Eggs Benedict and the three eggs with bacon, comes with a side of bread
Emma R.

Very friendly service, spoke great English and German. Great breakfast and freshly squeezed orange juice for mimosas. It was not far from the station as well, outdoor and indoor seating available.

There seems to be a whole menu for eggs Benedict! It is a wonderful place to breakfast with a very extensive menu, especially for tea! There are enough reviews in English raving about how awesome this place is, so I won't write more.

Everything was wonderful

Make a reservation, it's BUSY! The service and food are outstanding. Beautiful, Fresh food. Decor is cute, obviously Victorian. Really lovely experience.

Wow! I am solo traveling in Munich as a vegetarian and was looking for places to get breakfast that was hearty but also vegetarian! This place is DELICIOUS! My food came out fast, hot, and amazing. The staff is very friendly and the ambience is great. 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a bit pricey!

Longing for London - breakfast And brunch Decor - We just returned from a quick trip to London and we missed authentic English breakfast and the English tea experience so when we stumbled upon this restaurant in Munich we were so excited to stop in and check out the breakfast offerings. We couldn't pass up the experience based on many of the yelp reviews. The outside building architecture looks like you're in London and you walk inside and have the same feeling. The decor looks like an English tea house. I'm no expert but if the goal is to make you feel like you're in England- they succeeded in my eyes. I'm sure this could be what is considered a chain restaurant but I thoroughly enjoyed the decor and ambiance. Food - We ordered coffee & prosecco for drinks and a Piccadilly omelette with cheese and corned beef hash with potatoes for our meals. The meals included a basket of breads served with real butter and a choice of fresh jams. Both were presented nicely & looked appetizing but the omelette was slightly over cooked. However the bread & fresh jam made up for it. The bread was a little dry but I think it's because they're made in small doll sizes (cute). The corned beef looked like a small portion but it was really satisfying & more than enough. Service - the service was great! Our waiter Jacob was attentive & provided quick drink service upon sitting. Always a plus when served a glass of bubbly. We're definitely going back but will visit the other location to try out dinner. Highly suggest if you want to feel like you're in England.

Maybe I'm just spoiled because I've had high tea in a few places in the UK, but I wasn't really impressed with it here. For about €20 you can get a full tea set which includes a pot of tea, 4 tea sandwiches, and 2 scones. Since there was 3 adults and 2 children, we ordered 3 sets. The tea was good, but you can't really mess that up. The sandwiches were fine; there was smoked salmon, cucumber, egg, and a ham. It's just the typical tea sandwiches on white bread with a little mayo and the crusts cut off. The scones came out hot, and were delicious. They were accompanied by raspberry marmalade and clotted cream. You could taste that the cream was fresh and it went perfectly with the warm scones. They only serve high tea from 3-5 I believe. We arrived at around 3, but within 5 minutes the whole restaurant got packed. It's a small cafe, and it got really hot inside even though it was cold outside.. But if you want to come for the tea, make sure you're not late because they said they had barely enough to make 3 sets and we ordered at 3:15. They also serve regular food for breakfast and lunch, and have a selection of cakes. Overall it was okay, but I feel for the tea set, its overpriced for what you get.

Not the most impressive

I have been wanting to try this place for some time now. I have heard really good things about it and the reviews on Yelp are generally quite positive. It was for this reason I was a bit disappointed when I went on Sunday for brunch with my flat mate. We had made a reservation for 11:30. We were able to sit outside which was great. I had perused the menu before going and had an idea of what I wanted. I was thoroughly looking forward to a proper English breakfast; toast and beans, bacon, sausages, eggs, tomato. I was a bit taken back by the prices, but figured it is "foreign" food and a bit of a special thing, so it's bound to be a little pricier. After ordering and receiving the St. James breakfast, my high expectations and watering taste buds came crashing to the ground. The breakfast was a plate with three egged on it; perfectly in order. What was shocking was the non-British sausage (looked more like a Nuremberger) that had been sliced length-wise in half and put on top. A piece of German bacon (so that thin, measly strip rather than a real British rasher) had been cut into two or three prices and also put on top of the eggs. There were 3 cherry tomatoes which had been cut in half and sort of warmed in a pan, or maybe just from the flesh they were sitting on top of and a few mushroom strewn about the plate. Rather unimpressive for 10,50€. As for the toast, we had to ask the waiter to bring it about half way through as it had been completely forgotten. When it did come, it was a plain vollkorn toastbrot you get from Aldi for 0.45€ for the loaf. The food was edible and I'd go so far as to say good. But for the price you pay and what ends up coming, I can do a better job and in less time cooking my own Sunday breakfast at home but definitely was not worth the trip there and the excitement of a good English breakfast. I had hoped to go back for team and scones, but honestly, that isn't likely to happen.

What an awesome spot! I called morning of for a booking that evening as there was no availability…read morelisted on OpenTable. I was able to get myself down for a reservation for 1 that evening. Excellent service. I arrived a bit early and was seated (30 mins before my reservation time). Was promptly asked if they could check my coat for me. My server greeted me right away and took my drink order. I speak English and she was very friendly to me, and gave me an English menu. I had some questions about a specific cocktail, and she was patient with me, and took the time to go ask the bartender if they knew how to make it. She was able to explain very well the menu and answer any questions I had. The food was delicious. I ordered a filet mignon and a side of the seasonal vegetable (asparagus) and truffled mashed potatoes. So delicious! I ate every bit. I did not get a sauce in the steak because as per my server's recommendation, the steak itself has plenty of flavor and does not need a sauce. This is true! Tip when it comes to the al la carte sides (the steak did not come with a side). The sides are very small. Not family style. So don't expect to share them unless you aren't very hungry. You can see them on the background of my steak photo. The steak is about 8 oz. For dessert, the Juicy Piña is a must try! So delicious and so Instagram worthy. Overall, 10/10 recommend this place!!

We went to dine at Little London as it was a recommendation provided by a friend. While the food…read morewas decent, we had an unpleasant surprise by a mouse by our feet. The table next to us had spotted the mouse and then we quickly saw it running around in our section. For this nice of a restaurant, it was quite a surprise! Another couple came to join our section and the mouse ran up the guys leg! After talking to our hotel about this they said it's very unusual and dirty for a mouse to actually be inside of a restaurant. We lost our appetite and did not finish our meals. When the waitress asked if we would want another glass of wine she would pour it over our already existing glass with wine still inside filling it up to the original amount not giving us a proper pour. Our bottle of water was also charged at 18€. Overall, I do not think it was worth the price. Our bill was expensive for a mouse to be running around our feet the entire dinner!

Our flight was around 9:30pm (the last BA flight out of Munich). Bear with me, but this fact is…read moreimportant to this review. After an extremely lengthy immigration and security process, we were able to get into the lounge by 8:30pm. We had left our hotel at 6:30 pm and in the middle of all the sightseeing we had not taken a break for lunch or dinner (just coffee & a sandwich on the go). So we were hungry & a bit on edge. It was a bit of a maze to locate the lounge, but the staff at the desk were extremely welcoming and friendly. The problem was when it came to the refreshments. The coffee machine was great & we had some wonderful coffee, there was a pretty decent alcohol selection, but we don't drink before & during flights. It was the food that was woefully inadequate. There were a few crumbling sandwiches, some so called spicy chicken and a potato snack option. Both were cold, hard, dry and tasteless. There was one packet of crisps left, which I picked up and we ate that and a tiny pot of ice cream and sipped on our coffee. We watched them clear up all the tables at 8:40 and thought that they would bring out some fresh hot food. It was only at 9:00 that we realised that they were cleaning up in anticipation of closing down. This was too late for us to even consider visiting another eatery in the airport. The problem was that by the time we reached London T5 and cleared immigration it was 10:30 and the only option at T5 on arrival is Costa which I definitely did not want. Too late to order delivery once we got home too. So we had to be content with instant noodles. If you are hungry when you arrive at Munich airport (Budget at least one hour for the queues, even if you are a gold card holder or flying Business class), don't bother finding the lounge, but eat at one of the restaurants immediately after you are through. If you just want a quiet place to sit down and sip on a drink, only then head to the BA lounge.

In light of recent improvements, I have upgraded my review of this lounge from "crummy" to "shabby…read moregenteel". Congratulations, BA!
