I signed on with the Water Guy over the summer so that I didn't use so much plastic by buying so many gallon containers of water from the supermarket. I was very pleasantly surprised when I tasted how much better the Water Guy's water was than the spring water we were getting from the supermarket. Now, however, since Crystal Spring has taken over the water doesn't taste as good. Crystal Spring confirmed they are now getting their water from NJ. Water Guy had told me their water came from Pennsylvania. Crystal Spring is to call me back within 48 hours to tell me if I can get the water from the same PA spring that the Water Guy used. Also, Crystal Springs delivered 2 gallons of water the other day. It was the wrong amount at the wrong time. We had to call to straighten out the quantity and the schedule. We were told the change was due to the buyout. No doubt. read more

Ok, I have to say that we have decided to give the Water Guy another chance. We have been back with them for a few months now, and no issues. I feel bad for the bad review previously, but I was just upset that we didn't get our deliveries. They even called me when I forgot to put my bottles out, and my husband works in the bldg. so he was able to quickly grab them. read more

I'm very disappointed. I get a delivery once a month but this month (December) instead of the four 5 gallon jugs , I got eight 2 gallon jugs !! Well I have a water cooler that fills from the bottom so I can't use the 2 gallon jugs. Now I'm charged $12.50 more for their mistake and I have to wait another week to get them exchanged !! Poor service. If you ran out of the five gallon jugs, then someone isn't doing their job!!! If it's because of the holiday and people ordered extra, then you accommodate the regularly scheduled customers first then the extra bottles. read more

People are on here saying how Crystal Water tastes bad. There is arsenic in Crystal Water. There is a Consumer Report magazine that has an article all about the water brands that have high arsenic levels. I recommended going to your local library and looking for it. read more

I set up service on their website and there was no mention of any 2-year contract. I got a call from their customer service telling me that in order to start my water contract they would need me to sign a mandatory 2-year service agreement. If I were to break the agreement, I would be responsible for paying the difference in price of breaking the agreement. After politely refusing and requesting to cancel, I received a callback within 1 minute. The representative told me that "her manager would offer me a 1-year service agreement." I refused. No other water service that I have had does this. I will stick with my original service and I will not enter into a service contract. Try offering up-front terms and don't force service agreements and I will consider using this service. read more

I really liked The Water Guy, a family operated business. They were not perfect, but they did fine, and their Water was the best tasting! They were bought out by Crystal Springs recently and I asked the delivery person if the water was different. He said he tasted it and it tasted the same; he said the spring it comes from was near The Water Guys Spring. I can't verify that yet, but the water is not the same. I get a very slight aftertaste in the back of my mouth and the initial taste has a slightly chalky taste at room temperature. Not the same as The Water Guy's original water! Needless to say, I am not happy and will probably start looking elsewhere for my 5 gal. delivered spring water! read more

I LOVED the Water Guy prior to their being taken over by Crystal Springs. Our delivery guy Kurt was amazing and always provided us with exactly what we needed- Water! Towards the end they got a little bonkers- delivering the wrong amount, charging me deposits on the bottles I did not request. I should note this was with a new delivery guy and not Kurt. Now that Crystal Springs has assumed service I have been without water. 6 empty bottles, an empty cooler, and no water for over a week with empty promises and no delivery. Even after being promised by the customer service rep Michelle that the delivery guy texted and "was on his way" we have nothing. Spoke today with a customer service rep named Erika and she assured me that the cooler and bottles would be picked up and I would be reimbursed for having to buy water for the week. We shall see.... All in all this take over is a huge disappointment. read more

I have been getting Spring Water delivered from the Water Guy for about 25 years. I can say that they are the best. We live by the Schuylkill River in West Norriton, and they have to park before the bridge that leads to our community, They then hand-truck 3 bottles of (5 gallon) water about 300 feet and then carry it up 2 flights of steps. They are always on time and very quiet because they deliver rather early in the morning. If there any issue with a bottle leaking or anything like that they will deliver a replacement when they are in the area, which is fine for us since we still have 2 other bottles. I love these guys. They are wonderful, and their water is too. read more

I have not been happy with the service I received from this company. They give me extra water which I dont request and expect me to pay for it, I ran out of water and they wanted an extra $20 for rush delivery when their website said it would be delivered on a specific date no one showed up. Finally I closed my account with them and they sent me an invoice for .98 cents seriously? Horrible customer service. read more

I went onto the website for this company on January 8 in order to set up Water delivery service for my home on January 25, 2019. I had to call the company and speak with customer service to see how frequently they deliver the water to the house. Many companies deliver as frequently as two weeks. This company only delivers once per month. This then, affects the quality of the product being delivered. I set up the account, I typed in all information that was requested, and confirm the order. What came back was that the delivery date was scheduled for January 8, 2019. I called the company at that point and was transferred to the billing department or representative who indicated that the website defaults to that particular date since it is the date that I set the account up Water itself would actually be delivered on January 25. The website specifically indicates that all charges for the services occur after the receipt of the shipments. The representative also confirms my billing information address and email address or account purposes. At that point, it was the end of the call and we hung up. Later that night I went onto my charge account that I used for billing purposes and found that this company already billed me for The charges of the first shipment. This is causes a problem on that account. I contacted the billing department on January 9 around 9 AM in the morning. The representative could not explain why I was billed for the shipment since it was not scheduled to be sent out until January 25. I spoke to a supposed billing manager who indicated that they charge the account at the onset of the initial set up of the account. At no point on the website are you notified that you would be billed immediately and all charges would be sitting on your account pending until the first delivery. She indicated that this is what their company does. She also indicated that there would be a seven dollar deposit for the deposit fee for the number of bottles ordered for delivery. This will also be charged immediately. Still in my case, I would be billed more than $100 before even receiving the water. When I asked for this to be canceled I was told that the entire account needed to be canceled and when I asked to speak to a higher manager I was told "this is far as you're going. This company obviously does not believe in customer service and up front integrity. To think that there is no one higher in an organization than a billing supervisor or manager is totally ridiculous. A consumer has the right to speak to someone higher than to be told that this is as far as you're going to go. I do not recommend doing business with this organization at all. I will, however, attempt to arrange delivery again on January 25 and will give them An opportunity to redeem themselves. I will not be making any phone calls and if there are any problems associated with the reinstatement of the account, I Will update this review at that time. read more

See my comment to Audrey K. (who is an excellent service rep) from WG below. We have resolved the issue for now. Predatory late fees and deliveries despite requests to the contrary are my issue. I have patronized this company for a few years. Apparently, they bought Great Bear which I liked very much. I have had a rocky relationship with them. The last predatory late fee (a few days late on 5/31/2018 for a recent delivery) for $20 on a $36 invoice was the straw that broke this consumer's back. I am ending service with them. I may inform Consumer Affairs or what is left of it of their predatory practices. I am a law professor. I will check federal and state charges on revolving charges and predatory practices. read more

We selected The Water Guys for our office water delivery and have had issues from the start. They regularly skip delivery days and when I contact them - I'm told that the delivery driver was unable to find parking. Our office is located in center city Philadelphia (where businesses on our street receive deliveries every single day) if this company is unable to make deliveries in the city they should not do business here. The worst part is that when there is an issue with the deliveries they don't even communicate with their customers - no call or email. Nothing. I've called and emailed multiple times and I'm told that a manager will call me back (which never happens). They are not making any attempts to fix the issues we're having. It seems they would rather just avoid us and lose our business. Avoid at all costs. read more

I'm so far confused by the negative reviews, I recently started service for our office and have had nothing but good experiences so far. Customer service is helpful and friendly, the delivery workers are pleasant and professional, our machines were installed on time, and even though I shopped around a lot, The Water Guy had the best prices. I'd give 5 stars but since we've only been using them a short time I didn't want to jump too fast. If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They are one of the biggest ripoff companies I have ever encountered, For 10 years, The Water Guy was ripping me off with secret rate increases without telling me. One day I awoke to a $130 dollar water bill for 1 month and 8 bottles of water!!! I first warned them nicely to stop increasing my rates without prior notice, and then not so nicely that I was sick of their unethical practices and please stop, but to no avail. Finally after the FIFTH TIME in 2 years, I had to take my business elsewhere, which was a shame because the only nice thing about the place was the delivery staff. When I called them to pick up the last 2 empties they informed me they would charge a pick up fee, negating half the balance. Since it's so far away I didn't return them, but now I asked a friend to return the last two bottles I had and first first they argued with him that I never had an account and they refused to refund my money even though their name was on the bottle. So I called them and gave them the account info and they said fine. So they told him to leave the bottles and they would send a refund to me. Later though they called me and informed me that they would NOT refund my money because they couldn't use the bottles!!!! So they ripped me off for a final $12!!! I guess their their client base is dwindling faster than the quality of their products since they are continuing to rip off their customers and ex-customers in every way imaginable. This is a pathetic way to do business, but not to worry. They'll probably be bankrupt within the next 2 years if they continue along this path. read more

I have used their water delivery service since 2012 for my home. I have never had any issues with delivery and/or billing. On the rare occasion that a water bottle is damaged they fix the issue immediately. The delivery person is extremely nice and polite and goes the extra mile to place the new water bottles in the right place. The cost of their service is very competitive. The only thing I do not like is their website - it's difficult to use, the web pages load like molasses, and it's poorly designed. read more

Run from this company! They are the worst! Customer service is BAD....no compassion, no results. We had a leaking bottle two months ago, 5 gallons down the wall into our new basement closet. Ruined tiles, had to dry out the closet for days, cloths all had to be rewashed. Did they care? Nope....said they were not responsible for leaking bottles. Gave us a "free" replacement. Guess what happened again today? Another leaking bottle. This one was a brand new bottle, so a lot more water, damaged our wooden pantry next to it, down the wall into the same closet. Another HUGE mess and loss of brand new ceiling tiles. Called customer service, same song and dance, we're not responsible for leaking bottles. We'll replace this one "free of charge". No apologies, no compassion. What kind of quality control do they have.....apparently NONE! Two leakers in less then two months???? We are soooo done with this company. We are so sorry Nature's Source sold their water bottle company to this one...BIG mistake. We're supposed to be reminded of deliveries via phone calls. Sometimes we get them, sometimes we don't . When we don't leave empties out because they didn't tell us they were coming, they leave whatever they feel like leaving; whether we need them or not. So done with them!
