Mind you I already packed, hired movers and ready with obligations to leave out of state 7-31-2025! Lease up and lease begins in another state which I am obligated! Got a call NOT even 24 hours before my resevation (actually 19 hours before) pick up to tell me, "Sorry, we don't have equipment anywhere in Iowa!" Needless to say I lost it as that news sent me scrambling to find a truck and car hauler. They did have ONE truck with NO car hauler in another state 2.45 hours away!!! What in the H good would that do for me now???? Zero. Thankfully PENSKE went completely out of there way to get me what I needed and for the time I needed. But guess what? Yep. The cost. Nearly 639.00 more up and beyond U-Haul price and quote. Round and round I go with CSR and district ONLY to be offered 50.00 bucks for the lack of their incompetence. That's it! Also spent 180.00 plus for boxes at the 63rd street location!!!! It is literally unreal that U-Haul would leave people hanging like this! "It's the busy season sir, and its not guaranteed!" I'm like what good is a reservation if it can't be lived up to? What about my job obligations in another state? What about the people depending on me in said state to be there WHEN I said I would trust in U-Haul to ensure I had the equipment to get out of Dodge??? Never, EVER again will U-Haul see any of my business and I will be the LOUDEST sounding horn against anyone wanting to seek my advice on renting from U-Haul!!!!! You lost a customer forever and your customer service SUCKS!!!!! Mic drop!

The first time I had to leave cause the line was so long and when you are in the middle of moving you can waste precious time waiting in a line where only 1 person is working the counter, checking in trucks, and having to ask about 40 questions to every customer who is renting a truck. All I wanted to do is buy some boxes to make moving my record easy.. It ended up being quite the chore... The man working behind the counter stayed positive and kind to all the customers and the boxes worked great so I gotta give him a 5 stars on politeness and patience, but a 1 star for Uhal on only having 1 employee doing all the jobs on a busy Saturday.. Average the 5 and 1 and get a 3..

We went to RV1 in Altoona Iowa on Feb 2021 to have some work done, at that time we had a walk…read morethrough with service person, we decided to have the work done that said needed done, plus what we ask to be done. A 8514.84 was given to them to do all the work discussed. After waiting and calling and not getting any response we decided to stop bye, this rv center is about 75 miles from where we live. The service person Meisha also said we need the tires check. We were told they ordered all parts. But they had de winterized, and washed it and sealed it and applied the ecopro. On April 15 we went there and after and heated conversion the sales manage told us the level jacks did not work and that was not his fault, we informed him they worked when the rv was dropped off to them. The sales manager told the service person to get our rv and they were done working on it. This was a very unprofessional way to deal with this. They broke the jacks and said to bad he was done with the rv, he did say they would refund 4800 dollars. When we took the rv home, we check out what they say they did. We found out that back up camera was broke. We had to tire shop because the front tires where bad and cost 700 dollars rv1 told us our tires where good. But the tires where bad we found steel belts on the right front side and it was very dangerous to drive because at any time they could blow and could cause a lot damage to us or anyone else who was around us, this was only part of the lies we were told. They never even ordered the jack, the water tank is bad and they say everything was ok. So now we had to take the rv to another service center to get the things fixed that they broke and lied about doing. We were told that a 4800 refund check was coming it had to go through corporate office and that was on April 15 and we still have not got it. This was the worse serve we had ever had. We have all the documents to back up what we are saying. We looked up the RV1 on the BBB website and found this is a problem with your company. This is a brief and not all inclusive list of items. 1) We want our money back and want RV1 to pay for the items we had fixed that your service center broke. Recently purchased a small Jayco camper to use and found that the refrig was not working right. After several phone calls, I finally came across Easy Camping RV! Left a message, and they responded within minutes. I was both frustrated and anxious, but after talking with them on the phone felt much better. What I appreciate the most was that Dave was very knowledgeable and supportive! "Don't worry, we will get it running." He cared enough to take the time to explain things to me and gave me some simple instructions to follow. I followed his advice and was relieved to find the refrig to be working properly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this business to any RV owner!
