Apparently the acupuncture session of about 30 min was $100 and the two herbal medicines $44. Pauline is amazing! I had had a sore back for a few days and didn't pay much attention to it until it started spasming as I was going to bed one night... I had a restless night and by the morning, I could hardly move. After trying some western medicine and a couple of hours of the intense pain, I asked a friend for a recommendation and decided to give some Traditional Chinese Medicine a try for the first time. I have had right groin area pain since April, 2018. I attended my PCP in April, 2019 and was told by him(a Western MD that I have been attending for 15 years) that I had "degenerative changes" as I had turned age 59 in Jan 2018. Something has happened to me that is kind of unbelievable but I feel so blessed that I found it. Im talking about the Chinese Traditional Therapeutic Center. I have been fighting with physical limitations of my left side for 22 years. Friday February 13th of 1993 I was involved in a motorcycle accident in Rocky Point Mexico that left me in a coma for 7 weeks. Because of this accident it left me with a weaker left side especially my shoulder. The other obstacle was that my range of motion of my arm was very lacking! As a Chinese original I always hold a high regard to Chinese traditional ways of therapy yet it is also true that finding a doctor who is good at those is difficult not to mention outside of China. Dr. Chou and his wife Pauline never cease to impress me with their knowledge and care. I went to see Drs. Chou at The Way for help in relieving symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, IBS. I did not want to use Western Medicine with all of the blind tests they sometimes run. I have experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture previously, and felt that TCM could help solve my problem better. After 6 acupuncture treatments, kidney pills, and some auricular acupuncture, I can confess that my symptoms have greatly subsided, so much so that I feel that I am back to "normal". Am I cured? It is 1 month since my last treatment and symptoms have not returned. Hard to tell at this point, but I feel much better. Drs. Chou are both very knowledgeable, kind, and very compassionate. Hello, I should not be able to write this today, i should not be able to write at all or walk or breathe, and i would not be able to without the excellent care and guidance of my physician Dr. Pauline Chow TCM Dr. LAc.MAM . She saved my life not once but at least three times or more. I had strange symptoms my whole life and then one day, July 19, 2004, i woke up with a giant tumor that went from my upper left jaw down my neck into my shoulder and under my arm i had lockjaw my tongue was swelling up and my breathing passages were nearly closed. The emergency room Dr.s said i was approx. 2 hrs from death. The next day i had some teeth removed and seemed like i was better but the infection wouldnt go away. Thus began my eight year journey thru the Halls of Medicine. Western medicine. A journey which would not end in success. Basically they were only able to take the infection down to a certain point and then it would come back stronger each time, plus i had no immune system and would catch whatever was in the air. So by the spring of 2012 i was in dire straights, the infection had come back with a vengeance i had a giant like eight inches around black sore on my left side and various other symptoms too bad to describe like accelerated heart rate, dizziness etc. I had a decision to make either start down the halls of medicine again.... or i could try a Chinese Dr. whom i had heard was pretty good. I chose the latter. Thank God and Thank you Pauline!!! The last three and a half years have not been easy by any means but Dr. Pauline Chow has taken me from being a person who was basically bed-ridden and in a lot of pain to a point now where i feel better than i ever have and have a life.
