We réalisés quick that we were the only "strangers" as all the others were fishermen and spoke Welsh but us was given a warm welcome and the feeling that the re glad to have us there. The barlady let us taste the three local ales before ordering so that we could find our favorite. The food was good my buttered cod was delicious and really fresh. And it was the cheapest pub we found in Wales: Beer 3 P fish n Chips 7 p so i need to recommend it. :-)

Decent enough pub - everyone seemed friendly, service was very cheerful - top marks for this. Bonus was being able to pick up a couple of pizzas to take away - they weren't spectacular, but had fresh ingredients and were a good option after a few pints ! There are only four pubs in Solva so I'd suggest starting in this one as it's half way up an incredibly steep hill, then walking down to the other three.
