Cider! That's what we went here for and we were not disappointed! Each cider we tasted was amazing and it was hard to pick one to buy... so we bought three kids. I loved the Wards Hard Cider for its crisp pear taste and my travel buddies picked the Picker's Hut Winter Spice cider that was super warming and full of spice and the Frostbite which had a little more zip to it. Our host was cute and fun but the tasting did go by super quickly. Guess cider drinkers don't contemplate all the same notes as wine tasters do. By my means, we would have stayed longer but we loved the time we did spend there and would definitely go again.

A shoe symbol, haven't seen that before. Okay, I have, though with The View, it actually makes sense--a pleasing romantic tale permitting The View to claim that icon and outplay the others. And it is romantic, almost saccharine--the type of scene that if in a movie, you'd want to punch the leads in the face and walk out of the theater. But in real life, you tilt your head like a curious puppy and cry "Awwwwww" until just before running out of breath. So, they get a pass on the shoe, but not on the name. I mean, The View, is it owned by four women who spend their time away from the winery discussing social, political, and pop culture topics with a tendency to ignore observable evidence? The location doesn't benefit from a particularly great view. The View is a member of the Fab Five, shared with SpierHead, Vibrant Vine, Camelot, and House of Rose, and they all sport superior vistas. But The View is not inferior in any way as a contrast. It's just unfortunate that both Vibrant Vine and Camelot all enjoy better themes in better-looking locations, and thus are more desirable to visit. The View I would argue may be the better winery. The tasting flight is cheaper. The hosts are knowledgeable. There's a lot of variety to choose from including dessert wines. And to saddle that selection with ciders is positively inspired. The location is roomy with the shoe theme carrying across the entire location. It's a little peculiar the building is effectively split in half, with one side divided by a sliding door, leading to a rustic, more sanitary area featuring another tasting area and raw, unfiltered production equipment. I walked into that area twice, worrying it was off limits, but no one stopped me. On both visits, this colossal space was empty. The main store is also narrow, with not a lot of room around the tasting area for larger groups. As for the wine, as I said, it's vast, over twenty offerings with many unique to this winery. On our first trip, we picked up a 2012 Distraction Frizzante, their sparkling wine, a surprise given my opinion of those (it's low). It was on that trip where my girlfriend and I had hit up 60 wineries over a week, bringing back 120 bottles. But we loved the location so much, that when we lead our friends on a similar journey only a few weeks back, we visited The View again, this time snagging a truly distinctive fortified white wine. I never even knew there was such a thing a white wine port/fortified. I like what The View offers. It's adorable in its theme, admirable in its selection. I can't speak for the cider, as I'm not generally a fan, but it's a cool alternate reason to visit. The View is the reason you hit up all members of the Fab Five. There's no one location that missteps. I may find two others better, but The View is the one where I may respect their history and their owners more. I haven't met them, don't know them, but after visiting and drinking, I kind of think I do, which only this winery has been able to do.

    Super cute gift shop !

THE BLACK AND WHITE: This was our second to last winery before we called it quits for the night. We came in wanting to try some more okanagan pinot noirs and we got them! They gave us a sparkling pet nat to try as we were walking in which was nice. The pinot noirs here in the classic tasting were alright. One was very light and the other was heavy and leathery. For bonus pours, we tried their late harvest riesling which had that petrol taste profile that I weirdly like. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Great staff and service, however the wines were alright. A tasting was $10 for four pours. Very affordable and would recommend to try at least once.

We dropped in on a Friday evening with 6:30pm reservations. There's a heritage room and a couple small tables outside to do tastings. We did ours in the latter. Service was incredibly friendly and sweet. Tasting fee varies ($10.00 to $20.00) based on four flight options but each includes three pours. We opted for the classic ($10.00). It's also worth mentioning that only $5.00 of the fee goes toward a bottle purchase. - 2017 Organic old vines pinot - a blend that was light in flavour. - 2016 Old vines riesling - 2018 Organic pinot noir - smokey and medium tannin. - 2020 Organic ruby pet nat - we were given a bonus sample. This was actually one of their natural wines we were hoping to try. Turned out to be our favourite. A touch fizzy and notes of blueberry. We debated getting a bottle ($30.00). Decent wines at SV but we enjoyed the organic wines more out in West Kelowna.

All their prices ($19.50 to $33.50) include taxes and deposit. - 2022 Bright idea - bubbly on the drier side - 2022 Siegerrebe - rare to find as a single varietal. Good mouth feel with notes of tangerine. We bought a bottle ($19.50) - 2021 Chardonnay - not your typical chardonnay. Light with good minerality - 2022 Pinot noir - a touch acidic with cherry - 2021 The pull - smooth, not too tannic - 2021 Malbec ($32.00) - bought a bottle as don't see malbecs often. Parking is weird as you have to park next to the building but there's no dedicated parking spaces. THE BLACK AND WHITE: Driving up, it was weird not having a place to park the car, so we just parked at the side of the building. The dogs are nice and playful around the property. Heading into the winery, we had these cute lil wine glasses and the tastings were 5 pours. There were a few grapes that I didn't recognize like the Siegerrebe, but was actually pretty decent. The pinot noir and bubbly was great. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for 2 tastings was $20 CAD. Lots of experimentation here and I'm onboard for it.

The Woops wine label is designed upside down, which is really fun, and it tastes great too. Phoenix was full-bodied and tasted really good. I also liked the Gewurztraminer for its well-balanced fruit flavors and sweetness, and the Wolf Song for its buttery taste. We also purchased their original wine glass. This winery is really fun, and I will definitely visit again.
