My uncle and I were shopping for a birthday gift for his wife, both Elaina and Lisa assisted in the process.

Y2K Jewelers - Voted BEST JEWELRY STORE in the SGV 2024!

Y2K Jewelers

I've been exploring watches for the past couple of months and was genuinely excited to find a local…read morejewelry store like Y2K Jewelers near me in the Glendora/San Dimas area. Their listings mention carrying Citizen watches, so I hoped to browse in person and potentially make a purchase. I arrived around 10:40-10:45 AM, saw the doors wide open, and assumed they were open early (official hours start at 11 AM). I stepped inside politely and asked the gentleman behind the counter if they were open. He responded with a curt "yes," immediately followed by an abrupt and rude "What do you want?" I was surprised and confused I've never been greeted that way when entering a store intending to browse and spend money. His tone, stare, and overall demeanor felt dismissive and unwelcoming from the very first moment. I explained I just wanted to look around for watches, but he remained short and unfriendly throughout. I even pointed out directly that his behavior felt rude, hoping it might change the interaction, but there was no apology, no softening, and no effort to engage. I left without browsing further. There's a basic level of professionalism one expects from a jewelry store especially one dealing in higher-value items like watches where a welcoming, respectful attitude encourages customers to stay and spend. I rarely leave poor reviews (this is one of very few I've ever written), and I understand people can have off days, but this experience was so consistently off-putting that it stood out. A different approach starting with basic courtesy would make a huge difference. I understand security concerns in California, but treating potential customers with respect shouldn't be optional. This left me disappointed, and I won't be returning. Attaching photos of the gentleman and the store for context.

I said to the older man "other places don't charge that much" he said "go there" . Unprofessional response. I will take my 7 watches elsewhere. Thanks for nothing.

Gold'n Time - Fast battery replacement!

Great customer service, friendly communication, on time as his store name…read more He did all my 3 watches in reasonable price.

I hate writing negative reviews. I really do. Especially for small businesses such a this one. Up…read moreuntil now, the only other times I've done it were for some crappy clothing store in Fullerton and a pizza joint that served me food with hair on it. But this place deserves it. I would give Gold'n Time negative stars if I could. That's why I was so surprised to read other reviews on here calling the man who works at this store "courteous", "helpful", and "friendly". He was pretty much the exact opposite of all of that when I talked to him earlier today. I came to this place to get a watch repaired. It's an old, rare watch with delicate parts inside. It's also a collector's item and not a typical run-of-the-mill watch. I *wanted* to tell the guy working at the store to be extra careful with it. I *wanted* to let him know that I wasn't sure which battery the watch needed and that I had brought a few different kinds I thought would work. I *wanted* to tell him that I suspected some of the parts had been replaced by the previous owner and that they were not the right fit. But I didn't get to say much of anything. Right as I was about to tell him about the batteries, he cut me off mid-sentence without letting me explain what the overall problem even was. He said he "didn't need any explanations". He did so in a very rude manner that's hard for me to describe in mere words. You just had to be there to witness it. He then unceremoniously grabbed my cherished collector's item and began roughly unscrewing the back of it. When he inevitably came to the obvious fact that it was missing a battery, he came back to ask me which battery the watch needed. I told him that if he'd just been a little more patient and listened to me earlier, I would've already answered that question. This only annoyed him further and he became even more rude. (Side note: I came here for much more than just a simple battery replacement.) At this point, I'd had enough and told him to give me back my watch. He did so and told me not to come back to the store. In response, I flipped him off and called him a few colorful names. Needless to say, I will never consider coming back here or giving him my money ever again. How can someone fix something without knowing what the problem is first? Wouldn't it help to know which part of a device needs the most attention before trying to repair it? And why would anyone think that being rude to customers would be good for business? The guy who works here is a complete idiot. I ended up taking my watch to a place at the mall. They fixed it quickly, for very little money, and the service was excellent. Don't come to Gold'n Time in Glendora. This place sucks.

I reached out on Yelp asking multiple jewelers about medium thick chains for memorial necklaces…read moresince we want something durable. Guy from Jeweler's Touch stood out in his quick responses and helpfulness. When we arrived that evening to speak to someone, Brandon was amazing. He was friendly, super patient, and explained everything. He understood how difficult it was to look for rose gold chains, especially when thicker too. I was super indecisive and he gave me all the time in the world to look through their gold book which had all kinds of designs and thickness scaled to life size so I could place my pendant on it to imagine how it would look. He also brought out samples of chain types as I picked out ones to see if I'd like the look in person. He ended up finding an estate gold chain that looked absolutely perfect for my husband's pendant in shine and style. We tried it for a few days (they give you 30 days hassle-free) and my husband knew it wasn't the right length of style for his personal preference and our tuggy toddlers within one day. It was gorgeous and I wished it worked out, but maybe not for us. We came back a few days later after Christmas Eve and Brandon helped me out again with the return and gave me suggestions for the length of my husband's necklace based on preference. I saw people coming in and out during the two times I went and I see why. These people are amazing, patient, knowledgeable, super friendly and not pushy at all. They want to help make happy customers who are looking for that perfect jewelry. Although we are still on the search for the "perfect" chain for each of us (we are not major jewelry people but need this to be just right for us in every way), I appreciate the help that Jeweler's Touch gave and would recommend them for anyone looking for a custom piece or specific jewelry services.
