When we met them both, we immediately knew we wanted them to do our wedding. It was the combo deal that did us in. We were getting all the photos that I could possibly want plus the choice of fun and music for the wedding and reception. We loved all of the ideas and they definitely understood and loved all of ours. This was very important to us because we knew that Anthony would be controlling the flow of the entire night. Also important that Gina get the fun photos and quick and painless family photos that we wanted. We had multiple meetings and much communication back and forth til we were satisfied of what we wanted. Anthony and Gina really did most of the work with just a little guidance from us. Even in emails I received from prior to the wedding, they were just as excited for our wedding as we were- which I loved. I also loved that we could go online and select the music prior to the event at our leisure plus veto also music ahead of times. Gina ran the camera and got in the most important pictures that I was looking for. There's not much that I can say about the actual wedding day besides that it was absolutely amazing and perfect! Cant say enough how smooth everything went from family photos to the fun of the reception. The music, the lights, everything! I would recommend using Shoots and Sounds for any event! :)

I highly recommend her, as she was our photographer for our entire wedding experience, from engagements to full day of wedding activities--we got the chance to work with her for many months leading up to our big day. She is professional and amazing at photography. You can tell she loves what she does. She works out of West Des Moines, but traveled to Denver, CO to capture our big day! She does destination weddings all over too, as I've seen pictures on her facebook and instagram. She can make any setting look even more amazing--beach, mountains, cornfield, lake, grass field. She even brought smoke bombs in our college colors! I was also touched at how she bonded with everyone in the wedding party, including the parents. While we were getting ready, my mom said to Jenni, "Don't take any of me, I am not photogenic." Jenni had already snapped a few of her, and she showed my mom the photos, and said, "No--you are beautiful, look at these." And I could see how happy that made my mom. Just melted my heart & made us so happy. Jenni worked SO hard to make sure the wedding day went smoothly--she helped grab props for us, such as champagne bottles we wanted to pop during the post ceremony celebration. She is also very efficient and worked SO well with our videographer and all our other vendors. Again, we are SO HAPPY with how they turned out!! AMAZING!! Thanks Jenni, they are just PERFECT!

He was so easy to work with and prompt to respond to my questions. From our first engagement photo (which my husband and I were very sick for and you wouldn't know from the photos) to our very last, he captured every important moment. Having the extra photographer there on the wedding day became SO apparently important after the fact - I saw photos and moments that I didn't even know were being captured. I cherish these. I'd recommend this photographer to anyone!

We used CoD for our wedding, because our venue was about 20 minutes from the hotel block/city center where most of our guests were and we wanted to make sure people could have an amazing time at our reception without being in danger on the drive home :) I called a few months out and spoke with Gretchen (I think?) who could not have been more lovely and helpful. She helped me figure out exactly the vehicle timing and arrangement I needed to provide shuttle service for our guests before and after the ceremony and reception, as well as for my husband and I to get to our hotel at the end of the night! They truly think of every detail, down to color coordinating the paper napkins in each limo to your event colors and providing my husband and I with complimentary champagne at the end of the evening. She was highly communicative with the follow-ups and additional questions I had leading up to our wedding day, and it took SUCH a load off my mind knowing that someone as detail-oriented and customer service-oriented as Gretchen and her team were working with us. I know our guests (especially the out-of-towners) really appreciated the ease with which they got around that day...and I'm sorry a year late for our silly friends playing "Zombie" by The Cranberries pretty much the whole way back to the hotel at the end of the night lol! But truly the cap on the great experience was our driver after the party was over (whose name escapes me but I think he is actually Gretchen's husband and a co-owner of the company...Aaron, maybe?). This is the gentleman who drove my husband and I back to Des Moines after all our guests had left, and he was so polite and lovely and congratulatory, and offered to drive our belongings to our hotel for us while we went out for a late night bite post-reception! Overall, this company really does go above and beyond, for incredibly reasonable prices, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
