Owner Dalida Atallah has really brought something special to Rochester with Dado. One trip to her store and you will understand her aesthetic, the girl has impeccable taste. If that's not enough the store is impossibly clean with each of the garments hung perfectly spaced apart while center tables hold accessories. A type A personality who understands the importance of presentation? Whats not to like?! Be warned: Though Dado is just minutes down the street from Marshalls and TJ Maxx, it is expensive. The store carries high end brands like Elizabeth & James and more popular brands like French Connection but don't let that scare you away, Atallah has great sales (Up to 30% off) often so its worth a visit. Perhaps some holiday money could buy you a fabulous New Years Eve dress. It's possible you've gotten a glimpse of what Dado has to offer if you've attended any of the local fashion shows. Most recently a Dado show raised over $100,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Center. A small business helping a local charity makes my 8 minute drive to Pittsford worth while. I recently purchased a pair of Liverpool ankle jeans from Bev & Co. I wore them once and washed…read morethem once. When I took the jeans out of the wash, I found a gaping, threadbare hole at the bottom of one leg, and the very beginnings of a hole near the bottom of the other leg. I immediately returned the jeans to Bev's and requested a refund. After a week had passed, i got a call from the manager who told me I could only have a 'credit' because either my washing machine ripped the jeans or I had bleached them. I explained that my washing machine has NEVER put holes in any article of clothing (much less jeans) and that I don't, and didn't, use bleach Then the manager said, "Well, it's your word against mine." Really? Apparently it's common practice for Bev & Co. staff to call their customers "liars." Most legitimate businesses will stand by their merchandise and respect their clientele. Not the case at Bev & Co. I don't know what was wrong with these jeans but they were unquestionably defective and it was not my fault. I currently have 5 articles of clothing in my closet that I purchased from Bev & Co: One by Ttibal, two by Habitat and two by Clara Sun Woo. Not exactly a fly-by-night customer. However, I guarantee you that I just made my last purchase at this so-called boutique. And that's no lie.

The items (only women's clothing) are high-quality but so affordable, there were suit sets for $12 and I got a thick Banana Republic blazer for $3 because it was on sale. And the service is lovely, the workers are very kind and friendly! So glad I finally took the time to check this place out, as a friend recommended I do.
