Not bad for on base. The selection isn't as good on hard alcohol as a ABC store, but of course the prices are good.

I don't like the idea of state run stores. But, if you're in Virginia, that it what it is. This…read morestore does a pretty good job of balancing having a broad selection and having a deep selection in certain popular categories. It doesn't have the best selection of bourbon or of Irish whiskey among the ABCs, but it has a solid selection of each where you can almost always find something good. The selection of brandy/congnac is limited but it has options. If you want to go out of your way to find a specific bottle, this might not be your place, but if you're looking to buy a range of bottles for home use, a party, etc., you can find a satisfactory offering here. And, the people who work at this store are nice people who can be helpful if you ask.

This store is so on DL that it wasn't even on Yelp when I went looking for it…read more This is a hole in the wall ABC Store. It's caddy corner of the Hilton Crystal City, and it's about the size of a larger studio apartment (aka IT'S SMALL). We went there searching for White Claw ( cause of course we did), and found out that they don't have any beers for sale. They don't have any wines for sale either. Is this a thing in VA? I know beers and wines are in like supermarkets and stuff, but do they not have them in the liquor stores too? Either way, good news was that they did have tonic water and a few mixers. Picked up some tonic for my gin, and then headed across the street where I found White Claw in a 7-11 of all places. So, would definitely recommend this place is your in search of Liquor ( and it's a pretty mainstream brand) as the selection is not huge.

Every time I go there is never really a line. And if there is a wait or a line, it's kind that there is a bench especially for senior citizens to rest while waiting. The rest of the store? 3 stars. It's just okay. Prices are quite high but I suppose that's to be expected in this day and age. Produce isn't as fresh as it can be. I'd go elsewhere for my grocery shopping.

There is a large Harris Teeter sign on the side of the building, but no obvious entrance to be found. I walked from one end of the building to the other without much luck. I finally asked a cleaning lady to find out where the store entrance was. She said I needed to walk down a precarious tamp to the parking garage, and then search out an elevator to ride up to the store. There were absolutely no signs anywhere inside of this parking garage, however I did finally manage to find the store. A ended-up little frustrated. I purchased some basic stuff like bread, water, some apples, and soup. The store itself was fine, I just with they would give a little more guidance especially if you are forcing people to take an elevator to enter the store.

The shop is super clean and has a modern, welcoming energy that works whether you're grabbing a quick treat or sitting down for a full meal. I love the spacious vibrant design of this place, plenty of seating and standing area. I came for the donuts but stayed for the quality. I tried the Black Forest Vegan Donut, and it was soooooooooo delicious. Sometimes vegan pastries can be hit-or-miss with texture, but this one was spot on... rich, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. I wish they have a few more options for vegan donuts though. I had try Kings Hot Cocoa with Oatmilk, so happy they have non-dairy milk substitutions available. I love that they use housemade cocoa here. It's a more sophisticated version of hot chocolate, definitely more bitter than sweet, next time I will ask for chocolate sauce to be added to off balance the bitterness. It's rich and authentic, not that powdery artificial stuff you find at chains. I was surprised by their huge variety. Beyond the wall of donuts, they have a full breakfast menu, plus happy hour and drink specials. It seems like a great place to transition from a morning coffee to a late afternoon cocktail. They also have a rewards program, which is a no-brainer to sign up for if you live in the area with just your phone number. The staff was very nice and patient while I was deciding (it's hard to choose when everything looks so good!). The whole place is very well-kept and feels like a spot where they actually care about the details. The only slight hurdle is the parking situation. It's paid street parking, and it can be a bit of a challenge to find an open spot nearby. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to circle the block or be prepared to walk a short distance it's def worth it!

The fam had the avocado toast and bacon, egg, potato plate (not pictured) and it was amazing. Well done. The donuts were great too. If you want some food with flavor and some good eats, this is a spot.
