I am a repeat customer of FloodDry and have had two great experiences - first in November 2025 and…read moresecond in June 2026. In November 2025, a faucet in an upstairs laundry room was left running (by yours truly, my bad), resulting in a flood in the laundry room that ran through the floor and into the ceiling and walls of the dining room located below the laundry room. FloodDry visited within hours of my call, gave a fair quote, and started the next day. They isolated the rooms with plastic sheeting, put protective paper lining on the floors, and then removed the wet drywall and baseboards in the laundry room and the wet drywall in the ceiling and walls of the dining room. They used their sensors and experience to identify what was wet and how much drywall to remove. Then, they deployed fans and dryers to fully dry the wet walls and rooms. Three days later, both rooms were completely dry. They then removed all of the plastic sheeting and floor paper and swept and vacuumed until the rooms were spic and span clean. Terrific job all around - done professionally and for a fair price. In June 2026, we noticed some strange discoloration and water stains in the ceiling of a downstairs room located below an upstairs bathroom. First call I made was to FloodDry. By 5PM the same day, I had a quote and the next day work started. The FloodDry team - the same two fellows who had done the work in November 2025 - removed the ceiling in the downstairs room. Worst nightmare: It was a leaking toilet in the upstairs bathroom and the discoloration was mildew (and a lot worse stuff) that had deposited on the ceiling of the downstairs room. FloodDry's first task was to fully remove all of the affected ceiling drywall and crown molding and clean the affected ceiling areas. Then, FloodDry referred me to plumbers, who arrived on short notice and fixed the toilet leak by installing a new toilet mounting plate in the upstairs bathroom and installing new sewage lines below the toilet in the ceiling of the downstairs room. Once the plumbing work was done, the FloodDry team returned and re-cleaned the affected areas in the ceiling of the downstairs room. Next, they installed fans and dryers in the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs room to completely dry the affected areas. They checked the progress over the next few days and by day four everything was dry. Again, FloodDry did a great job cleaning the two rooms once the drying was complete. Finally, FloodDry referred me to a drywall contractor, who replaced the ceiling in the downstairs room. Again, terrific work all around - done professionally and for a fair price.

They responded immediately and setup the dryers within few hours, diligently checking the progress every few days, patiently answering our questions. Kirill also helped us with the drywall repair and patch work after the water damage is resolved.

Arrived promptly, fixed the issue, but... two people arrived - the main service tech, and an…read moreapprentice (I think - he didn't talk much but he was polite). The apprentice was fine. The main service tech, we will call him Joe, was incredibly condescending. Joe was talking mainly to my husband and that's probably a good thing. We had a clog in our main line and I know it was cat food because we had a cat sitter and they dumped all the cat food down the drain and we've had this happen before. Joe was talking to my husband and said it was grease, I walked over and said no it's cat food because we don't produce a lot of grease when we eat. And then Joe said, ...do you know what restaurants produce when they cook they produce grease (Can you actually believe he said that I can't believe he said that!) . Guess what Joe? We're not a restaurant. Anyway, I walked away because I was so mad I was steaming - he was so condescending! So yes, they did get everything cleaned out, and my husband was the main point of contact - again that's probably a good thing. And when it was all over my husband said guess what Joe said, your wife was right, it was not grease. No shit Sherlock. I am so pissed. As a woman - being dismissed immediately because I'm a woman. I have a masters degree from Santa Clara University, in differentiated instruction and education. I don't know why I feel obliged to say that, but I'm not an idiot. I know what grease is - I taught science - and I know how we cook our food and I know what food we eat. I even went on to say - well, we wipe our plates with a paper towel first before we put them in the dishwasher and we put the paper towel in the garbage. Why did I feel I needed to explain everything to this guy? Grrr. I am so mad. Yes, they were available 24/7 & on a Sunday and I really appreciate that. But if there is another company out there who has human beings who are more decent, please let me know. So Roto Rooter, when you are conducting sensitivity training, let your service techs know all they have to say is, "thank you for letting me know," and then they can get on with the work. They don't have to engage in an argument with your former customer. And I don't need you to explain to me how it works, I don't need to know how the sausage is made - unless it is relevant. For example, Joe could've said ... We have a high-pressure water system and whether it's cat food, grease or Halloween candy - make it funny make it fun - we will get the job done. But no, Joe had to be a complete and total condescending prick. At the very least he could have said to me before they left I was right, he did not find any grease (I know, I told you), and not just as a passing remark to my husband. I'm so pissed right now- if I can ever not use Roto Rooter again I will.

Every single sentence from Mikes competitors was about how much worse the situation will be if we don't start fixing it by tomorrow. Mike on the other hand acknowledged the work needed to be done but actually answered our questions in full context specific to our actual needs that were physically showing at the home. Every other company just used broad generalities while showing off the work they do. Instead of trying to remedy our situation, it was more about them showing off how great they are. What we really liked about Mike is that he is an owner operator and physically goes to do the work at sites. Everyone else just makes a sales commission and then sends a crew. Mike is a representation of what a true business man should be. Educated on his trade while also educated on communication skills. It's not always about what you say but how you say it. Thank you again Mike.

He was always quick and friendly with his text message responses and keeping me up to date on his ETA. I'll definitely know who to call if I ever have another possible water damage situation in the future!

I reached out to Jim through Yelp about rebuilding the water heater platform in my garage. He wrote…read moreback fast, and the honest answer was that it wasn't his to take -- a plumber has to pull the water heater first and set it back afterward, and he wasn't going to pretend otherwise just to get a job on the calendar. That could have been the end of it. Instead he stayed on with me. I'm a first-time homebuyer and I don't know much of anything about how houses actually work. I asked him a hundred questions that had nothing to do with drywall, and he answered every one of them -- patiently, in plain language, knowing full well I wasn't going to be a paying customer. He pointed out a few things I hadn't thought to look at. Not once did he make me feel small for not knowing. You could tell he wasn't doing it for the job. He was doing it because that's who he is, and because he could tell I was a little over my head. In my experience that's rare anywhere, and rarer in the trades, where it's easy to take advantage of someone who doesn't know what they're looking at. Jim did the opposite. I haven't hired him yet -- the work I needed just wasn't his scope. But the moment I have drywall to do, Peña Drywall is the only call I'm making, and I'll be sending people his way in the meantime. Thank you, Jim!

The cost of the work was very fair compared to a couple of other quotes I received from other companies.
