I have been using The Watershed since I began working nearby nearly two years ago, primarily for our C-suite team and visiting remote employees. The property is beautifully maintained, and the owners have done an exceptional job with the renovation, thoughtfully extending a warm, inviting atmosphere from the outdoors into the interior spaces. The staff is consistently friendly, accommodating, and attentive, always ensuring our needs are met with care and professionalism. Onsite restaurant Siena is a standout and never disappoints--offering flavorful, well-executed dishes in a welcoming setting with excellent service and a warm ambiance. While full breakfast service is not offered, a light continental breakfast is available, along with complimentary all-day coffee, which adds a thoughtful touch to the overall guest experience. The best: I don't think I've ever actually slept in a hotel room before. The best I could say before the Watershed was that I had a comfortable night. I SLEPT at the Watershed, which for those of you who travel for business will be able to appreciate. The cons: room service was awful. They share property with Siena, which I honestly thought would be amazing, and it was so not. I felt like I'd ordered from Uber Eats. $60 dollars later, got a paper bag with plastic everything. It was beyond disappointing. Another con: they offer complimentary breakfast, which yay, but it wasn't what I expected. This may well be a me thing, but every single hotel I've stayed in for years that promotes breakfast has a full hot breakfast...eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. The Warershed doesn't. It was continental, bagels, muffins, yogurt, etc. NOT bad per se; sharing this for anyone else who may have different expectations when they hear that a complimentary breakfast is being provided...If you are looking for a hot breakfast, skip the complimentary breakfast at the hotel and check out one of the local venues. In short, if you want a comfortable, great night's sleep, this is your hotel. Just don't plan to eat here. read more

Five stars for its category - not 5 stars like a Ritz or For Seasons, etc. It's a fantastic hotel centrally located to so much. I've stayed at this spot since Covid. I've always liked it and it keeps improving. There are thoughtful touches all around and the decor is lovely. You definitely feel like you can rest your head safely and soundly. I also love that it's in walking distance to one of the best bakeries anywhere. Oh, I really like the Grace Farms coffee and tea. I didn't realize they made them but love local businesses supporting other local businesses. Siena, the restaurant on site is excellent. Do agree with the other reviewer who said the heating / cooling system isn't the best. It was so hard to change the temperature. Not the best thermostats at all. read more

The Watershed is a beautifully renovated hotel (formerly Hotel Zero Degrees) with lots of attention to detail and design. The soothing wood and earth tones are both inviting and relaxing. The lobby feels more like a living room with comfy sofas, and window-side chairs and tables. The hotel sits on the banks of the Norwalk River, and there is a view of it from the lobby, some guest rooms, and the adjoining Sienna Italian Restaurant. There is also a beautiful rooftop terrace with loungers, sofas, and cabanas. Although there is a bar space, unfortunately, it is not open except for private events. The front desk staff and everyone else who I encountered throughout my stay were very friendly and accommodating. I stayed in a superior king room that included a chaise lounger as well as a desk area. The whole room looked clean and freshly renovated. The bathroom had a beautiful, spacious marble shower with Malin+Goetz toiletries! Grace Farms local teas are complimentary, but there is a French press coffee service option that can be arranged for a fee. When I read reviews of this property prior to booking, some people complained about hearing trains go by or doors slamming. I typically travel with earplugs so that my sleep is not disturbed, so noise was not an issue for me. Overall, I had a wonderful stay, and will definitely book this hotel again when I plan to be in the area. read more

When I called this hotel to make a reservation, the woman who answered was extremely helpful, polite, and her smile was transmitted along with her friendly voice. The check-in was breezy, professional, and welcoming. The spacious superior king was absolutely spotless and very well decorated. I really like the lamps that have dimmer switches. OM Gosh, the shower was like going to a spa. We chose a river view room, and the train didn't bother us, because the last one was half past midnight. We slept through the morning train, and I enjoyed seeing the subsequent trains pass by from the breakfast room's window wall. Having stayed at a sibling motel that had really good bagels, I was disappointed with the supermarket quality of the baked goods here. read more

just now My husband and I stayed for one night. I loved it. There were a couple of cons but mostly pros. I'll keep this review super honest. First of all the location is so convenient. It's literally right off the highway. The area seemed safe and secure no problems there. Checking in was very easy. The ladies at the front desk were very warm and welcoming, super friendly. The lobby and common areas were immaculate and beautifully decorated. We booked a King studio on the Riverview side of the hotel. The room was very clean, gorgeous, simple and quaint. The view of the river is so peaceful, but here comes the cons and my recommendation to decide on the trade-off. What I mean by that is you can hear everything that goes on upstairs if you are not on the top floor and your experience can be affected by whoever might be staying in that room and how much they move around and if you're unlucky yours will walk around until 3 o'clock in the morning like our neighbors did. Of course I didn't complain because it is at no fault of the hotels and honestly not even the people staying above me because they were simply just walking around their room, but it's something to note. It could be because there are no carpets in the room, the sound travels. After reading other reviews and the response from the general manager, she suggested so I'll pass along that information, that if you would like a more quiet stay to request a street view room. Now I don't know if the street view is just less busy and that's why it's more quiet but nonetheless, it's worth asking for. So the trade-off would be either a Riverview or quiet and a street view. Other than that, our stay was very nice. It is currently winter so I didn't have a chance to look at the rooftop patio or any of the outside amenities, but I would like to return. Also, it's worth noting that this bed was the most comfortable bed out of any hotel I have ever stayed in and the pillows... I would seriously consider taking a couple and letting them charge me because I cannot find them online anywhere lol. read more

This could've been much better. There was no coffee maker in the room, no hairdryer in the room, no security lock on the room door. Security was a concern. The door between my room and the one next-door had a key lock. No security lock on it. That made me nervous. Finally, not enough plugs by the debt nor at the desk. Come on guys. It's 2025. $450 for a two star, bare minimum hotel. Good restaurant. Barely acceptable room for the price. On a very busy, unattractive location. Rooms are BELOW the level of a residence inn. Small, cheap finishes and zero amenities. Horrible "free breakfast" cheap yogurt and bad bagels...and to top it off, the air conditioning does not go below 73 in the middle of July. And it totally shuts down after midnight. We woke up in the AM after a poor sleep due to heat in room and it was 75 degrees in the room. Windows do not even open. Skip this place. Renovated lobby looks great. Staff was fine. Rooms were mostly clean but dusty. However, if you care about any of the following, you may want to look elsewhere: Climate control - you may not be able to sleep with AC units that sound like a motorcycle in your room Shower water pressure - very weak Breakfast - lukewarm coffee and an apple (or pear) Cost - way overpriced for a hotel in a less than desirable neighborhood that justifies the price with a cosmetic renovation that left details overlooked read more

I stayed at The Watershed with a group for a wedding and had a great experience! They were extremely accommodating with an early check-in and a late check-out with no additional fees, which took so much stress out of the day. It is a nice, newly renovated building and was very clean. If you are booking as part of a group, just be warned that sometimes their website is tricky. It showed no availability online but when I called rooms in the block were still available. After that, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay! read more
