Felt like getting pizza one Friday night, and while I'm waiting for my pizza to be done, figured I'd check out Waldorf. The lady at the front, who's also the owner was really nice. She explained the prices and her hours for me, and told me it would be no problem for me to drop my dog off in the morning, and then pick him up after work.
I went back 2 weeks later for a nail trim for my dogs, and then again about 4 weeks later for full grooming for my small one (who's a Lhasa Apso). Here's why I like this place:
- small local business. It's the owner and her daughter helping out. Both of them are super sweet.
- Convenient location. It's on the way to and from work for me. Right off of Holly and Evans.
- Reasonable price. $10 for a nail trip (with a little grind) and she checks their glands and do them, for free.
- Thorough. I've tried probably 8 different groomers, my Stubby isn't the handsomest and easiest to deal with, but she's the ONLY groomer who has groomed him and I didn't have to ask her to take him back to cut a little extra. I explained to her once in the beginning about the cut, and told her that Stubby needs hypoallergenic products. I came back a couple of hours later. Stubby is all done, nice and clean. AND he didn't smell super duper good, which is great, because that means she did use hypoallergenic products on him. I also checked Stubby's ears, nice and clean and DRY. The last place that did Stubby, his ears were SO damp. I can't remember exactly how much it cost for Stubby but it was pretty reasonable, around $45 maybe?
For all those reasons, I'm definitely going back to Waldorf again! read more
