There's no free breakfast, but it's easy to bring some foods from home-there's a small fridge in the room. Coffee is free, fresh-brewed, and well worth the trip downstairs in the morning. There are dozens of restaurants easily walkable from the hotel, and Santa Cruz and San Jose are 90 minutes away. Shoutout to Eugene at the front desk, who answered all my questions and was unfailingly polite and cheerful. (Hard to do in customer service!)

Door was unlocked, bed had clearly been slept/f*cked in. No thanks.

German Roach Infestation Alert!…read more I arrived late at night, exhausted, and just wanted to rest. As I settled into bed, I spotted a German roach crawling across the wall right by my face. As a former pest control business owner, I knew immediately this wasn't a random bug -- this was a sign of a bigger infestation. I wanted to leave immediately but was too tired and had work the next day. I carefully kept my luggage closed and off the floor to avoid bringing any pests home. Unsurprisingly, I barely slept, feeling uneasy all night. By 5 a.m., I was up, checked out, and reported the issue. I canceled the rest of my reservation and requested a refund -- but they only offered $30 off. The lack of real concern or accountability from the staff was incredibly disappointing. Bottom line: NEVER AGAIN.

We started with a hair toning so that my old color would blend well. It was clear Stacey knew what I was looking for and had those skills she took blending to a whole new level. The install went great we took breaks as needed and she powered through. She took that time to teach me all I needed to know about how to continue to care for my hair and loaded me up with goodies to take home as a starter kit. It really shows that she cares about your experience by her simply sending me home with the right products to trial, brush and hair towel. To me that meant she wanted me to have a good experience. She didn't just send me home with an amazon shopping list crossing her fingers that I may or may not figure it out she set me up for success! We set up a follow up appointment to check back in and be sure I was happy with my color and cut/ refine all of that at that time for growth. The hair has been a game changer. I used to love this hotel. Not anymore…read more I stayed here a couple times a year for about a week for several years. Due to health issues, I was unable to visit Los Gatos for about 3 years. I returned January 30th, 2026. I regret that one night I stayed there. The room was terrible. Dirty, really crappy bed, lights were difficult to turn on. (A remote was provided that didn't work right.) The heater was broken so the hotel provided a small electric space heater. Not cool. The metal threshold between the bedroom and the bathroom was taped down (see picture). When I complained the next morning I was told the hotel is under new ownership and management. I was assured the owner would call me to make things right. It is February 4th. No contact has been made. Save yourself some grief. Pick another hotel.
