I imagine it would be perfect for a charity dinner or (who knows!) even a small wedding reception. 30 of us spreading out our yoga mats took up about half the room. The heat was unpredictable. When it gets cold, you have to go upstairs and find the man who can turn up the heat for you. He's a sweet guy with a little white dog. Then half an hour later you will be roasting and you'll need to zip upstairs again and ask him to turn it down. One or the other of the two women's toilets on the lower level was usually clogged. One day there were bugs crawling all over the wood floor and someone said they were termites, but we never saw them again. Over the course of two years, I grew to love these quirks.

Enter into the lobby of the 11th floor and find yourself on the upper level of the space, a balcony of epic proportions lining the entire circumference of the room and a wide wooden staircase leading down to the lower level. Floor-to-ceiling windows with expansive views of the Boston skyline give the space an open, airy feel, flooding it with tons of sunlight during the day, or the sparkle of the city at night. Everything, from the fully functional kitchen, to the room with the ping pong table in it, was immaculate, with the "newly built smell." Add to that a ridiculous sound system and one of the biggest projection flat screens in existence, and you have one of the coolest (and nerdiest) places in all the metro area.

Bathrooms were kept clean. Parking is a bit annoying; it's one of the weirdest shaped parking lots I've ever seen, with lots of diagonal and in-between-beams parking spots. Parking is $27/day and can be paid for at the exit or at the elevator.

The architecture and interiors give it that classic, old Boston feel, like stepping back in time. They even had posters set up so people could make signs for race day, which was such a thoughtful and fun touch. One of the underrated perks is the parking. If you have access, it is actually a really convenient place to park in a part of the city where that is usually tough. Glad I got to see it, and it is a great experience if you know someone who can bring you in.

Situated in a store front on Bow Street, the Green Room is a welcome performance space in the neighborhood. Definitely join their mailing list to stay abreast of visiting performers and take in a show prior to dinner and drinks in Union Square. We rented a private office for several months, which was quiet and sunny. We have also used their remote mailing address service for years. Payment is charged to your card on the 1st of the month, so billing is super easy too. Oficio offers a great location, service and price for the Back Bay area.
