He gave a thorough and helpful explanation of how everything would work and encouraged us to ask questions at any point. The experience was very interactive, we were texting back and forth with the hosts throughout the hunt, sending pictures, asking questions, and submitting answers. They were extremely responsive and accommodating. It's clear they are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, which really adds to the experience. The scavenger hunt itself was fun, engaging, and packed with interesting stories, and we loved that it's designed to go at your own pace. We took our time, even stopping for drinks along the way, which made it even more enjoyable. It's a fantastic way to explore the full downtown area, get some steps in, and experience the city in a unique way. We're already looking forward to the future app/online version and would love to see this come to Savannah, GA!

Even though we bought tickets online before the trip, we still had to wait in long lines due to the popularity of the trolley rides. The lines seemed to go fairly quickly but it did take almost an hour on 12/22/24 before we got on this trolley that does the Nights of Lights. Luckily, there are benches for those who cannot stand for very long. They also have yellow step stools and a strong man to help you climb up a couple of feet into the trolley. I was one of them due to knee problems so I am very appreciative to Old Town for the assistance on and off. The ride is so much fun!! The driver was hilarious, told great stories, and we all got to sing Christmas songs along with the loud music! When another trolley approached, we all cheered each other. We all felt like kids again. Christmas Spirit galore!! We saw all the 3 million lights on George street to our hearts content. I think it was like a 45 minute ride! I was ready to go again but it was so cold that we didn't. After the ride, we were treated to complimentary hot apple cider and a small cookie. There is a parking lot to leave your car. I believe it was $15. It was about a block plus to walk. It was a nice, well lit safe place. We would return to do this trolley ride again!

Little did I know there was a military museum even here. It's small, but has so much to offer in way of history. There are sections of each military war from U.S. history. Each section has uniformed mannequins with real photos and paraphernalia from the era. There is also a war medical M.A.S.H. section. On this day they had actors in Russian, German and American regalia on the "battlefield ", giving History lessons of different wars. The information was deep and they made it interesting with the tools of war, tanks, bunkers and communications devices. On the Jeep side( why I went), several old jeeps were on show and several vendors set up to sell old Jeep parts. It was a beautiful thing.#itsajeepthing. We were entertained by stories of the history of the house, the inhabitants and the culture surrounding the many years slaves and then free black men and women lived.. it was fascinating how well they ate! We got to sample some of the food that they would have grown themselves and some that they traded with sailors as they came onto shore. They sell waters there but I recommend bringing your own water bottle because it gets hot. The house is 2 levels and you can scan a QR code or use one of their devices to do a self guided tour with a narration through each room. It was a very hot day so I went through the site pretty quickly. It was amazing to see very old things that have been preserved and just how they utilized what they had way back then. Each room was staged with many layers and cool pieces. If you follow the audio it can go by slower but you can read through it instead. It was quite fascinating and not very busy on that particular day.
