My sister wanted to visit to pick up some supplements for herself. Well stocked, staff greeted us a soon as we entered. Asked us if we needed any help. At this time there is only one employee making customer service a challenge. read more

I absolutely enjoy shopping at the vitamin shop for all my supplement needs. The majority of the staff are well-informed about various supplements and brands. I tend to purchase all my supplements during their buy one, get one (BOGO) or buy one at get one at 50% off promotions. Additionally, they offer a wide variety of protein powders and pre-workout powders or drinks. Your total one-stop supplement shop... read more

The West University-Kirby location of The Vitamin Shoppe is not a location I would ever return to. Not only was customer service subpar, but the lone employee in the store was the negative trifecta of discourteous, unprofessional and and unhelpful. Although she did greet me when I walked through the door, the level of service went down from there. After my experience at this location, I called the toll free number for Vitamin Shoppe and voiced my concerns, providing info from my receipt. The matter remains unresolved. read more

On May 30th at approximately 9:40 am, I walked into this location to purchase some multi-vitamins. I was asked by "Christian", the store clerk, if I needed any assistance. She lead me to the multi-vitamin section as asked, but then proceeded to stand behind me as I browsed, even asking me if I wanted her to hold my selected item at the counter until I was done shopping. She continued to stand behind me even as I shopped, and did not leave me alone until after my transaction at the counter was done. But for what reason? Did she think I'd steal? I noticed that there was another woman in the same section as I who was left alone to browse supplements in peace, and she didn't offer to "help" this woman after finishing with me. Why? Is it because I'm Black and the other shopper was not? I'm writing this review to inform any reader/business owner that it's in poor taste to still be monitoring Black shoppers in any establishment. It's 2024. The economy may not be at its best, but the majority of people who come to these shops are there because they can afford to purchase whatever is there. Yes, even the Black ones. I will not be visiting this establishment again, but I hope Miss "Christian" and others learn something and do better moving forward. read more

This Vitamin Shoppe has been here forever, and I love stopping in occasionally to see what new stuff is in stock. I'm a protein bar fan (yay sweets!) so it's nice to be able to find bars that aren't found at HEB, etc. and to buy them in single bars to try them out before committing to a whole box. Protein spreads (nuts n more), protein chips, and even protein cookies-- I'll fall for all the snacks, haha ^^" but there's a huge selection of vitamins, supplements, herbal stuff, etc. for your general health. So this place isn't just for workout junkies from the 24 Fitness next door! There's a clearance section on the far back wall... nab some sweet deals there but be sure to look at the expiration date (some of those expire fairly shortly)! :D read more

I will literally go out of my way to go this location specifically! (Rice Village) The employees are very friendly and helpful. Great staff!

This location is close to the gym; so usually after my workouts I stop by here to pick up supplements and different other health goods. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about the products that they carry. Lately they've been running a special on Vitamin Shoppe brands. Buy one get one half off; and with that special you can mix and match different things. The place is never busy so there is always spaces in the parking lot and the place is well lit. The staff never hover over you. They allow you time to read the products and ask questions when needed. Im always in there looking for new things to try. read more

I'm a regular here because I live just a few blocks away. I usually go on weekends because of work. Last weekend on Sunday, 11/8/2020 I went at around noon but the store is closed. The sign posted on the door days it should be open. I guess I have to look somewhere more convenient. read more

The location of this place is perfect. Right down the street from my favorite gym. Came here looking for some protein shakes for post-workouts and found so many choices. The products are fairly priced and they run great sales here and there. The staff is very friendly, attentive to customers and easy to talk to. If you see a product at a very high reach, they don't mind grabbing the ladder to grab it for you. read more

Recently, me and my girlfriend started getting back into shape. We decided to check into supplements but did not know where to start. The manager Webb has been very helpful and very knowledgable with the items in the store. He has given us great recommendations and very professional. 5 stars for great customer service!!! read more

Sat outside for 30 minutes. I was 10 minutes early before the shopped opened. I waited 20 minutes then left.

This is an excellent and convenient location just down the street from 24 hour fitness. I can easily get my protein needs here after a strenuous workout, including the isopure ready to drink brand. read more

I just recently started coming to Vitamin shoppe about 2 months ago with my boyfriend. We recently made life changes to get fit and work out together. My recent experiences with the manager Webb have been awesome, he is a really great and dedicated employee. He also takes his time and reaches out to us when we come in to be certain we get the items we need. He's very knowledgeable and gives great advice and recommendations. We definitely feel like important customers when we come in. I highly recommend this location and if Webb is available his your guy to be able to assist you with you're healthy needs. read more

The Vitamin Shoppe. There are just some places I like visiting, in this day and age of health and wellness. I want to be aware of how I can better enhance my diet with some vitamin or health supplements. I do not overly share or really persuade others in usage of health products. I do like adding something here and there to my diet. Yes, asking a physician or someone who is credible in health and wellness products is often a good idea. This review is about Hemp Protein powder (plant) the hi-fiber brand. I'm enjoying it to add protein to my diet when I do not have meat or beans readily available. I am not pumping up, just adding protein to my meals sometimes. It is easy to shake up and yogurt or a thick milk will hold the separation of the powder. I had a glass today. I have mixed this with many combinations and just water alone. I always add something to "sweeten" mine. I stop by again soon maybe for a energy drink or health bar. This store is a great place to shop for health supplements. I was immediately greeted by Webb who was friendly and engaging. After explaining what I was looking for, he guided me over and helped me pick out what I needed. Often times I feel like there aren't many choices, but I was pleasantly surprised by how many Vitamin Shoppe offers - and again pleasantly surprised by his knowledge to help narrow things down. His engagement helped me make a more educated choice and I will be back again! read more

This is the worst vitamin shoppe I've been to. There are so many here in Houston. I came back here because the first time I visited this location they price matched CLK Cellucor on the WalMart website which is priced at $18 with free shipping. When I came back this new guy was there he was a little rude and he was like "naaaah we won't price match that. We will price match if it's only a LITTLE cheaper." LOL like seriously? Then your sign needs to read will price match when it's convenient. I called another vitamin shop and they said it would price match with no problem so don't waste your money or your time dealing with these people at this location. And if you don't like to drive I suggest looking up Walmarts website because they have free shipping and way better prices. read more

I am sure that this place is great, but my experience here was not a good one. I didn't get the guys name that attended me, but he couldn't help me and no else could help me. I have been looking for a specific product all day on the internet and it shows that Vitamin Shoppe has it in stock. So I called to more than 4 Vitamin Shoppes to find out if they had it at their location. None of the Vitamin Shoppes in Houston have it at their store, but I was told that I could have it special ordered so it can arrive at the store. I was told by two employees that I could do this so I went to this one because it was very close to where I worked. Back to the guy who attended me. I informed him that I needed to have a product special ordered at his store. He looked up the product and he informed me that they don't do that. I told him that two other employees from other stores told me it is possible. And he shouted to his manager asking her out loud in front of the other customers. He could of just went up to her or get her to come to the front. She didn't say anything I don't even think she payed any attention to him. He confirmed that they don't do that, and whoever I talked to they are wrong and they don't know what they are talking about. He didn't offer to call other stores or ask for additional help he just said we don't do that and that was that. It is all about customer service and great service and he didn't do any kind of service. I just left and I ended up calling the other Vitamin Shoppe that said they could do it, and I told him what happened at this vitamin shoppe and he was surprised on the awful service I received. So I ended up going to that one instead. It was a long drive with the traffic, but I had no other choice and in the end I got the product that I was looking for. Big no no for this Vitamin Shoppe, hopefully they improve on the Customer Service. read more

Most Vitamin Shoppe locations generally deserve at least 4 stars, but this store just doesn't have it together. I have been there about a dozen times since my first visit in October 2012, and here is what I have to share: 1. Staff doesn't always know where certain supplements are. Example: I needed a Turkey Tail mushroom supplement and was told by an associate that they don't have it. I wandered around the store for a few minutes a found a whole section with enough varieties of supplements containing Turkey Tail to confuse a rocket scientist. 2. Sometimes there is no one there to check you out. Literally, you can stand there for five minutes wondering if the stuff on store shelves is free. Really annoying. 3. Sometimes it is too warm inside the store. I don't walk around with a thermometer, but I have been there twice when the temperature HAD to be well over 80. Ladies working there: put some warm sweaters on when it's cold outside and leave the thermostat alone - you are selling supplements and they ALL must be stored in a "cool and dry place". 4. I have never been a member of any vitamin program, but somehow the clerk in this store convinced me to sign up for their Healthy Rewards Club. It was free after all, and I agreed. They took my name and email and phone, and I was told I would get an email within 30 days with a 20% off code. Wow, sounds good. ...This was in November. 60 days later - nothing. I sent an email to customer service - nothing (it;s like writing to the IRS when you don't owe them money). Better yet, the last drop in my cup came yesterday, when... first (in the morning), I received an email with 20% off code that MUST be used within 2 days, and second (at lunchtime), I received another email stating that the morning email was erroneous and that the coupon code is invalid and will not work.... yes, that's it just like that. And so, today, I made a decision: people running this store are incompetent, and they don't deserve my business. And probably neither does The Vitamin Shoppe in general, sorry. I have spent a few hundred dollars there, and don't intend to keep doing it. Enough said. read more

Work on customer service skills! Just left here and when i paid, extended my hand out to get the receipt and my change, instead of putting it in my hand she just put the receipt on the counter and my change on top. Not even a thank you or have a good day. read more

Very helpful, and knowledgeable. Very nice mix of workers. Great day shift weekend crew.

Again, this store never fails to disappoint. Definitely the worst of the many stores around Houston. I tried it again because I was in the area and ... shouldn't have been surprised that they were out of what I required. The entire display of similar items was empty of choices. I will remember to stick with the other stores that are better managed. read more
