The owner/designer has major attitude bordering on disdain for us even though we look like young decent professionals. Maybe because we are not her targeted clientele, which seems to be sorority girls and upper society ladies from Haile Plantation Country Club. Price was decent - altering a dress shirt costs $25 each and turnover seems to be about 1 week. But we won't be coming back after picking up the shirts, even if her skills are excellent. I will take my business somewhere else where I am not treated with disdain.

Getting married is one of the happiest times of your life but shopping for a wedding gown can prove…read moreto be stressful. I knew what type of gown I wanted and began looking. I lived in Gainesville, FL at the time and began looking for my dress but to no avail. I visited: Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee, but I could not find any dresses that were close to what I was looking for. Finally, a sales consultant informed me that my taste was a couple years ahead of the local trends and that I'd have to go to a major metropolitan area and pay an arm and a leg if I wanted to find what I was looking for. Frustrated and quite frankly, pretty bummed out, I thankfully remembered Jacquelyn Brooks Designs. I contacted her, sent photos and asked if she could design something similar for me. The dress was absolutely perfect, greatly exceeded my expectations and fit within my budget. Jacquelyn really saved the day and I really am thankful that she could work with me on such a special occasion. I have recommended her to many brides in the area and would recommend her to you, as well!

I had a very negative experience with this wedding vendor. After waiting over 6 months to get album…read moreproofs, I tried for 6 weeks to get in touch with her to find out the status, and finally I had to write a displeased email to her assistant to get any response at all. It's like she takes your money, then disappears down the rabbit hole after the wedding. Any time estimates she gives about when to expect delivery of a product are wildly inaccurate; it has taken between 2 and 6 times as long as she said for us to get anything. She forgot to take a photo of my entire family at my wedding, even though it was on the list I gave her ahead of time. I asked her multiple times if she could photoshop a couple of pictures together to create a whole family photo, and she never responded. Every time we ordered prints, our order was either missing photos, or we got someone else's photos. When I tried to tell her that we got another couple's photos, she replied, "you know me, I like to throw in extras." Extra photos of someone else's wedding? Why would I want that? She obviously didn't even read the message. She makes it very difficult to meet with her in person and will only do so during very limited hours on weekdays. If you have a full time job, you will find it very hard to work with her, because she will not respect your time. She always has some excuse, usually involving her personal life, for why she failed to respond or failed to deliver a product on time. It is very unprofessional. Speaking of unprofessional, the way she asks you to pay her is to give her your credit card number over her cell phone. The card number I gave her was stolen within 24 hours and used for fraudulent charges. What kind of business doesn't offer a secure method of payment? When I finally got my album proofs (months after I submitted my photo choices to her), I was pretty sure that the pictures were not the ones I picked. Since she had revoked my online access to photos months before, I had no way of checking, and I decided it wasn't worth the monumental effort it would have taken to discuss this with her. Of course, she'd be happy to reinstate access to the photos for over $200 per month. When I met with her in her home studio, I saw books on the shelves about making lots of money. She definitely acts like this is her main priority. She charges $5-10K for a wedding and requires half up front to book, with the other half due at the wedding, but feels no obligation to respond to your phone calls or emails after she has all of your money. Her customer service is nonexistent. She just doesn't seem to understand the concept. At least the photos are nice, but like someone else said, it just turns my stomach to think of the enormous hassle it has been to deal with her.

Caroline easily combines her professionalism with her fun-spirited personality to make you and your guests feel comfortable and happy during pictues. Overall, Caroline was better than I could've ever hoped for in a photographer. She captured all of the pictures that I wanted and more. *And a bonus: by the middle of the reception, she put up a digital picture frame at the bar with photos that were taken earlier in the night. By the next morning, Caroline had already edited and posted a good amount of pictures on facebook! All of my pictures turned out absolutely stunning- and I have not stopped receiving compliments on the photos even over a month after the wedding. We have spoken several times in the past month since my wedding, and I even received a special thank you for a referral that she received due to the gorgeous pictures that a new bride saw from my wedding! I know my decision for my album pictures and large prints will be difficult b/c I have so many beautiful pictures to choose form! You will not go wrong with Caroline- she is the best!
