Renee the owner is super friendly and Havertown local. She has a terrific eye for fashion displaying clothing selection and coordinated pieces that are on trend, fun, feminine and colorful- summer dresses, camo jeans, cute sweaters and tops. She also has fun jewelry and purses to match the clothing themes. I bought a unique tie die shirt and very cool camouflage slides made of yoga mat material. She gets new things in every day. I will be-stopping in daily on my walk to say Hi and add cool stylish pieces to my wardrobe! We need more cool fashion stores like this in Havertown!

Co Chic looked like another women's boutique, but what I really noticed was a Hammitt bag that I saw in the window, and made a mental note to myself to return another time when my kids were not with me. So I went back today, and was pleasantly pleased that they had quite a selection of Hammitts, including the "Davis" bag that I had I seen on Hammitt's website recently that I was curious about. (It's really helpful to see handbags and purses in person so you can get a sense of the size and the feel but not many retailers sell Hammitts in this area.) Decor is wonderful, changing rooms are the most beautiful changing rooms I've ever seen (I should get some pictures next time I'm in there, they're neat). Makes this place certainly a little hidden gem. I browsed for what feels like a pretty long time, but only ended up getting a candle cause I only meant to pop in to see what the store was all about. Me and my wife are kind of regulars at Rocky's Pizza (same shopping plaza) so we've seen it and wondered what was inside. Well now I know! Certainly blew me away. I already mentioned the decor, but the general displays are nice as well (I work in retail, I can't help but be impressed by that). I was the only person in the boutique, but luckily I wasn't hounded. There was one person working there--didn't catch her name but she had long black hair and a nice sense of style herself. Donna took one look at my face and said, "I have the perfect dress for you." I'm between 12-14 and am working through some insecurities, so when she said that, I said "yeah, right." Donna told me I deserved to feel delicious in my dress, so I tried it on. My God. I looked and felt like a mermaid Goddess. The dress is a beautiful mermaid/trumpet style gown that hugged my curves in all the right places (I'll update with pictures soon!). It was affordable and very well-made. Normally, I would've walked right by it. Thank God I listened to Donna's advice. She is honest, smart, so so stylish, and she sees and celebrates the beauty of everyone who walks into her boutique. I felt like Cinderella and Donna was the fairy godmother (the Brandy/Whitney Houston version with the sassy and fabulous Godmother!). We learned that there are two kinds of stock: CONSIGNMENT items have a larger yellow tag. DONATED items have a small bright orange/red tag. They tend to keep the consigned items more towards the front of the store, also. So if you see an item and you think, wow, that's kinda high...check the tag. Chances are it's a consigned item. We browsed about and found some lovely things - FDC bought a gorgeous Italian Pottery vase and I got some very cool drinking glasses that just happen to match some shot glasses that I gave Lion a couple years ago. Score! On subsequent trips I have found an awesome set of mid-century bamboo plates for picnics (LOVE THESE!) and other fun stuff too. The staff are completely lovely people, the store is clean, well lit and well organized. Proceeds benefit survivors of domestic violence - they have a shelter for victims and also fund programs. Parking is super easy (pro tip - avoid the crowds, small parking lot behind the Barnes & Noble easy in/easy out!). Heck, yeah, I'll be back. It's a great little store supporting a very needed service in our area.

When I arrived, she seemed extremely uninterested at first, but stated she would find out the price of the hous for me. After I looked at it, I had decided to purchase it, and I told her I would like to load it in the car. She became very distraught and angry Stated that she had told me to call back in 30 minutes because it would take a long time for them to prepare the house. She said that they would need to dismantle the display and it would not be ready until tonight. I told her I'd driven 40 minutes just to pick up the house and I would actually help her dismantle everything from insideif it would allow for me to get it sooner. By the way, there was only a few toys and pluses in the house. The picture is provided for everyone to see that it would only take 3 minutes to remove the items from inside! She then told me that she was very busy and I needed to calm down because she is verybusy and understaffed, and that she needs to check out everyone else in line first and I needed to step aside. She replies in a very mad way I told you to call back in 30 minutes!!!!! I reminded her kindly that she asked me to call back For the price, and I headed over because the price did not matter. I was embarrassed and humiliated, I then decided to walk away and let her check out all the other people in line. When she had done that, I came back to tell her I would help her dismantle the area for the house and I wanted to see what she could do for me. She was clearly walking past me ignoring me for a while and then she came and told me "now do you see what I just said,when we are extremely busy! She was so angry with us. I mentioned to her that she should calm down and that I would help her. Her attitude was so extremely disrespectful and aggressive and demeaning towards me. I don't even know why I bought the house, really just because I wanted to make sure I had everything assembled for Christmas for my kids. She then charged me more than what it cost to purchase the item Yes online, and the item is also marked in many areas and has some damage. I did not even complain about that. My biggest complaint is the way she treated me. It was absolutely disgusting. I work in an extremely stressful environment on a daily basis, and I have never ever talked to a single soul in this way EVER. I have spent thousands of dollars at your store, but I will never come back. I hope that everyone reads this and sees that they do not deserve to be treated this way.. Again I work in a very stressful high volume job, and have NEVER treated anyone this way Also you should have been grateful to be busy in a bad Economy, not taking it out on customers Your response shows everything. You called me entitled, yet again insulting me when I did nothing wrong. I am a kind paying customer at your store who moved aside even though I waited in line for you to check out those ten customers in a calm and patient manner. I tried to park outside your store, but a large beverage truck parked there. I told the lovely young man I would carry the house to my car on the SAME block but he said he would help me. It took 5 minutes for him to walk down the street with me, and I also thanked him and tipped him a cash gift. You can justify why you behaved so rudely to me all you want and refuse to acknowledge your behavior which is not excusable. The house DOES have damage and the price is lower on Maileg site and all websites. I have dealt with all kinds of extremely stressful situations and have NEVER treated anyone like that ever. You seem to find such behavior acceptable and this is why I will never come to your store again
