This place is horrendous. The bad staff makes the good ones look bad. Food is always cold. The temperature in the building is freezing.They don't know how to regulate it.No one goes outside of what they're tight little restrictions around their job duties are. Simply awful. This place has really gone downhill prior to the pandemic. They were much better. There was a huge sign over my sister's CPAP machine to help her with it at night and that did not happen and they left her in the same clothes all day and let her sleep in those clothes overnight and they ran out of One of her medicines that was critical to her recovery. She ended up back in the hospital the same day she was discharged. I really am having second thoughts about ever going back there but from what I'm hearing this is our healthcare system today. I'm not blaming the staff. They're very nice. They just don't have enough people And no one seems to really be in control over there. read more

The staff is terrible this place is disorganized Someone needs to go undercover months talk to the patients and staff see how they are being treated see how the black people are being treated as patients and the black workers are over worked and under paid. There's no order. Staff has no identification to the patients from this company to help the patients trust them that they are working from this company .Staff is not all in uniform so that patients can identify them with a badge from this company . How you a nurse and you coming to the patients with medicine with no identification that you are a nurse from this company with no company name and no face on the badge trying to serve medicine to the patients . No one with no badges from THIS COMPANY CARE ONE REDSTONE WITH THEIR PICTURE ON IT. Help us know that we are safe . Help us know that you all work here. Any body can come in this building with a CNA badge and act like they work here and they can harm a patient. We don't know who to trustin this building. This place needs to be organized from the top on down. You owe it to the people who pay the bills here and to the patients. Who do we trust? Get staff that love and care about their jobs. Not people who discriminate againts black people or fat people,or you don't look like your hurt so they judge you from the outside and act like their your God and try to push pass your limits and make you hurt your self worse than you came in. People that boost patients and hit their heads knowing they had brain surgery before.They don't care . It looks like they told their friends to put on a uniform and come to work with me. And let's go into a patients room I will let you practice because there is no bosses on the floor who is walking around watching and maintains or and identifying workers and non workers from visitors and strangers who come in uniform and they were bonnets while working. Strangers are coming in the room at night taking off me and my neighbors clothes at night do you care? Strangers are coming in the room in the room in the room making my neighbor put lotion on her and 6am in the morning while she sleep do you care does that make sense? Organized this place bring in order ,bring in new staff bring in a better chef who can cook identifying food for the patients and not just hanging out with the staff then throwing up slop because time is against them because they been entertaining staff instead of cooking a good identifying good meal.A hot meal. We need order and organization staff and administrative office.The Bible saids let all thing be done decently & n order I Corinthians 14:40 follow God's word pray & continue to get a vision for this building constantly put cameras and microphones and listen n this building put them every where do you know staff hangs out in patients rooms for a long time and acts like their working when their not their talking & watching TV w/the patience behind the curtains sometimes sitting in the chairs. Our experience with CareOne at Redstone was nothing short of wonderful. My 89 year old father was on the rehab floor, and subsequently moved to longterm care floor. From the nurses, to the CNAs, to the aides, to OT and PT........everyone was amazing. The entire staff of the facility took very loving care of Dad. Always attentive, as he was a fall risk. Always accommodating to his needs and requests. Always respectful, even when he was in his cranky moods. This once curmudgeon of a man very quickly became the sweetest, smiling, happy guy.......I attribute 100% to the staff at Redstone. The facility was very clean and well maintained. Special shout-out to the busy administrators -- Hands On Every day! What's not to love with Redstone! Dad loves it......and we, the family, do, as well. Bitsakis Family! read more

Worse staff ever. The Night Nurse tending to my dad, was negligent in caring for him. On his first night there, I get a call about 6:45 in the morning from her, telling me that my dad but he's ok and now is back in his bed. Unbelievable!!! Im not going to get into the details of what happened after I got there in less than 20 minutes because I will not have enough characters to write this review. All I'm going to say is really beware. This place is the dump in a hellhole. This facility advertises compassionate care. This facility is bereft of any compassionate care. Hayes mean nasty and stupid. I came here Friday, December 8 with nonstop diarrhea. I had to wear diaper. Nasty about changing my diaper. on Saturday, I was forced to spend four hours laying in my own feces. This is unacceptable. Last Wednesday I was diagnosed with CDF. The movement through private room. My phone broke because the receiver didn't connect to the phone right. It took me until Friday to get my phone back. When they moved me, the TV didn't work. Maintenance came over and told me they couldn't reprogram the TV. That is baloney. It's not rocket science to reprogram a TV. As I'm blind, they told me how to scroll up and down the channels. Well, I can't see the channels on the TV because it's too far away for me to see. Maintenance said they didn't even have any spare TVs or backup TVs. That is baloney. It's not rocket science to reprogram my TV. I hope the director of social work he came to see me last Friday. I told him about the phone he got me a new phone that works. I demonstrated him on the TV didn't work. I hit the channels button and it came up static. He told me about three different times. They have a printed version of the channel guide. I explained to him that I was blind and could read it the printed channel guide. I have it on my phone. Meanwhile, the TV didn't work. It still doesn't work either. The maintenance people here are lazy and stupid. I can't believe they don't have any. Spare TVs are unable to reprogram or TV to make it work. Also, ask the Director of social work about my kind of player to teach me how to use a urostomy bag. You talk with the nurse and she changed the bag I tried to help her, and still wasn't enough. So far I have not received any kind of training yet. I hoping I get more Monday. If I don't raise hell about it too. The food hears horrible. They used processed breakfast food like ale waffles scrambled eggs are wanting some sort of pork loin dish or some shrimp dish with soggy vegetables. The toast is soggy not crispy either. I would definitely not recommend to have a loved one. Her parents put in this hellhol. On Christmas Eve, I was told I had to go to the hospital. I understood I had hemoglobin count and RSV. Anyway, three days in the hospital. I just got out today. They moved my room because I had somebody else that needs my room that was been clean necessary. They moved up to another private room on the second floor. However, ever, it is an asshole didn't bring my stuff up my new room. They left it where it was. I have no clue. I got my suitcase and everything else but I didn't get my nightstand back at my wallet. Luckily it's locked. I was told by some nurse that should help me get my stuff back. I'll wait-and-see. If not, I'll call administrator and let him know I'm extremely unhappy. They did fix my TV in my old room. Even swap the TV on my old room with a semi private room to the TV in my private room. This TV works. If they listen to me before I wouldn't waste my time trying to tell them these idiots to swap the TVs. I moved to my new room and this TV works. Oh wait and see what happens with training with bated breath and getting my stuff back. I finally got my stuff back including my wallet. They wouldn't swap out cabinets like I suggested they do. Their policy is they don't move cabinets. This is stupid! The procedure is to put my stuff in a bag and bring it up and dump it in the new cabinet. Luckily nothing was missing. Ace here are sensitive lazy and stupid. The nursing stuff. I have Doobies regards in the components as a nurse. age and staff do not understand the fact that I'm blind. Wonders came to me as my asked me back leaked and she didn't wasn't quite sure they could put another one on because they have any other ostomy bags. She finally found one and finally got the thing on I wouldn't connect to the large overnight the ostomy bag. I can't believe this place doesn't have any spare ostomy bags. It figures with this hellhole. Anyway, one nurse came in. She plopped the meds right in front of me which I didn't see it because I'm blind. Finally got the nurse to come back and tell me my meds there. I got washed up and changed my bed. Just quite nasty about it too. no really washing up people in the bed. You haven't gone to the bathroom and do it. Sensitive. I called her Director yesterday on Friday and explained to him that I want to start my training and Ernest and to get in touch with the school, nursing VNA agency that help me get my discharge plan together. call him on Tuesday and let him know that I want to stunt I want with bated breath to see if he actually does something. While there I had medical equipment ( a walker) purchased by me delivered to me and the staff tried to mark it as theirs in a effort to basically steal it from me !! Luckily I had the paperwork from the delivery or I would e forced to purchase another one totally out of pocket. They also shorted my meds when I left . I had a new package of medicine good for 30 day that I had only used a couple of days!! They gave me a pack with less then a week left in it. I think they were using the same medication for other people and the dispenser has a mouthpiece on it were you put your mouth on it to receive the medication read more

Horrible experience! Be careful if you go here. The food smelled like vomit. They were very hesitant with preparing another meal. They refused to give medications on time and left me in pain for 10 hours. They kept throwing other patients trash and clothing in my personal trash bins. They lack discipline when it comes to cleanliness. When I decided I'd had enough, and I wanted to leave, they locked the doors to the facility and refused to let me out. It was a nightmare. All of that and I was there less than 24 hours. read more

Terrible experience! My father developed a MASSIVE UTI while here. It went untreated for 11 days. When the "professionals" at redstone finally acknowledged that he had this infection, he was prescribed a 3 day dose of an IV antibiotic, of which he only received 1 dosage! A state investigation surrounding my father's condition upon his discharge ensued. The state investigation cited this facility for at least 3 very serious violations. This is only the tip of the iceberg concerning the 3 and a half weeks my father spent in this hellish nightmare. He went there for short term rehab with a report from the hospital stating that his chances for rehab were good. He could stand, walk and use the toilet, and was fully continent of bowel and bladder when he went in. He came out half-dead, was rushed back to the hospital, where he spent 12 days being treated for this serious, life-threatening infection and severe dehydration, as well as respiratory distress and a very high heart rate. VERY POOR CARE at redstone. The majority of staff there have zero compassion or tolerance for caring for the elderly! read more
