    My family's dogs have been going here for as long as I can remember. Every vet and tech are amazing! They are taking every precaution when it comes to covid and their process is super efficient! You walk your pup to the door and the vet tech takes it from there. When the appointment is over, they call to tell you the results and then you pay over the phone! I was worried my dog would be scared going in without me but they said he was great and I'm sure that's because of how well they handled him! Take your dog here, they'll be in great hands!! Additionally we've had every dog neutered here, never had any complications with that either! Literally a 10/10!

    It took a really good experience with my new vet and his staff to make me reflect on how bad my experiences had been with The Vet House! My first horrible experience with this bunch started several years ago when I called and asked what I needed to do to get a prescription for Drontal. I was told that I did not need a prescription or a vet visit, was asked the weight of my Golden Retriever and to go ahead and come on up to get the two tablets. Fair enough, I arrived there and was charged $150.00 for the two tablets by the front office gal and went about my way feeling that the cost was exorbitant!!! Last time I bought Drontal it was $20.00 for the two tablets via Petmobile Pet Hospital. You can honestly get a prescription via Chewy for Drontal for as low as $3.40, depending on weight. I felt the front office attendant/office manager possibly pocketed the money! My next HORRIBLE experience came when I attempted to book an appointment for the second round of the Leptospirosis vaccination for my Pyrador pup, Barron. Was told to go ahead and come on up on a Saturday and it would only take 5 minutes to administer the booster. I waited in the waiting room for 45 minutes and then after finally ASKING was told that there was an emergency and it would take a bit longer! Again, the front office staff were very surly acting and unprofessional and could of cared less that I needed to leave to meet a contractor at my house! The crowning blow came when I had an emergency with my Golden Retriever that had broken her leg. After consulting with Dr. Swann, we decided at her age it was probably best to put her to sleep! First time I have ever had to do that and I was very upset by having to make that decision. One of the front office staff consulted with us about cremation or a plaster paw print before the procedure. We opted for the paw print and the last thing I told the attendant when paying (they anxiously had their hand out) was that she would see that it get done. I paid the $200.00 fee and left. Never heard from a anyone regarding picking up Bonnie's paw mold. Finally I went up there and the front office girl looked in the file drawer for Bonnie's paw mold and it was not there. She disappeared into the back and finally came out and said that it appears that it did not get done!?! OMG! I was extremely crushed! She said that the Office Manager would phone me, but that call ever came!?! Finally I called and asked to speak with the office manager and had to leave a message. The Practice Manager phoned me back and apologized for the incident and offered to have a plaque made in Bonnie's name. I told him about the horrible customer service I had received on multiple occasion, and he insulted my by saying, well, if you are ok with waiting in a long line for Pet Mobile Service, then therein lies the difference between a brick & mortar vet and a mobile vet. I HAVE NEVER HAD TO WAIT MORE THAN 15 MINUTES AT THE MOBILE VET CLINIC, yet I waited over 45 minutes in THE VET HOUSE lobby and was not made aware of an emergency! So, I have been insulted and over charged for the WORST SERVICE FROM A VET, I HAVE EVER HAD! Don't walk away for this practice! RUN!!!! One last thing, the Practice Manager DID NOT want me to burden Dr. Swann with all of this and there was no offer to refund my money!

    I took my fur babe, Charlie for a physical and a strain canine flu shot after moving into the neighborhood. The staff at the Vet House was wonder and accommodating! The receptionists and the technicians were beyond kind and caring. My favorite part of the visit, except meeting Dr. Preisst was meeting the cute chihuahua who seems to run then front office! So adorable. I am happy to call The Vet House Charlie's new vet.

Odds are if you're on Yelp looking for reviews of pet sitters, you'd probably like how Lori handles client communication. Before I went out of town, I googled "Pet sitting Richardson" and she came up. I contacted her through her e-mail on the site and got a response the next morning. I submitted a few forms online (pet names, meds, vet, etc.), sent her my address, and she shows up. My point is that we didn't play phone tag for days. If you're trying to leave town, spending all day on the phone doesn't work, but Lori is great about arranging everything online. Oh yeah, this is supposed to be about her pet sitting. Before I leave she comes over and introduces herself . . . to my cats. I thought that was funny. She hangs out for a few minutes, figures out where everything is, learns a little bit about each cat, takes a key and agrees to come by when I'm gone. That's pretty much all there is to it. While I'm gone she e-mails me updates about each visit. Pet sitting for cats is rather straight-forward: "Cleaned litter box. Filled bowl. Petted them when they walked by. Then they slept again." But I think updates would be relevant for someone with elderly pets who needed meds, or for pets who needed keep vet appointments. I can see where daily updates on a high-maintenance dog would be important. FWIW, she has a huge SUV, so if she had to take you 200lb Mastif to the vet, she could. When I got back, cats were still alive, had full food bowls and clean litter. So, she covered all three elements of cat sitting. She left the key under the mat (which I suggested) and a few days later she e-mailed me a reasonable bill with the price she quoted. I now know all I need to do is e-mail her the dates I'm gone and ask her to come by Day 1, 2, 3, etc and my cats will be taken care of as well as if I were at home.

When I complained they weren't showing up in the time window they promised, she said refused to apologize or do anything about it and did not offer a refund for coming in to my home earlier then I was paying for. What made me have to completely stop using the service is much worse. They misinterpreted the clear schedule and instructions I gave them and came into my home on the wrong day. When they called me to ask where my dog is and I told them they weren't suppose to walk that day, she literally yelled at me repeatedly. This is them coming in to my home on the wrong day and yelling at me for it, instead of apologizing. Their excuse was they sent me an invoice with different days. That is still their fault for showing up on the wrong days when I sent a very clear calendar and instructions. It wouldn't have been a big deal at all if they justapologized, but no. She continued to tell at me and told me to get a new walker. I said gladly! Don't trust these people in your home with your pets.

The Pet Granny has helped me in so many ways -- from loving on our boys, Jackson (Italian Greyhound) and Lincoln (Doberman Pinscher) during midday visits to making sure they're feeling okay when they're sick, to saving our house from being flooded when one of our pipes froze. I'm not sure what I would do if I didn't have them around! They provide an excellent, reliable, trustworthy and friendly service. They never miss an appointment and have provided house-calls for me at the last minute when my plans have changed. I highly recommend The Pet Granny!

I also just tried local delivery for the first time as they had the huge 28lb bags of Worlds Best Cat litter on sale, and instead of trying to lug those home myself, I thought why not have them delivered? I ordered them at 319pm which is after the 1pm cutoff for same day delivery. I wasn't in a rush so next day totally fine. Bags were at my door 35 minutes later at 403pm. Wow!! Granted I live 1 mile from the store, but still! That's amazing service! I wouldn't expect that every time, could have had a lull in business or extra help then etc, so that shouldn't be what one would expect every time in the future, but this is the kind of service I'm referring to. Never had a problem with this store, been going for over 10 years and realized I have never written a review for them. Overdue! You can also do curb pick up or order ahead and pick up in the store, but most of the time I'm in the store shopping. Never overly crowded, and as I stated earlier usually always plenty of help. Even when backed up I don't think I've ever waited more than a minute or so. I prefer this smaller chain over the bigger box stores. Their rewards program just got easier last month and the discounts are legit. If you have a lot of pets especially, this is the place to go!
