Records I haven't seen in the wild for many years, actually, and hundreds that I'd like to have for my collection if I were independently wealthy. The prices may be a bit more than you'd pay if you used Discogs, eBay or Amazon, but hey, you don't have to wait for it to be shipped to you. If you can't handle a bit of markup you should probably stick to online shopping. There is something to be said for being able to see the condition of both the sleeve and vinyl of used records, however. I feel like a kid in a candy store when I visit here, and my 17 year old son almost always finds something he wants to buy here. The selection is incredible; they literally have every genre a vinyl collector could hope for. I believe you'd have to make the drive to Denver to find a comparable record store.

Collections of records . In retrospect maybe premature as they are back. But I'm satisfied with what I have now but value the choices of others with room and time for both. If you are looking for something specific they likely have it here unless extremely obscure. The selection was huge and better organized than many similar retro music stores that I have seen in other cities. These seemed in very good condition though they have random bins of more worn items in the bargain bins on the sidewalk. Go take a look if you have equipment and if not, they may have what you need here too. The staff person told me so but I did not have time to look.

We walked a few blocks deep into the mall and didn't find anything so we headed back to the car. On a whim we walked past our car to the next intersection to see if there was some dessert place there. The only sweet place we came across was Paradise Found Records. I collect old vinyl and I'll usually stop into a record store to see if they have anything from my wish list. Sean, a bearded, long-haired music aficionado asked if he could help me find anything. I opened up the list on my phone and read off the first one. He went straight to the album and proudly showed it to me. I was shocked. These albums are still on my wish list because they are impossible to find. I named the next one. He walked like a man on a mission and quickly found that one also! He knew exactly where these antique titles were as if he was digging through his own record collection! I was elated, but a little suspicious. Do they have these albums because they're so expensive no one is buying them? I flipped the album over to see the price. SIX DOLLARS! That is unheard of! Years ago used vinyl albums in decent condition were going for $12 and the prices have just gone up from there. Recently I bought a used album for $18. I listened to all the albums as soon as we got home and they sounded great. Oh, why don't we live in Boulder?!

These guys stole my work (the cover of The Ween Coloring Book) and made prints of it to sell…read morewithout my involvement or permission. I have heard these guys have ripped off a lot of artists. It's a sham to call yourself an art gallery, these guys are rip off artists. This is not something that happens by mistake. A print shop KNOWS whether they have an artists consent (and contract) to reproduce their work. Poster Scene can pretend to be about art but what they are really about is stealing from the artists who are trying to make a humble living for themselves. Reproducing an image that an artist has created and may be doing a limited run of not only devalues the artists work, but it takes important buyers away from the creator who really depends on making every dollar they possibly can for their creations. Sadly a lot of people have messaged me to let me know they bought "my poster." These people are fans of MY work and thinking they are doing something to support and appreciate me, when the unfortunate truth is they are contributing to shady lowlifes who have no respect for what goes into making a living in the arts. I don't fault anyone who goes and buys a piece of illegally reproduced art but if you are a fan of art- the safe bet is always to buy DIRECTLY from the creator (artist or band) that you want to support. Lotsa fake middlemen out there!

The man who owns this store is very passionate and knowledgeable about his collection. Some may not…read moreunderstand how his brain works but he obviously cares deeply about his inventory and though make come across as rude, he is simply defending something he cares deeply about. He knows every book in the store and why it's significant, he is fair with the pricing and I feel like this selection is severely underrated. I personally love this shop and love the way his brain works, I recognize some of my own neurodivergence in him. Maybe he isn't for everyone, but I promise if you give him a chance and talk with him, you'll understand much more about the way he is. I know my opinion changed immediately after speaking with him and I would absolutely recommend giving this place a try. You never know what kind of treasures you might find there.

I've been a long time visitor at Ares thrift store. This week I dropped by to make a donation…read more(thank you Marie Kondo for encouraging me to get rid of some things that no longer bring me joy). It was super snowy out and I noted there were no donations left at the door. There was also a sign that said to knock (as the doorbell is out of order) to ensure that you leave your donations with a staff member. No prob! A few knocks later a nice woman came out to retrieve my donation and offer me a receipt. And off I was to my next errand. On other occasions I've perused their aisles for nearly an hour. There is truly a lot to look at. I picked up a stellar pair of like new Levi's jeans (for only $8) and am now a huge Levi's fan. During Halloween and Christmas their offerings are unmatched. They do a stellar job of putting everything out neatly and at fair prices. They also have events from time to time, one of which I won two $5 vouchers (they are so cute and have prarie dogs on them!). Excite to make another donation soon. Three cheers for spring cleaning!

Calling or just popping in isn't an option for eveyone especially those of us with disabilities. Being mute, I can't call, and I can't just come in and explain what I need. I have to write it down, and that can take some time, and if you're busy when I "pop in," that wont work for either of us. Not even checking the emails and contact forms once in over a month is just lazy workers and there's no excuse.
