a D9 beer that our Total wine said was discontinued (yes we bought them out sorry). As we were checking out, we were asked if we wanted to stay for the wine tasting that was going on. I looked online and saw they had advertised a french wine tasting for 40 a person. The cashier said that no one had signed up and the vendor was there anyway and was offering it for free now to the people that stopped by. We stayed and experienced the wine tasting. It was mostly French Merlot style wines, which we are not a fan of. They did have one white, and we ended picking that up from the tasting as a nice gesture to the vendor. They seem to always have cute events going on at this store and we like the PA cheeses (my favorite is the garlic). Whenever we can fit Clifton in on our road trips, we come and pop in. read more

I came into @thewineattic two weeks ago and had a wonderful experience! Everyone was very helpful in helping pick out some wines! They told me about all the regions they carry and even there wine club. They even held my wines that I picked up from a local vineyard while (Ie. In the warm car) I went to dinner. Okay, now this is one of the wines they recommended and let me tell you it was really good! Steininger! It's a Austria sparkling wine. This sparkling wine has a floral summery fruity aroma with a red summer fruit flavors with a touch of spice. I paired it with a strawberry spinach salad and sirloin steak. It paired very nicely. Definitely will be back for more wine thanks for the lovely experience. If your in the area or want to go and check them out, it's definitely worth the drive! I would also like to add that it's nestled in historic Clifton. Very cute town to explore! Cheers! read more

What a cute wine store! We popped in on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to learn they were hosting a tasting and an art show! My kind of place. We tasted some nice sangrias that weren't overly sweet and a red from France that was nicely discounted and we ended up buying a bottle of. We got to meet the owner Juan who was also a real gem. The store has some unique beer offerings as well as some specialty groceries. Definitely pop in and keep your eye out for the art shows. read more

This little shop is located on the top floor of a building in downtown Clifton (close to the train tracks & across the street from the ice cream shop). It is definitely worth stopping by. The owner is super sweet, their selection is decent (they sell beer and other goodies too), and they have many reasonably-priced bottles ($15 range). They do samplings too! read more

This is definitely a little gem in the town of Clifton. I had avoided it for a while because I assumed that the prices would be crazy. However, they were beyond reasonable! I've been trying to find wines without additives and sulfites, as they tend to give me headaches. The Wine Attic has many different options that taste great. We came during Clifton days and decided to go upstairs for a little wine tasting. It was $15/person. Three tiny pours in a plastic cup and 4 small strips of deli cheese, 2 grapes and a few crackers were what you received for $15. Two of the wines I gave to my husband as I didn't like them. We did a wine and cheese pairing tasting & it was so nice! The owners of this little gem were so pleasant & knowledgeable about their wines. They were very generous with the portions of the cheese and gave generous pours of wine as well. For $15 I'd say we tried 5 different wines and had multiple pours of a couple of them. The owner also paid attention to our rhythm as far as when to come back and pour the next wine. This was important because it was really an experience. I think the tasting lasted about an hour and a half & we sat at a table with space to talk and really enjoy and discuss each wine. Highly recommend this experience!! read more

TL;DR A quaint wine store with a knowledgeable staff and a growing inventory located in a cozy space on what could be considered "Main Street USA". The Wine Attic is a recently opened wine store in Clifton that opened above Villagio. The store is run but an adorable husband and wife couple who are very friendly and knowledgeable. They will make you feel welcome the moment you enter the store up until the second you leave. When first opened the selection in the store is a little sparse, however it is growing every day. The store will occasionally have what could be considered a free sampling. Nothing as in-depth as a tasting at a winery but still allows you exposure to some wines you might not have tried otherwise. They also have options for a food and wine paring and I have heard they will be adding a wait staff for the summer months. I have visited several times and each time I leave with a new bottle I have never heard of. Most of the time the bottle is not even part of the sampling but is recommended by the owner. While I do not have a refined wine palate as some, the bottles that are recommended have never disappointed myself or my guests. Additionally they sell some of the amazing cheeses that are part of their food parings and they have a rotating stock of unique craft beer. Even though they are newer to the area the store is already becoming a fixture in the community, offering many wine related events throughout the month and promoting local events. What a great boutique!! It was such a nice surprise to stop into a wine shop and find the owners, Renee and Juan, working behind the counter! My wife and I browsed the eclectic selection of wines. The selection included a lot of wines that you would know, but a lot that will be new to you. Additionally, they offer beers that are hard to find. If you need some help making a selection, just ask. The whole staff was super helpful. They even had a rep from a winery there to help us make a selection! We can't wait until we are in Clifton, again, to go back! read more

I love the Wine Attic. Not only does is have that personal neighborhood feel-yea they know what I like-but their selection is amazing.

Stopped in this past Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! Brian was working behind the counter and offered my friend and me a wine tasting of three wines; two whites and one red. All three were different and ones I had never tried before! A white blend, a pinot gris (with a blush hue), and a red blend. Afterwards, my friend browsed the shop and I was glad to see a variety of prices for the wines they offer. I ended up purchasing two wines that were reasonably priced ($16 and $12), and look forward to enjoying them soon. Will definitely stop by whenever I am in Clifton, and encourage others to do the same! read more

What a cute little wineshop. The owner behind the counter was friendly and chatty - poured samples of three quite nice wines at reasonable prices. The layout of the tiny store itself allows the labels of the wines to be appreciated, so it's fun to view the selection. There's not much to do in Clifton, but the next time I pass through, I'll stop back at the Wine Attic to see what's being poured. read more

I recently moved to the area and am studying to become a sommelier. I asked Juan for six bottles, three red and three white, that were new, exciting, and interesting. In short, he delivered. The most notable suggestion was an orange Chardonnay for Bulgaria. It was nothing like any Chardonnay I have ever had. It was exactly what I wanted! I will deffatly be back! read more
