Clean, respectful and friendly staff. You walk in and the vibe is wonderful. Pricey but they have specials.

“I usually work in cafes when I'm traveling, but I needed a place to work for the whole day, and someone suggested WorkShop.”

Fantastic little spot! The host/server is most certainly the highlight of my review. She was…read morecheery, hospitable, and informative during both our wait and our service. We waited about 20 mins for a table for 2 on a Thursday evening, but that felt like no issue with the level of service she provided us. She checked in with us, provided updates, and was just splendid to interact with! Once inside, I throughly enjoyed my cocktail and the snacks we ordered. No complaints!

HIDDEN GEM in Brookline. I must have walked past it several times and not noticed it until my…read morefriend introduced me to it. They do both reservations and walk-ins but it's safer to make a reservation ahead if you can. It's pretty easy to make one as well; we only booked a day ahead for a Friday night. Amazing first impressions as well. They make a tiny space work perfectly; I did not feel claustrophobic at all even with full house. They have really cute decors and the space is decorated well. They have their seasonal cocktails that you can choose your choice of liquor for and martinis (both vodka and gin). They brew their espresso fresh as well so the space smells so good every time it is brewed. I got a Peru Plunder and it was fruity and light (a dangerous one). Their apple pie old fashioned has an interesting aftertaste in a good way. The bartender and the server were attentive and friendly as well. I had a great time and will definitely be coming back. -9.1/10

I can't say enough good things about the Chickpea after school program! My daughter absolutely…read moreloves going there--she's always excited to share the new activities, games, or even field trips they've had that day. The staff always have something engaging planned, and it's clear that they put a lot of heart into everything they do. What really stands out to me is how the teachers and Ms. Cecilia treat the children--with so much respect, kindness, and care. My daughter often says she feels like a "grown-up" because of how empowered and supported she feels there. It's truly a place that goes beyond expectations to help little ones grow, feel seen, and gain confidence. As a working parent, it gives me tremendous peace of mind to know that she's in such a nurturing and enriching environment. They even handle school pickups, which has been a huge help. I'm incredibly grateful for the Chickpea team and the joy they bring to my daughter's afternoons.

Drop in hours are 10-1 or 2, it might vary. Best to go by 10 or 11. Drop in play, very nice owner. You can even pack and feed lunch before you leave so baby/tot can nap on the walk home. Pricing is reasonable. This is not a place where kids get a lot of energy out. It's not a gym, this is really imaginative play and crafts, etc. Still very good and also good to interact with other kids.

I'll make this short. Lovely back yard setting, very nice &…read morefriendly service. Food was excellent, presentation was great. Well made drinks. We were 6 people, bill was around 380..with the tax, tip & recommended 4% for the kitchen staff, another 80 in fees, which kills me after traveling through Europe fairly often. So 440 total. Way to much for one drink each for 5 of us, no drink for the 6th, no bottle of wine, split 1 app 7 olives, no coffee, 2 desserts. Way too pricey. When did 34-38 dollar entrees become the norm ? I would never return for one reason..that 4% tip for the kitchen. Pay your back of the house staff from those $$$$ entrees. Perhaps another idea is to take a % off each $15+ cocktail and pay their kitchen staff with it. I have not seen this done in years..absolutely no where. During the height of Covid, yes. But it faded away rather quickly and left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Also, I'd recommend lighter plates, those poor ladies hauling in those large & heavy dishes is not a good look.

The patrons are 40+ and the wavy, narrow, spotty font was completely unreadable. I thought it was just me, but the waiter said they've heard it before. And then I caught the table next to me reading it to each other. See the pic I took. This is completely fixable, if the owners read yelp.
