As it happens, Posh has a few posh bits and a few not-so-posh bits inside. Forget the name for a moment and you can judge the clothing on its own merit. There were some really very delightful knits inside, mostly fitted lengthy cardigans, which were really very stylish. The wool was very soft and the fit of them was really quite nice. They also had one or two really unique jackets, the sort that in a vintage shop you might immediately flock to as it looks a little bit different. I was really quite interested in looking at those bits - the price was also good news, as the items were reasonably cheap. Happy days. However, not all the things inside were so great, there were lots of filler garments that whilst they balanced out the display of the nicer pieces, really stood out as being that little bit bland by comparison. I suppose my overall verdict was that there were definitely a few nice things inside, but knowing that there were hoards of charity and one-off style shops within spitting distance, I saved my pennies for them. The lady, although sharing a bit of an awkward 'I'm-the-only-customer-in-here' moment with me, was really quite lovely and smiley too. So all in all, nice but not the nicest.

This cute little shop is just one cute little shop in a sea of cute little shops in Otley. As you…read morego inside you are completely surrounded by gifts and trinkets, to the point of being overwhelmed really. There is just so much to see! It definitely falls somewhere between the category of women's fashion and gifts as there were so many things that could go both ways. There were hoards of jewellery items, mostly costume, which had a lovely vintage vibe to them - there were some with great chunky faux gems and a few with vintage metal roses as part of the design. A recurring theme was Betty Boop - her form appeared to be following me around the shop it seemed as she cropped up all over the place! As well as jewellery there were a number of handbags, gorgeous scarves and a large rail of clothing. The garments appeared to be quite funky and glittery 80s style cocktail dresses, amongst other items, and certainly all seemed to fall under the 'going out' category. They even had some very fabulous full length gloves! A shop that seems to take its class and debonair shine from it's most featured icon - Betty Boop! My partner purchased a T-shirt off this company via Facebook on the 11th March, one of his many…read moreorders from the company. He then queried whether it had been posted (wasn't an issue either way, just wanted an update) and the owner said he'd refund it on the 13th March. Following his message saying he'd refund him he sent him a threatening voice note saying that my partner is not right in the head and that if he carries on asking him stuff he will block him and he won't receive anything. He had not received a refund, yet on the 20th March the company sent a picture of the parcel with the postage sticker - making out it had been sent rather than him receiving the refund. So on the 31st March he sent a message asking for the tracking details as he has still not received anything and the director of the company sent a threatening voice note saying he's getting on his nerves and he'll post when he has chance and that's he's unbelievable and painful.. Baring in mind he was due to have a refund. So I messaged him myself saying it is not difficult to refund and he blocked my partner. So we have no T-shirt and no refund. Absolute scum.

There are all sorts of cards in here, you will be truly spoiled for choice, as there are rows and rows of them! Obviously Mounsey's wouldn't survive on card sales alone and so there are a number of other related items for sale here. You can purchase a wide selection of books although there doesn't appear to be any order or theme to the titles stocked - which include British Wildlife and Stephen Fry in America for example. There are also plenty of magazines, Lottery and tons of puzzle books and calendars! As it has been established since 1859 I think it's only right that should you be in need of a birthday card, or indeed a crossword book, that your purchase be made in Mounsey's. After all, Clinton's are two a penny and will almost certainly cost you more.

However, The Wharf manages just fine to fit into a more boutique style gift store, which means it offers something a little different to the other shops. It has a range of really cool handbags, which aren't particularly to my interest, some pretty cool gift cards and really classy looking silver jewellery. As well as that there were a few really nice looking vases, but unfortunately, nothing really quite 'me' enough to open my purse. That said I know that I don't *need* specific walking gear as such, but then I wouldn't exactly class as a hiker or sports person! Inside Rock One has a huge range of different outdoors items, differing mostly from J R Sports (which is immediately next door) in that it seems more about the hiking/walking outdoors than anything more. Expect to find a whole range of specialist socks, jackets, waterproofs, heavy duty rucksacks, trousers and more, which pretty much covers your every need for an intense jaunt around the hills and fields of Yorkshire!
