AWFUL experience at my wedding reception…read more - I was told ONE DAY before my reception that another decorator (Fatima) will be coming to do decorations, while I had been in contact with Aziz the entire time prior. It is ok if another decorator is coming, but I would have appreciated it if someone would have told me ahead of time, and not the day before. - When I got to the reception, Fatima had set up the stage and left already. She did not light up the candles that was discussed earlier. When I called to ask where she was, I was told that it is Venue's responsibility. It was not communicated to me or any of the venue staff. I found this out 1 hour before my event. When I called Fatima, it was rather a cold response and told us that owner would call us back shortly. I never got that phone call. - The decorative chairs and rug at the stage were filthy dirty. Got a couple of comments from the guests, which was not nice to hear during my reception. I am writing this review so that no one else has to go through the unprofessionalism and stress like we did. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend using divine decor. They were difficult to approach to begin with, and the last minute stress did not help at all. UPDATE - The owner reached out and was very apologetic. He offered monetary compensation.

Within the first 15 minutes, we knew our event would be in talented, capable hands. She came armed with her color-coded planner and a zipper pouch of pens and pencils. Her attention was riveted on our every response to her probing questions regarding what we wanted our event to be. Clearly she was extremely organized and obviously she cared. We couldn't sign the contract fast enough, so no one else could book her for our date. It was one of the best decisions we've ever made. We cannot say enough about the magic Elizabeth performed to make our celebration, in the words of many of our guests, "the best event I've ever attended." Her monthly reminder lists were invaluable in keeping us on track. She was absolutely unflappable and completely calm, even when we made major changes, like the time of the event and the venue. She just congenially accommodated our requests and "fixed" everything we had disrupted. She truly wanted this to be our dream event. Some of the best elements of the celebration would not have been possible without Elizabeth's guidance and assistance. There were things the day of the wedding that did get missed. The usher boutonnieres were forgotten, the refreshment stand did not get put up, and the planner was not present for 2 hours of set up the morning of the wedding (my husband and I did it). Many family members commented to me that the rehearsal seemed very unorganized. However, these are just small details that no one really cares about. Overall, the wedding turned out great.
