If you're staying here, I would recommend not just using it as a place to sleep - try to actually indulge in all the amenities they have to offer. Did I mention the freshly baked cookies at 7 PM? Our room had a fireplace with an ocean view. We were able to enjoy our wine in our private patio and even got the cutest thermos set to take home! The breakfast in bed was delightful. It was on time and fresh. Food was just okay, but the daily special (French toast) hit the mark. Great for anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine's Day or any other celebration!

After some research online, we selected the Cypress Inn for our one night in town. From the moment we walked in, Zachary, the Inn manager was beyond accommodating. Fortunately for us, the La Luna room with a full ocean view was available, so that's where we landed. From the charming accommodations and decorations, to the lovely happy hour with wine and hors d'oeuvres, and absolutely delicious breakfast served in our room, we could not have been more pampered and delighted by our choice! If you are fortunate enough to be traveling through this spectacular part of the California coast, please take the time to discover the staff and accommodations at the Cypress Inn, they will not disappoint.

This hotel is walking distance to a few restaurants by utilizing the walking path along the water. The only negative about our stay was the temperature in the room. It was very warm (even in March) and since there is no air conditioning we were forced to keep the back door open and bugs were coming in from the crack of the screen door. My husband had just passed away and we needed a little getaway. This was the perfect destination that soothed our souls. The Seals are within walking distance to view! The ocean is literally within steps of this cozy, beautiful inn. Hiking trails all around within walking distance! They let us use comfy bikes everyday which we took advantage of and biked to Half Moon Bay and a few ocean view restaurants. This is a beautiful and clean Bed and Breakfast! We had a gorgeous view of the English Garden from our spacious room. The daily breakfast included fresh berries, egg and cheese, fresh croissant and granola! The unlimited European lattes added a nice touch! We felt so spoiled with the homemade cookies in the afternoon and the free wine tasting in the evening around five. The entire staff was so friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. My daughter and I look forward to returning! Absolutely a hidden gem!

We didn't have any reservations and as we got closer to our destination, found this quaint B&B and decided to stop and check it out, even though I found a room on a 3rd party site. It was almost 8pm so the inn keeper wasn't on site but there is an intercom and a number to call for these situations. Sandra was very helpful and honored the price I had found on another site. Lucky us - the last room available was their Nantucket Suite! Check in was a breeze and Sandra walked me through the grounds via telephone, letting me know there was complimentary wine and cookies and also a hot breakfast served direct to our room in the morning. I loved our room! It was spacious and light, tastefully decorated and exactly what was needed after a few days on the road it also had a jacuzzi tub which I took full advantage of. Plush pink robes were provided as well. There is a coffee maker in the room, along with some complimentary water and some basic amenities such as :mini fridge, microwave, wine glasses, etc. a perfect place to stay for a few days even though we were only there for the night. The bed was a King sized and super comfortable; it had the perfect amount of blankets to cozy up in. Breakfast was brought at 9:20 (I chose the 9:30 slot so perfect timing) and consisted of scrambled eggs with chives, toasted English muffin with butter and jam, sausage and a variety of fruit, along with a cup of orange juice. A perfect way to start the day! We had a great night here and I highly recommend this Inn to anyone staying in the area. We were able to open our sliding door all night to enjoy the fresh air, and sea sounds. We received a nice touch with a nice note to say "Happy Anniversary!" with a bottle of wine, Hess Cab. Thanks Veronica or Victoria! Our room was very clean and it was impeccably clean. The sea decor was nice touch to the room. I loved the Aveda products to complement the experience which was nice. The front of house staff were very nice and welcoming and answered all our questions. Now on to the less desirable part of our experience..... As we decided at the end night to grab a cocktail to take back to the room, this is where it went bad! To provide the full picture, there were 3 ppl at the bar, enjoying their drinks. One table in the far back that a server was helping. I asked for a mojito only to be greeted with, "ya that's not gonna happen! We don't make those here!" A simple, "I'm so sorry unfortunately we do not have the ingredients to make those here as we have a limited ingredient list." Would have been appropriate. A smart mouth comment does not elude customer service. If you don't like to work in the industry, find a new job!! Our drinks were subpar, and a lesson in customer service could go a long way. I would start with the basics. Even simply asking my husband if he would like to upgrade his spirit in his cocktail vs just quickly pouring and slamming a drink down. I strongly recommend your team reading "Unreasonable Hospitality!" It may make you think about how you made a lasting impression. For me it made me feel like I never want to come back. And, yes, I work in the hospitality industry so this was unacceptable! Do better! This is how one bad experience can make the lasting impression! UPDATE 7/29 I want to call out the Hotel Manager, Cecilio Reyes, for his "Unreasonable Hospitality"! He called me immediately to better understand the feedback that was provided. He went out of his way to pick up the phone and listen to what I had to say. This means more to me than a $10 drink at the bar. This in fact it shows that they truly about doing the right thing to ensure they keep a customer. You have no idea how this small act sends a message to your guests. I hope your leadership sees this to see how you truly elude unreasonable hospitality and ensuring that your customers return. My issue was not for anything other than. ensuring that others learn from the impact it could have on someone. Thank you, Cecilio Reyes, for your professionalism and attention to this situation that is now taken as a learning opportunity. I will be sure to ask for you the next time I book directly with your hotel!

Sitah and Dale (the owners) and their staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their affable mien, as well as their superb culinary skills, made our stay memorable and deeply satisfying. We chose the East Room. It is lovingly decorated, spacious, and well-furnished. The queen size bed, desks, sofa, mini-fridge, and heater that warms up the toilet seat provide just about all of the creature comforts one needs. The room also has a fire stove to delight the pyromaniacs and a huge, deep stone soaker tub that can easily accommodate two sumo wrestlers (or half a dozen jockeys). A couple of things to note: (1) There's no cell phone reception (at least not T-Mobile or Sprint). But there is free WiFi. (2) While the windows and skylights may infuse the room with a bright and cheery feel, they may make it hard for you to sleep in late. So don't forget to pack your sleep mask.

I am so delighted to now say that Sitah and Dale made the most special day of my life a total dream. After searching up and down the California coast for a place to get married that felt "right", I was feeling pretty disheartened and was ready to throw in the towel. But, on a whim, we decided to take a trek to Bonny Doon on our way to another venue location and I happened upon the Redwood Croft for a potential place for out of town guests to stay. And wouldn't you know it, they mentioned they host events on their website! My now husband and I took a day and drove down the coast from San Mateo and stopped in to chat with Sitah about her home. The place was (is!) stunning and from the moment we set foot on the grounds, we knew it was the perfect place to get married. Sitah and Dale charge a reasonable amount for the 2 night rental of their whole B&B, plus having nearly 100 people on-site for a wedding! It was so magical to spend the night there before the wedding, then to wake up and eat Sitah's homemade blueberry pancakes (which she made a batch gluten free for me! So amazing!) and spend the rest of the day primping and relaxing before we said "I do!" on their beautiful back lawn and garden. They made everything go so smoothly and they opened their home to my family for the weekend -- it made the wedding weekend just sublime. Before we had our big day, the hub and I spent an impromptu overnighter at the Croft, just to get a feel for it. Our night was peaceful (we stayed in the East Room) and I can't wait to go back now and spend special weekends and anniversaries there. Thank you, Sitah and Dale, for making our day a true piece of romance. Our memories will be sweet and our life will be grand and you had a hand in making that come true for us!
