Where do I begin. Hilda was rude, indifferent, and…read moreunapologetic. I had an appointment at 1p, got there twenty minutes earlier just to be sure I was there on time. When I stepped into the place, the guy at the front asked for my name and appointment time, I said 1p and told him my name. He directed me towards the seating area and told me to wait, that the person who would be helping me would be available soon. By 1:01, I guessed they were finishing up since sometimes things go over with stuff like this. By 1:30, I decided to give it 10 more minutes. The guy at the front had visibly gotten up a total of two times after 1p and gone to knock at the door for the lady whom I guessed was also going to be helping me. I don't know what he told her, but it didn't alleviate the situation in any way for me since I was still there waiting without any updates at all. By 1:40, I asked if I could step out for moment to buy a snack since I hadn't gotten a chance to eat earlier in the day. The guy at the front looked at me and said yes, only to follow that response with "can you wait a few more minutes, she's almost done." My stomach had been growling for the last thirty minutes, and was starting to cramp, so I politely said that I would be quick and come back. He took my W-2's before I stepped out so he could hand them to her if she finished before I got back. It took me five minutes to walk to the Dollar Tree around the corner of the building, grab a snack, then five minutes to get back. When I got back, the door to the lady's office was open and the guy at the front told me she was ready for me. When I stepped into her office, there was no greeting, no smile or even a look to signal that she acknowledged me at all. (And I'm not trying to say that people should smile all the time. I don't, so I don't expect anyone to do so. But at least as a greeting to someone you've kept waiting for almost an hour past their appointment time, it's the bare minimum.) I sat down at one of the chairs across from her as she went through my documents, punching them into her computer. "I started looking at your 2023 documents, you're getting .... back for your federal," was all she said, which I had asked if she could change since I had already received my federal and only needed my state taxes redone for that year. I had said, "I had hoped to see you before you started so I could let you know about my federal taxes once my appointment had began, but since I didn't know when that would be, I couldn't tell you." She then edited the e-document and started rushing through the 2025 tax forms like she was in a hurry. I couldn't help but feel like I was wasting her time throughout our whole interaction, or lack there of. There were no questions, no comments, nothing. I watched her staple things together, get up to print things out, then come back and sit down without a word. She handed me a pack and told me to sign it, then showed me the amounts I'd be getting back. After that, she closed the folders and started organizing her own stuff, only saying a quick, "Okay, that's it. You're set." I paid $240 for this kind of service, only to have it rushed into 10 measly minutes where I couldn't ask a single question. Don't ask for Hilda. Save yourself an hour or two. Aldo, Fatima, and Karla are great, go to them instead. Yo page $240 por un servicio como este, para solo tener 10 minutos muy apurados y sin poder hacer ni una pregunta. No hagan cita con Hilda. Mejor con Aldo, Fátima, o Karla, ellos si los cuidan bien.
