NEVER use this online shop!
Service has been disgraceful. I ordered a bed on Feb 28th- the website guaranteed that the bed would arrive within 28 days. After about 9 days I hadn't heard a thing, apart from the initial confirmation email (I needed to confirm delivery date so I could book time at home to wait for it) from them so I rang up and spoke to someone called Anne- she said she would chase it up and get back to me within a day or two as she could see there had been an error and the bed still hadn't been scheduled in to be sent from warehouse in France (Anne was 'very sorry'). About 5 days later I'd heard nothing from Anne so I rang again.
This time I was told Anne was on holiday- how nice for her but she had not bothered her a**e to call me as she said she would. Several apologies later (starting to sound rather hollow by now) they told me to leave it with them and they would chase it and get back to me within 2 days (this time I did not get the person's name).
Another 5 or so days later, yep, you guessed it- nothing. No call, no bed. I called again. This time I spoke to Anne again. Once again she was 'terribly sorry' and said God knows what as I was losing track of the excuses by now, the upshot being that the damn bed STILL hadn't been sent from France. This was a few days ago now- I told Anne that this wasn't good enough and she put me on hold...when she picked up the 'phone again she said 'Oh, I found out it's just come in this afternoon!' but it sounded totally false, like she was just telling me what I wanted to hear. Still I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and she said she could have the bed to me by the end of next week however, in the same phonecall, I REPEATEDLY told Anne that I needed it before the MIDDLE of next week (this would already have been about 5 days over the supposed 28 day limit). She said 'Yes, yes, yes' and we left it at that.
Today I rang and Anne picked up again- this time she knew almost immediately who I was and proceeded to tell me how the bed wasn't here yet (AFTER TELLING ME IT HAD ARRIVED A FEE DAYS AGO). When I pulled her up on this I was presented with a raft of excuses, explaining how none of this was my fault (No sh*t, Anne- I don't need you to tell me that) but how it wasn't theirs either, it was all down to the French end because they hadn't actually loaded it onto 'the truck'...'THE truck'? Is there only ONE truck a month? And is a double bed frame SUCH a tiny object that it can easily be overlooked, not once but possibly several times? At this point Anne also reminded me that she had said she would have the bed to me by the end of next week...I reminded her that I had told her on our last call that I needed it by the middle of next week, NOT the end of next week- she seemed to have forgotten this.
At no point was I offered any kind of discount or anything else to make up for this awful and frankly FALSE information I kept being given (anything to keep the moaning customer quiet, right? Only I am really not so stupid that I will just keep on being fobbed off). The final outcome of all this is that she has agreed to refund my money today. I have wasted several hours chasing them and wasted a whole month waiting for this, when I could have just gone to IKEA and bought one off the shelf.
I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS COMPANY (and it seems the only other reviewer concurs). DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU WANT EFFICIENT, HONEST SERVICE AS YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
Considering the fact that they have to compete against huge, well established giants such as IKEA and Argos, you'd think they'd try a LOT harder. Their beds look very nice but as the real thing never actually materialised it may be that they only exist on paper.
How these people stay in business is, quite frankly, a mystery.
** UPDATE on 02-04-2014**
ONE redeeming feature has been that my refund was processed very quickly (2-3 days) and a lady called Myriam (could have been Marion) told me she'd keep abreast of it and she did, she even called me to tell me it was in my account.
So, not 100% awful but still not god enough- they have wasted a LOT of my time, which is as valuable as anyone else's, and al for nothing. read more
