You know when you take a tour of someplace with the marketing director and the staff are "polite" to that person? Like this is the first time they ever spoke to them? Well my tour of Reeds Landing was genuinely nice - like the staff friends! My mom will benefit from a GP doctor having an office and staff on-site. So far, so good. I will update my review after moving in and checking it out.

I have a bachelor's degree in education with a physical education major and a minor in Biology. Plus I read about the latest thought on health, nutrition, and longevity frequently. Recently I had some lab work done. My blood showed abnormalities and my doctor wants further testing. There are several possible sources of the problem. But malnutrition is definitely included in the list. You can't get vitamins from a meal that has precious little fruits and vegetables. Now that I have some how reached the grand ole age of 72 a proper diet is even more essential in my opinion.

She was in an accident and it was during Covid. After 23 days in ICU. Having to have a trache. She had pneumonia. Broke 19 ribs, her hand, dislocated her shoulder, smashed her pelvis , and broke her tibia. The day they sent her to Vibra in Leominster, they put her in a deflated bed. She was on metal with all those injuries. No one cared. She couldn't get up to go the bathroom, so the stacked bedpans and chucks in her bed and told her to use them. They'd come and pick them up later. I couldn't be there because of Covid. We'd get calls from her at night telling us she was lying in her own filth. She would be crying, yet wouldn't let us complain because she felt they would treat her worse. By the time we got her into a new facility, her blood pressure was so low that she had doctors and nurses all around her trying to wake her up. They had to cancel her appointment because they thought she was in too much danger. She was malnutritioned. She now has PTSD From being there. And who could blame her. It is unique not only in the A+ care that all residents receive, but the Little Sisters of the Poor truly live their mission, "to care for the Elderly Poor" with Love, Joy and Respect. Every resident I have come to know absolutely Loves living at the Residence. Their lives are filled with joy which is clearly evident whenever you visit. As one resident says, "St. Joseph's Residence is like living on the Good Ship Lollipop, without ever leaving port". As a result, our family members live longer, happier lives. He is hard of hearing and can't hear most of the time but the staff know how to go right up to him and talk in his ear. He was very lonely at home but at Heritage Woods he sits at meals with three other men and enjoys their companionship. His apartment is kept nice and clean. No one has ever shown the slightest impatience with all the questions the family has had in the stressful move of our father to the assisted living. Thank you for all the help, Heritage Woods.

From the administration to nurses, CNA's, dining staff and cleaning staff! Their room is bright and spacious and kept clean! Medical attention is quick when needed. We get calls if there are ever concerns and updates if one of them has any issue. The daily activities are perfect for their mental level. I was visiting one day when Our Dad got up from his dining table after lunch - grabbed his walker -and said: 'I have to go join the circle in the community room now. They always have something fun to do!" Even with his dementia he knew it was a good thing!! (This actually surprised me as he was never super enthusiastic about anything when he and my Mom lived alone at home). There is always an activity they can take part in. The feel of The Reserve is quite posh compared to other facilities I checked in the area. It's very pleasant to visit. My sisters and I really recommend The Reserve to anyone looking to Place their Parent or Parents in a safe, comfortable, clean facility. We feel confident in all aspects of the Reserve. We hope my parents will enjoy many more years here!
