We loved having Jenni as our wedding photographer!! She was easily one of our favorite vendors. So easy to work with and her photos speak for themselves. Jenni knows exactly what looks great and what doesn't and has a great eye for the scenery around her. We will cherish these photos and are very proud to display them! Jenni did a FANTASTIC job on both our engagement and wedding day photos. We are SO SO happy with how they turned out! I highly recommend her, as she was our photographer for our entire wedding experience, from engagements to full day of wedding activities--we got the chance to work with her for many months leading up to our big day. She is professional and amazing at photography. You can tell she loves what she does. She works out of West Des Moines, but traveled to Denver, CO to capture our big day! She does destination weddings all over too, as I've seen pictures on her facebook and instagram. She can make any setting look even more amazing--beach, mountains, cornfield, lake, grass field. She even brought smoke bombs in our college colors! I was also touched at how she bonded with everyone in the wedding party, including the parents. While we were getting ready, my mom said to Jenni, "Don't take any of me, I am not photogenic." Jenni had already snapped a few of her, and she showed my mom the photos, and said, "No--you are beautiful, look at these." And I could see how happy that made my mom. Just melted my heart & made us so happy. Jenni worked SO hard to make sure the wedding day went smoothly--she helped grab props for us, such as champagne bottles we wanted to pop during the post ceremony celebration. She is also very efficient and worked SO well with our videographer and all our other vendors. Again, we are SO HAPPY with how they turned out!! AMAZING!! Jenni did our engagement photos, which turned out great. BUT... For our wedding: Several photos and the video of our wedding were lost/deleted. All of the photos of the groom/groomsmen getting ready (taken by a second shooter) were lost/deleted. We told Jenni that we were going to have someone take a video of our vows and of our first dance. Jenni told us that her second shooter was going to do the videoing for us as her gift to us. Unfortunately, the videos were lost/deleted along with the groom/groomsmen pictures. When she gave us the raw photos, she said the video was not on the disk because she wanted to do something special with it. When we received the edited photos, we asked where the video was, she claimed it was with the raw photos. Also, the edits/touchups on our wedding photos were much worse than the engagement photos. No effort was made to make things better by offering reimbursement or anything. Also, she cancelled several times on friends trying to get photos of their baby. Very unreliable. WOW! Jenni is so passionate about photography and has the natural talent to capture what most people can't. The moments that are so quick that most people lose them, she captures! We have had Jenni photograph a couple events of ours and she is awesome! I have also had the pleasure of seeing her in action at several weddings. I hired Jenni based on recommendations for my wedding and paid in full. She was difficult to work with from the start, attempting to cancel last minute on my engagement shoot, and not telling me when photos were ready after my second shoot, refusing to meet with me to discuss timeline and what I was hoping for day of my wedding. I bit my tongue to make the best of it because I couldn't cancel the contract and lose thousands. Jenni ruined our first look photos by not setting up her shots to catch my husband's reaction and instead photographed my face. She did not deliver copyright teaser (she posts 5-7 edited images for brides with a copyright disclaimer). She regularly advertises the same package I bought (10 hrs) and brings a second shooter without contracting it and brought someone who was not listed on her website and did not know how to work his camera providing blurry, over exposed and underexposed images. I provided a timeline but changed it leading up to the wedding because I wasn't sure what I was doing and she refused to meet with me when I requested it so my DJ provided help. She then ignored my timeline day of and with everything happening I felt too overwhelmed to speak up (my mistake). When I decided to write my review on facebook I was selective in pointing out the big things and not all small things. She in turn attacked my character both on her business page and personal page in a public post and shared my entire photo album with her facebook friends encouraging them to cyber bully me. Although I was provided a contracted copyright release (not to be confused with print release) she went out of her way to violate me and defame my character by calling me 'insane' and 'crazy' and 'bridezilla' publically for anyone to see, as well as shared photos that a copyright release deems owned by me without my permission. In her extremely unprofessional attack on me, her followers were able to find my information/last name and locate the only other negative review of MANY reviewed I made for my wedding. She discredited it saying I lied about an issue my hired transportation company had with their air- not knowing that they handled their review professionally offline and admitted to having a failed compressor and made it right with me. She also admitted that she did not provide me the same level service by excusing the fact that she did not filter out bad shots she provided because she claims she knew I would be difficult, however she did this on all 3 of my shoots spanning 13 months supporting that she treated me different and provided less service to me than she does standard. She showed that she is not professional and not someone that a bride should risk dealing with on her wedding day. I certainly hope Jenni can process feedback in the future because her unprofessional manner is going to hurt her business if she can't accept when she has messed up (first look and overbooking herself) and realize that something as small as a simple apology can go a long way. Slander, defamation, and unauthorized release of information she doesn't regularly share in an effort to belittle and bully clients is going to lead to big trouble for her business if she continues treating clients this way. read more
