He gave a thorough and helpful explanation of how everything would work and encouraged us to ask questions at any point. The experience was very interactive, we were texting back and forth with the hosts throughout the hunt, sending pictures, asking questions, and submitting answers. They were extremely responsive and accommodating. It's clear they are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, which really adds to the experience. The scavenger hunt itself was fun, engaging, and packed with interesting stories, and we loved that it's designed to go at your own pace. We took our time, even stopping for drinks along the way, which made it even more enjoyable. It's a fantastic way to explore the full downtown area, get some steps in, and experience the city in a unique way. We're already looking forward to the future app/online version and would love to see this come to Savannah, GA!

It's a great neighborhood to raise a family and is very kid friendly. Each little 'neighborhood' within the gates of Sawgrass has it's own charm & style. Young families raising toddlers. For the active members, they have a pool, tennis courts and a couple golf courses. Including the famous TPC Tournament course. . The security guards are friendly and do a good job at remembering faces when you're there as often as I am. And don't worry - just because they have security guards does not mean that it's all mansions and unaffordable dreams. They have a variety of styles & houses to suit even the modest budget.

For a $3 entry fee, you could just drop by for a couple hours and feel like you got your money's worth. The festival took place at Francis Field on Castillo Drive and it was a beautiful weekend. Upon entering it was quite obvious this wasn't their first time at this rodeo. I'll definitely have to keep my eyes open for next years festivities. Multiple food & beverage tents. A HUGE kids area. Covered seating with stage. And lots of vendors. We made a beeline for the Kouzina and I opted for a scoop of pastitsio (Greek Lasagna) and mousaka. Both baked dishes were delicious and I could eaten another plate. In the adult beverage tent, they offered Metaxa (Greek brandy) & Ouzo. I opted for the lemonada with Metaxa, while my husband got the ouzo. We sucked those babies down so fast and quickly realized it was a good thing we WEREN'T there all day. The Loukoumades (Greek donut holes) were a nice end to our quick sojourn. Parking is available in the garage ($12) next door, or you can find parking on the streets. If you're going to spend all day around 'old city' St. Aug, $12 isn't a bad deal, but we opted to find a free spot in the surrounding neighborhood.

This well done little museum tells the fascinating story of the Sisters of St. Joseph in St…read more Augustine. Arriving here from France, they came to teach the children of newly freed slaves. By the time you reach the 3rd floor attic living quarters you are in awe of all they accomplished in so short a time with harsh conditions and little resources! If you liked the movie "Cabrini" you will find a similar impressive story here. With humility, great teamwork and faith, women religious had an immense impact on their communities. Just like the priests and friars. Highly recommend for a mind-opening experience!

The Father Miguel O'Reilly House Museum is located a few doors down from the Ximenez-Fatio Boarding…read moreHouse Museum. The home has significant historic value, as it is one of the oldest structures in St. Augustine. Shortly after Fr. Miguel O'Reilly, an Irish priest in the service of the Spanish crown, bought the property in 1785 at the beginning of the Second Spanish Period, it became the parish rectory. If you're Cuban, surely you've heard of Fr. Félix Varela, a man who fought tirelessly for Cuban independence. It was in this house that Father Miguel O'Reilly privately taught him, as a student, and he went on to become a defender of human and civil rights. Since 1866, the guardians of this sacred and historic space have been the Sisters of St. Joseph. You will see paintings and artifacts related to the Roman Catholic faith represented in this home, now serving as a museum. While it was fascinating to look at all these things (and the free admission was great), it was not so great to have a nun watching you intently from her chair the moment you walked in. Her eyes followed us everywhere, as she suspiciously looked us down. To say my friend and I felt uncomfortable would be an understatement. There was nothing welcoming or friendly about her presence. Our tour guide (or perhaps, watchdog is the most appropriate term) was a pre-teen boy, who followed us everywhere. He was not very knowledgeable and unable to answer questions, which is expected due to his age, but why he was appointed to that position in the first place was incomprehensible.

As I drove to the amphitheater, my taste buds were in full force. Upon arriving, I was struck by how small the parking lot was and the swarm of cars that were looking for a spot. Folks were hungry! After spending about 45 minutes looking for parking, I was finally ready to check out the vendors. About 30 food establishment booths were set up on the concourse with food ranging from corn dogs to Spanish pork. I bought some tickets and I was ready to taste. I started with the coconut curry shrimp from The Reef, then on to Luli's Cupcakes for a red velvet mini cupcake. Then, I picked up a piece of chocolate cake from The Fudge Lady, a steak and stout pie from Meehan's Irish Pub and Backyard, followed by a sweet tea to wash all the food down from Fusion Tide Tea. I needed to take a break from eating so we went to listen to the bands play for a bit and bask in the sun. After an enjoyable hiatus, I was ready to tackle the tight quarters of the concourse and the crowd to sample a few more things. I grabbed a piece of pizza and I picked up the crab chowder from Crispers and the banana-strawberry delight from Barnacle Bills Seafood House. The small portions for varying numbers of tickets, which were each a dollar, were perfect for tasting some of the best dishes that the restaurants had to offer. After a few hours, I was spent! Good food, good music and good company made for a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
