I had a bad experience with Albert Sullivan trying to prepare my taxes for me this year. He sent me the tax forms to review and sign and I noticed that he had missed a $ 15000 deduction ( we had just discussed). I emailed him immediately and he did not respond at all . On the 5th day I went to his office, leaving a message. He still did not rectify the situation, he never acknowledged that he made that mistake. I had a situation that left me uncomfortable doing my taxes on my own so I sought help from a professional. This guy gets one star because he was quick to make my appointment and filed everything on my behalf. But the service itself was disappointing. I literally could have done everything he did on my own. There wasn't any real support, he just gathered my basic info and filled the forms. I moved out of the state right after the taxes were filed, so months later when I learned I owed more than the amount that was originally billed (which his forms agreed with) I reached out for help. I don't even think I heard back, was just ignored. I suppose he thought his problem left the state so I became irrelevant. What was frustrating is this guy charged me a good amount for the services and didn't cash my check until 9 months after he had helped me (well after I reached out for help when I learned I owed more money). What a jerk. The experience was so frustrating because I forked over a good amount of cash for a half-ass job I could have done better myself. That and he held my money hostage for all that time inconsiderately. read more
