I can't recommend The Fred enough. We held our wedding here in September 2025. It's nestled in a…read morequiet, cozy area of Ghent, and we loved the natural gardens for our photos. Their pricing was also perfect for our tight budget. We felt so lucky finding this gem. Eleise was wonderful. She always answered emails or made herself available when I wanted to visit the venue twice more after signing the contract. We had just under 50 guests, and the space worked beautifully for the romantic and intimate setting we wanted. We had an outdoor ceremony and used both the indoor and outdoor spaces for our cocktail hour and reception. The only thing I wish had been different was being allowed to set up a little bit the day before. I was told it wasn't permitted due to past negative experiences. We were able to rehearse our outdoor ceremony the day before, but didn't have access to the indoor space. Because of that, there was a lot to do on the wedding day, and my crew simply didn't have enough time to get everything done. That wasn't The Fred's fault, I should've delegated things a little better and asked for more help. Looking back, even a couple of hours the day before just to walk through the space with my planning team and place stickies around the place explaining my vision would have helped tremendously. Just something to consider when choosing your venue.

I wish they can do something about the landscaping because It looks like big bushy weeds growing everywhere but I'm sure that's part of the "look" For the inside there are 2 floors you can make use of that includes a kitchen on the first floor. The center itself is spacious and for what I needed it for, it fit the need. The place is dated and could need some major remodeling.

Absolutely loved my first visit to Coalescence Coffee! This spot is more than just a coffee shop…read more It's a nonprofit community hub where everyone's welcome, and you really feel that vibe the moment you walk in. There's tons of space for remote work, community meetings, or just hanging out, and I noticed several groups using the open, airy cafe for coworking and conversation. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. I ordered the Monticello breakfast sandwich (with sausage, egg, cheddar, arugula, and a delicious aioli on an English muffin) and their Brown Sugar No. 05. A creative blend of brown sugar, rosemary, cinnamon, espresso, milk, and a hint of orange bitters. It was unique, refreshing, and seriously addicting! My friend went for the brown sugar latte and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, which she loved. I was so interested in their nonprofit work, and after a quick website visit, I learned that Coalescence creates space for all kinds of community groups to gather and learn together, partnering locally and globally to lift up important work. Events, co-working, and shared community workspace are all available, with donors and volunteers supporting the mission so this resource keeps growing. If you're looking for great coffee, delicious food, or just a welcoming place to connect, this is it. Can't wait to come back!

Couldn't find parking on street in front but they have large parking lot in back. Came just for coffee so didn't get to try their food offerings. They appear to take coffee serious here (with weight to measure out ingredients). I asked if they had coffee menu and shown menu on wall. But they actually had signature coffee menu at cash register that had some interesting drinks. Worth coming to get good coffee.

I would recommend the second option. Walk in are welcome but there was a little bit of confusion of where to go for check in for dine in vs to go even when it was less packed when we got there. but once we got seated everything was smooth after that and the layout of the cafe is pretty spacious where they have regular tables and booth seating and the layout of gave elevated cafe vibes. We did their lunch option it was $20 for either a appetizer and entree or appetizer and dessert we choose the first option and For drinks I did their hot chocolate that was really good and very chocolate forward and nice and smooth perfect for the cold weather. For food I try their garlic lover burger it was a little bit dry but still had that consistency of a burger and the garlic flavor was mild. The second option I try was the shrimp tempura it was my second favorite thing off the menu it was nice and light and had that perfect light crunch and the sauce was perfect combo for balance of richness. And the best part was the dessert the dulce de leche cheesecake was sweet and creamy and balanced and was very delicious I would recommend try out this was $5 dollars a good deal for a cheesecake.
